Terrible, misleading and insulting. My wife tells me after getting home she thought the mileage didnt match sticker. Sure enough it was about 1700 miles greater. Allen insults my intelligence by claiming cars lose value in only 10K mile increments, so all is equal - Yes, he really said this. I probably knew more on the subject than he did, but I quickly learned he is old school used car salesman and just tells you what you want to hear. Oh, he also said its all equal because CarMax allows unlimited mileage during your 7-day appraisal on the trade-in (wrong - they allow 300 miles). He was a "higher-up" salesmen (forgot his actual title), so he knew he was making false statements. He wouldnt answer when I challenged him on both of his ludicrous statements, he just tried to steer the conversation away. I felt like I was at Vinnies Auto Sales or something you see on TV. He eventually offers a free oil change (in exchange for us essentially letting a CarMax employee rent our car for a full month and using up 1700 miles without revising paperwork and price afterward). I was going to bring the car back but the wife really wanted it, not to mention I would have to just buy another from this place or lose the taxes. Allen pumped up the value of the oil change explaining it was synthetic oil (Audi) blah blah, which is true. Oil changes are well over $100 on this car if you dont do it yourself. I tell my wife to arrange certificate for oil change because Im through. She personally speaks to Allen and he sends her a $25 voucher?! I would calm down a little if he was a new employee, but like I said, he was at a higher level position. Any company that is rewarding this kind of behavior should not be trusted - at least at this location. Ive not had anywhere near this kind of shell game at other CarMax locations.

The experience at this dealership was horrible. I was trying to purchase a vehicle for myself daughters graduation and I was treated like a criminal. I went in to test drive the car on a Tuesday. I was informed by the sales associate that I needed to bring back with me proof of income, residency, and down payment that was it. I came back on that Saturday with what get asked of me and then I was told by the sales manager that needed different documents. I live over 45 minutes one way from the dealership and they could have informed of this before hand. I came back the next day with the requested documents. They proceeded to give me the run around then as well. I had to return that Monday. Again, they requested different documents and a larger down payment. I assumed they thought I could not purchase the vehicle. To end this nightmare myself fiance put more money down for me and we got the car. Subsequently 2 days later I took it back to the service department with multiple issues and the discovery of 2 recall notices on the vehicle that I was not made aware of. When I left the vehicle with the service department and told them myself concerns they told me they were swamped and I would have to leave it. After I got me and myself daughter a ride home they called me and informed me by car was ready for pick up and that nothing was wrong with it. When I went back to pick it up the service guy Steve implied that I had no idea about cars and that by car was fine. I drove it to the gas station put the car in park and it stalled and died. Then when I called to inform them he told me there was nothing wrong with myself car. I contacted an actual Chevy dealership in the area and I am taking the car to them to inspect. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS CARMAX!

I cannot say enough to describe the positive experience I had a Carmax of Roswell. They say customer service is less about your company and your product but mostly about your people and every person I encountered there far exceeded my high expectations! Jay Jenkins was more than helpful, patient and kind in helping me with the purchase of my beautiful new car, having my old car appraised, storing the old car at Carmax while I worked through some issues in selling it and even offering kind support when I had to have my ex-husband come in to sign over a title that still had his name on it. Due to the ex-husband issue, I also had extensive dealings with Lauren Jefferies and several other folks in the business office. They were more than helpful in assisting me in getting my old 2002 Volkswagon sold for a price that was more than fair. Every person I encountered in the business office seemed to be working with me and offering patience and support through all the drama it took to complete the sale. Jay, Lauren and everyone else I encountered at Carmax, even if just passing in the hall were friendly courteous and clearly there to do what they could to help me. In the end I love my new car and had a wonderful experience at Carmax, but its the stellar customer service I received that will keep me talking about the experience and recommend anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle should see the great team at Carmax of Roswell!

bobby koller was a cool sales guy. we test drove cars all day, and i mean all day. i would not have put up with me for that long. i may have driven 10 cars, but i ended up with one that im very happy with. they do appointments here, so if you know what you want, that might be a good thing to call ahead about. if you are like me and have no idea what you want, just walk onto the lot. they keep the cars unlocked so you can go sit in cars and twist knobs at your own pace. also, free coffee, which was a welcomed treat after sleeping in my broke down sedan curled up in the fetal position in the back seat. i cant speak to fairness of prices they offer for trade-ins as mine was scrap. their scrap value offer seemed fair considering id have to pay to have it towed anywhere else. if someone from the place reads this, the giant tv with appointments on it was kind of worrisome to me and to an older couple that came in behind me that asked if the place was by appointment only. maybe just run some stock car footage or carmax ads on it instead? i really liked how i was able to walk on the lot and open the doors without a sales person chaperoning me. you should let people know about that. the no pressure environment was unlike any dealership id ever been to, in a good way. in another 12 years, when this car gives up the ghost at 300k miles and leaves me stranded on 285, ill be excited to see these folks again.

At first the sales process was extremely quick and easy. I didnt finance the car through CarMax and when the contract was sent to the bank they noticed that only my signature was on the vehicle contract but the loan was obtained using both mine and my wifes name. (I got the loan on-line no signatures required) Now I had to get my wifes signature on the vehicle contract and she was in London. No problem in this day and age, right? Wrong; CarMax informed me that they do not FedEx contracts even after I offered to pay the FedEx charges. They tried to get me to finance the vehicle through CarMax which was at a much higher interest rate than what I had secured at my bank. After trying to reason with them for an hour I told them to void the deal and Id go elsewhere. My downpayment had already cleared my bank but CarMax informed me that it would be 7 to 10 business days before I would get my refund. Finally the manager came over and apologized and informed me that they would FedEx the contact. I had to complete all of the sales paperwork again which took twice as long as the first time as the sales person was constantly leaving to speak with the manager. I purchased the car (after 3 hours) which has been running flawlessly, but I would definitely think twice about purchasing another car from that dealership.
