We had a stackable washer dryer unit purchased there in 2006. Im a healthcare provider and this is our office unit. Having no washer dryer means I have to bring laundry home where our family of four is already busting at the seams with our own laundry. Its been fairly reliable over the years. Recently it started squeaking badly and then died. The repair guy from Clayton came out and said we needed a $400+ motor. We agreed, he ordered the part, and a week later returned to do the repairs. He said he didnt have the right tool and had to return the next day. He returned and proclaimed that it was fixed. I asked if the squeak was fixed and he said yes. It wasnt. We asked Clayton to send a repair man back out. They said they would be here between 1 and 6 pm. No show - no call. I was finished with patients but paid my staff to wait on the repair man who never showed. They came the next day and said it couldnt be diagnosed without bringing the unit to their shop and pulling it apart. They retrieved the unit and called us a few days later (now we are easily at the three week mark). After pulling our unit apart, we were told the transmission needed to be replaced at $900+!! At this point we obviously needed a new washer / dryer unit. Clayton Appliance had the audacity to offer us $200 toward a new unit! We would have bought a new unit on day one if they sent a competent repair man in the first place. They agreed to credit us $400 toward the new unit so we bought one. A guy delivered it the next day and did not hook it up. I went to do it myself and discovered there was no power cord! I called Clayton Appliance and I was livid. When the woman "helping" me said we will have to call you back, I raised my voice and they hung up on me. I did not curse at her or call her names. I called back again and spoke to someone new. I said I would stay calm if she would hear me out. She heard me out. At the end of my call, I said, "so you see, if any of your customers has the right to be angry, its (my name)." She replied, "What is your name sir?" I said. "ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME??!! I JUST GAVE IT TO YOU LESS THAN THREE SECONDS AGO! I proceeded to have a staff member in my office complete the call so as to not rupture a brain artery. Do business with them if you like dealing with incompetency. They were good at one time. Never again.

These people do not guarantee their warranties! Everybody that works there are liars! They are not to be trusted! They will rip you off and scam you with the price and service! Watch out for them. The have an employee there that likes to bully women and threaten them! He is supposed to be their top saleman and has been there for along time. Yeah whatever! He has no respect for himself so that should tell what kind of person he is! Really sad when a grown man has to bully woman and threaten her. BTW do not do business with them they have a bunch of cabbage patch babies working there. That should also tell you something about the company. Serious check out the kiddies that are supposed to be managers. Theyre a joke!

This so called busniess is a complete hoax and they are nothing but scam artists! Please visit the GA Better Business Bureaus website as well and see how many complaints they have received in just 2010 alone! It would explain why they cant even hold an accreditation with something as simple as the Better Bussiness Bureau. They have no problem lying to your face and will rip you off in a heart beat! I am in complete and utter ammazement that there are 2 positive reviews. I would even venture as far to say that they were posted by Clayton Appliance employees (management). Businesss like Clayton Appliance, is one of the many reasons our country is as corrupt as is it.

My husband normally uses Clayton Appliance for several homes he handles for his job. He bought a dryer from them that they installed themselves. The dryer has stopped working completely within its warranty period. They have sent a tech out to fix it several times. Now they are saying the dryer vent is clogged and it will cost extra to have it fixed. The complete vent was replaced 1 week ago. The dryer is faulty and they refuse to listen to reason. Before it stopped working, the clothes were too hot to touch. Yet, they want to charge to fix it because their tech had no clue what he is doing!!!! Will not do business again with them.

"Very satisfied with the customer service I received. The store salesman did not try to force me into buying anything. He was honestly interested in getting me the best products to fit my needs. I purchased a whirlpool refrigerator for my mom and a fireplace for myself. Price was great, and when it was delivered, it was packaged so well that we could hardly get it out of the box. Very, very pleased!! *******PS: If you dont have a fireplace this is the best place to get it.

I know for a fact that this company cares about their employees and customers. My parents have been going there since I was a little girl and they have always been helpful, considerate and very knowledgeable about their services and products. They like that Clayton Appliance is a family owned and operated business and wouldnt think of going somewhere else. It sounds like some of the complaints I have read on here are just upset employees.

I have done business with Clayton Appliance since late 1970s and they have always treated me right. They are a smaller family owned business and it makes a difference how they do customers as opposed to large companies that are so vast they simply cannot give the treatment I like. Thank you Clayton Appliance for sticking through the hard times and still being "great"! JA Mc

These folks are true professionals who know their industry and craft! Chris in parts was a tremendous help with a refrigerator problem that had the equipment manufacturer stumped. The rest of the team are experts across all types of appliances. Thank you for your focus on customer service!!!!

My Kenmore dryer would not dry our clothes. The parts girl at Clayton helped me diagnose it over the phone. Then told me to bring her the parts to test for free. what? No Charge! They had the parts in stock. Fixed my dryer for $20.00. Made me a customer from now on and made my wife happy.

Purchased an over the rage microwave. They had a good selection at a reasonable price and were able to deliver and install next day. The delivery was prompt and the installation was pretty clean. I would consider using these guys again over the big box stores.
