Ive been going here to get tattooed since they opened and I have never been disappointed and have always left more than pleased by not only the quality of work, the diversity of talent displayed by the artists but mostly their dedication to their craft and appreciation and respect for not only their customers but their fellow tattoo artists in the local area. When it comes to professionalism, everyone seems to have a different opinion on what professionalism is. I think that you have to measure professionalism by the profession you relate it to. You will not get the professionalism here that you get at a doctors office, a retail store or even a fine dining restaurant or the most upscale salon. Their professionalism is that they are a team extremely dedicated and experienced in their field and everyone I have referred to Old Tyme has been more than impressed by their level of talent. In addition the running jokes around the shop keep you entertained and ease the tension and pain of the tattoo itself. You will get the best work whether you want the more new school style, or the old school style, vibrant colors, custom work but most importantly you will have a great time when you are there, you will laugh, you will be entertained as you bond with not only the artists but other clients getting tattooed. Never will you experience a team of tattoo artists speak with such conviction on art, politics, economics, literature, movies, books, politics, childcare and morals in a casual manner most journalists and media sources would envy, haha. I have many impressive tattoos, some even have won major awards at tattoo conventions and have been displayed in tattoo magazines distributed nationwide. To say I know a great tattoo artist when I see one is an under statement. I would feel safe and would consider myself extremely fortunate to sit in the chair of not only my artist John, but in Weylins chair or Franks chair as well. I have had my hair cut by their barber Tony on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. I cannot promise you that they are above bad habits. I cannot promise you that the material being discussed will be "PG" rated. I can promise you that you will get a GREAT tattoo and you will have a great time, a great laugh and a GREAT experience. I have the utmost respect for each and every artist there and I have been in other tattoo studios in the area and not one of them have ever said anything bad or negative about these guys. In the tattoo industry, THIS speaks volumes at not only the level of talent but the level of professionalism that bonds these guys as well.

I dont agree with some of the other reviewers on here. First of all, if youre going to compare other places/artist to the people here, personally I think its ignorant to say someones artwork is better than another. Besides the point here, Ive been here a few times and never been happier with the work that John and Frank has done. This place is very comfortable and personable. The employees here are also very down to earth and welcoming. Youre walking into a tattoo shop with artist that have been tattooing for years, I am having trouble understanding what people expect when they come in and complain about the employees not being "professional". I would rather walk into a place where I could be myself and comfortable than have artists vulturing impatiently around waiting for you to book an appointment (speaking from past bad experience from other places) I will continue to come back to Olde Tyme because this place has done nothing but leave me with exactly what I want. This place rocks!

The 1st time I came in it was a really good, I was greeted promptly and the staff was all really friendly, Weyland did my tattoo and it came out great. The 2nd time I came up here the two guys working were playing xbox, and thats fine, Im sure they have a lot of downtime during the day, but they sat there for over 5 mins with me standing at the desk waiting to be help even though they saw me there as I walked in. I can not remember the tattoo artist name, but he did a pretty good job, there was a slight error on my tattoo but Im sure I could go in to him and he would touch it up for free. But I will have to say just because of the customer service I got that second visit I do not believe I will be coming back here.

Absolutely fantastic haircuts by Tony Powledge, hes got reasonable prices for haircuts, beard trims, hippie killers, and buzz cuts. Great lines of products in the shop and revitalizes the true meaning of a barbershop. Keeps everything local and true. Every tattoo artist in the shop is very talented. None are afraid of new challenges and they all feed off of each other. They will help you convert whatever you want into the best way to do your tattoo. No one in the shop will let you leave until you are completely satisfied. I find it hard to leave the shop every time I go!

Fantastic barber work by Tony Powledge, theres not a better place in the greater Augusta area to get a haircut. All of the tattoo artists in the parlor are nothing short of stellar; each demonstrate varying levels of creativity, artistry, and specialization. Without a doubt the cleanest shop in town, and the most welcoming. Everyone that works at Olde Tyme truly cares for the customers well-being and satisfaction. Ive never left the building wearing anything other than a badass new cut, brilliant fresh ink, or a big dumb smile.

I am only giving this a poor-fair review because there is not a worse option...I got a tattoo from this place, I ended up stopping the "artist" before he completed the "tattoo" it is so horrible and SOO not what I wanted that I am now in the proccess of having it removed. If you want a flash art tattoo that requires little to now artistic skill then this is your place! I am warning anyone who is thinking of coming to this place to NOT go here....save your time, money, and skin.....GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Went for a haircut, the man said since my hair was long there would be a small up charge for the haircut. The up charge was 75% of the haircut price $15 up charge, $35 total. And then when I paid him he didnt give e me change, just assuming that his tip was included. He also reeked of cigarettes and gossips like a schoolgirl and curses like a sailor. Haircut was also thinner than agreed. Going elsewhere tomorrow to fix this.

Great place to get a hair cut. Its clean, they pay attention, they take their time, and are good barbers. Theyre not in the "in and out" style business which is why I enjoy this barber and continue to go back. They cost a little more that Super Cuts or Sports Clips but its money well spent and you pay for what you get, which is a quality cut that you know was done well.

Chip did my tattoo and he was AMAZING! All the guys in there seemed really nice as well. Chip was very detailed to ensure awesome quality of my tattoo and tht was very important to me. The shop was extremely clean and had a great vibe to it! They have amazing artwork they have previously done to look at as well. I will be making no this my go to place for my tattoos.
