I recently rented furniture from the Hiram, GA location Dec 2016 -Jan 2017. 1. The delivery and drop off to my home was great! No complaints there. 2. Make sure you get rental payment schedule IN WRITING. We specified monthly and walked out of the place thinking our payment was due in a month. We got a call about 2 weeks later shaking us down for money saying we are to pay weekly. To us, paying weekly was annoying! MONTHLY! 3. Customer service: Left with a bad taste in our mouth, we said "screw this" and decided to pay the remaining balance and have the furniture picked up. We called on Monday to have it picked up on Thursday. Thursday, they sent someone to GET THE MONEY, but not the furniture! They said they thought we said we were going to pay and keep the furniture! They reassured us again a crew would pick up furniture in 20 mins. No show. A call back and we were told the store was closing and it would have to be the next day. No courtesy call as we sat by the window looking for the truck? Really? :( ) I normally would not complain but.... I had new furniture delivered with expectation the rental would be picked up. My living room is cluttered now. How many times in my busy day must I call a rental place to do business! Wow! 4. The only thing I could mutter under my breath was "OMG! They are so ghetto here." It felt like McDonalds in the hood when you drive off with half your order missing and you have to go back inside and deal with people who dont care to get it right. Keep in mind, this is MY FIRST online review of anything! For me to go out of my way to type this means they really did us a number. Dont sign a contract with these guys! I have been renting from rent a center for 13 months. Until recently i have had no issues. When my husband and I lived in Woodstock we had great service. Once we moved to Hiram and transferred the account to the Hiram Rent A Center we have had issues galore. Wednesday 7/5/16 i went into the store to discuss somethings with the worker there whos called Becca, she quoted me a price, Saturday the 9th i had somethings picked up and returned by my choice. Then was told by another worker they call Steph that the price was 4 times the quotes price of 7/5/16 by Becca. I was hung up on by Becca after being called a liar. After calling back to the store, Steph said "I promise i will call you back Monday at 10am", Monday at 10:30am i call the store and was told Steph was not in (by Becca), i wait all day and no call. I would STRONGLY advise NEVER EVER rent from the Hiram Rent a Center. The 2 females I have dealt with there are rude and irresponsible. Now waiting for the Manager of the store to call me.. I will NEVER go to this rent a center again, especially as long as Becca works there. She has a "I am better than you " attitude,

Ive used rent a center in Tampa FL and loved the customer service experience, I decided to try the Hiram store thinking I would get the same experience. I used cash instead of credit card as the second payment and before the month was over I received a call stating they never received a payment and intended on picking up the merchandise, they had "lost the money", after going back and forth, they finally found it, from then on- every payment had some type of issue surrounding it that was no fault of mine. I finally made the last payment and I was told I could call and have it processed over the phone.. the day of payment, I was told they only accept cash for the last payment and it has to be in person, all this after being told different. This whole experience with rent a center was frustrating, unprofessional and thinking of how odd it is for 2 Ladies to be so un-organized and confused (every time I called). Note to self and others- please allow this business time to get re-focused, re- trained, re -grouped and re- equipped to handle customers professionally.
