This review may seem unfairly harsh so it is important to read this full review. I recently purchased a used GMC Envoy from Carl Black in Roswell. The sales person, Eduardo Villa was very open, easy to talk with and did what he said hed do. I would buy another vehicle from Eduardo should the need arise. The original vehicle I came to see had been shipped to a wholesaler the day before and thus not available. Those things happen. In an effort to sell me an equivalent vehicle, they had one that was available at their Kennesaw store and had it brought over for me to take a look at. Upon acceptance of the negotiated price, Eduardo processed the paperwork and sent the car to be cleaned up for delivery. Thats when the issues started. The vehicle really wasnt ready to be sold. Between taking the car from the used car lot to the detail shop (same location, I presume), the check engine light came on. Had I not refused to accept the car, the finance group simply felt that since Id already signed the papers, it was my problem. Fortunately, the service manager (Bill) stepped in along with Eduardo and attempted to correct the issue. I dont believe that should have been necessary which is part of the reason for less than the highest rating but I am thankful that Eduardo and Bill accepted the responsibility to resolve the situation. I was disappointed that the finance department initially felt otherwise, thus the less than favorable rating. The story continues! Unfortunately, the fix turned into a second and then a third and ultimately a FOURTH fix before the vehicle was finally delivered (or at least I hope as it has yet to be driven more than 10 miles). For his efforts, I rate both the service department and the used car sales side with average to above average, even excellent grades for their concern although I think you can see my frustration and disappointment. I was told that because this vehicle came from "another location", no one was certain if the vehicle was ever "inspected". I am amazed that one Carl Black location has such poor communication with another. They sure didnt have any problem getting the vehicle over from the other location! Just prior to accepting the delivery of the vehicle, when the car was in for its "final" attempt at service, I received a call from the Inventory Manager who asked me if Id consider trading it in on a newer vehicle as she had someone "looking" for an Envoy and she didnt have any in inventory. Well, given my disappointment with the previous attempts to deliver the vehicle, why not! Unfortunately, I never heard back from her so I guess she realized the folly in the attempt to offer a "reasonable" trade-in offer. Oh, well. Today is the second day in which I am now the owner of this vehicle. Yes, I did spend the money for the extended warranty. Given the delivery experience, I felt this was a wise albeit rather costly investment. Time will tell....

I came here because my job sponsored this dealership so they gave us all free oil changes. Little did I know they would be the reason my car continues to mess up to this day. I brought my car in with no problems, just needed a basic oil change. Instead of changing my oil they drained my transmission fluid. Once I was leaving I noticed my car jumping almost everytime I accelerated. For the next 3 weeks I came by trying to speak with a manager so they could look at my car. The first 3 times I came by I was told there wasnt a manager around and they were "on break", so I would speak with the nearest employee to see if they would take a look at it because I knew my transmission fluid was gone. They literally told me theres no way they couldve gotten that mixed up and shined me on. The 4th time (after a few weeks of having to drive it messed up) I finally got to speak with a manager. Keep in mind Im a young girl so its hard to be taken seriously in this industry as it is but I did my research and literally had to convince them they did something wrong. Well once they finally looked at it, they confirmed their "mechanic" got it mixed up with the oil and drained the wrong tube. So they put the transmission fluid back and did the oil change. Once they were done they seriously had the balls to try to sell me an engine mount because by then it had been broken! Which only happened because my car had no fluid which made my engine slam into it the weeks I had been trying to get their attention to fix it! Not only did they try to sell me that but they literally quoted me $550 for this when at a normal rate it costs about $250. Regardless it shouldve been fixed for free since they messed it up! They did not make things right at all, only began the never ending cycle of always having something wrong with my car to this day. Things have escalated so fast after that one incident and they never gave me a receipt so I dont even have proof of going there. Words cant describe how irate and powerless I feel and cant believe this place is still in business with the shady service they give. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR. Im sure they assumed I was a free loader since I had a coupon and Im young; but that is just over the top messed up to intentionally screw up someones car and never make it right. I wish there was more that I could do, but the least I can do is help prevent others from experiencing this over rated company with under educated mechanics.

I used to live near the Kennesaw location and for them, I gave them 5-stars. They were quick, easy to talk to and I felt like my business was appreciated. However, when I moved to Roswell and went to this location; I dealt with multiple people on the phone and in person and felt that because I was looking for a cheaper truck this time around I was ignored and pushed to the side as quickly as possible despite needing a car more than ever. It didnt happen on one instance, it happened 3 times. I first went to the dealership with a friend after work. Since he wasnt focused on a specific car, they spent their time trying to goad him into a more expensive vehicle than he wanted. I was pretty much pushed to the side after 5 minutes... I get totally get that, but this is where I start getting upset. The used car manager called me the following day and I told him it wasnt a big deal and that I get the reasons I got pushed aside (and I do). Since I was trying to buy a truck under 20,000 (as cheap as possible is what I said and no more than 20k) and my buddy was just looking for a car under $400/month in payments that his needs outweighed my own. He insisted I come back to the dealership and talk to him specifically. After a little bit of verbal arm-twisting I told him I would and that, even though I had a POS trade-in, Id drive that in to see if it was worth anything. I even had a scheduled appointment, that they confirmed probably everyday. I got there right at my appointment, and the manager wasnt there, which was annoying in itself. What was worst was the assistant manager didnt really know what my needs were. He was a nice guy and I could tell he was doing his best, so I dont fault him. But when someone calls you and gets his lackeys to call you on a daily basis to make sure youre coming; you better show up for it yourself and have the inventory knowledge ahead of time... A heads up for the assistant manager to make some phone calls and research before I get there would have been stellar too. Again, I dont blame the guy I actually met with, but he just looked on the website at the two other locations, something I couldve done... at home... in my own time... while watching TV. Thanks for nothing. Theres more to this story, but you get the gist. Will not be going back... EVER. Ill take my business to the Chevy dealership down the road or drive out to Kennesaw from now on.
