I had two very different experiences with Calvet Couture. If I had reviewed this shop when I bought my dress, I would have given it 5 stars. I never felt rushed, they were unbelievably accommodating and I walked away with a sample that fit like it had been made just for me. I raved about the store to anyone who would listen and was so excited to bring my girls back to try on bridesmaids dresses. We booked an appointment in December, a couple of days before a trunk show. My girls, my mom and I showed up on time and were immediately brought back to the bridesmaids dresses. The owner brought us a bench, showed us the dressing rooms and that was the last time we were helped. I had to track someone down to help me clip back the dress for one of my girls, because she was drowning it. An employee handed me the clips and walked away. After trying on the dresses, we decided on one of them and tried to find someone to take measurements. After waiting 5 minutes, we just decided to leave. It was an incredibly awkward experience. I was so confused, because I had received such good treatment when I had purchased my dress. There was one other bride in the store at the time, and I understand they were dragging boxes out for the trunk show, but we were absolutely neglected. I eventually called back a week later and let the store know which dresses my girls were wearing. We decided to order their dresses through the store, as opposed to Nordstrom, due to the discount they would receive. I decided to just let it go, beacuse the owner had been nothing but nice to me and I assumed December is just a busy time of the year. I eventually ordered my headpiece and earrings through Calvet because they do have such a great selection. My headpiece and the girls dresses arrived in May, and one of my bridesmaids volunteered to pick everything up. I emailed the store and let them know she would be in that evening and they said it was fine. I guess evening was not specific enough, or I overlooked a request for a specific time, because when she arrived in the evening to pick up the dresses, she was ignored for 10 minutes. She finally approached an employee, who appeared to be doing inventory. She told the employee that I had emailed them earlier about picking the items up and the girl looked at her and said, "red." Confused, she asked the employee what she meant and she told her to "ask the girl in red." After finding the girl in red and explaining to her she needed to pick up the items, girl in red flipped out at her and started blaming ME for why the dresses werent ready, and proceeded to yammer on about how this was all my fault. Again, I never had a negative experience with the owner but it is absolutely inappropriate for an any employee to trash a customer. I really wanted to give Calvet Couture 5 stars, but with such inconsistent treatment, I simply couldnt.

My experience at Calvet Couture was one of a kind. I had found Alexandras boutique through a designers website. Prior to any dress shopping I thought I had found THE DRESS on Angel Sanchezs website and Calvet Couture was the closest store to Tampa that carried his collection. The dress that I was coveting was not yet in stores, but to my delight, Alexandra reached out to the designer and arranged for the sample to be sent in to her store for my visit. I was anxious to try on dresses though, so we decided to go in before the dress got there to get a feel for what I liked. My mom and I came in on our first visit a month or so after I got engaged. We were greeted with champagne and we had the store to ourselves for the entire appointment. I pulled probably 10 dresses and was kind of all over the place about what I wanted. Alexandra and her assistant were so helpful and unbiased with their advice and they quickly picked up on my style. It was like shopping with good friends! The appointment was so much fun and was such a personal, memorable and sentimental visit for me and my mom. It was everything I romanticized trying on wedding dresses would be. By the end of my appointment we narrowed down my choices for the next appointment to compare to the dress that I had come in for initially. When I went in for my second appointment we went through the dresses one more time and I got to try on the Angel Sanchez dress. I ended up falling in love with a dress that I found at the very last minute in my previous appointment and I decided that day that it was the one! We also were able to decide on my vail, belt and bridesmaid dresses. Alexandra and her team are wonderful and accommodating. Calvet Couture offers a beautiful curated collection of designer dresses that make narrowing down your options simple. Alexandra is extremely knowledgable about all of her designers and had great suggestions about fabric, fit and the how the bridesmaids dresses would look in photos. I wouldnt want to change anything about our experience.

Our experience here was incredible!!! We came on a Saturday and even though it was busy, my girl Becca made me feel like I was the only one in the shop. The dress selection is the best Ive seen compared to some of the other shops in Winter Park. The boutique is super contemporary and they have all the latest styles and designers. Its a beautiful shop thats large enough to make you feel like your not on top of the other brides but not too large to where you feel swallowed by the size of the store. All the girls were great and super supportive of the dresses you try on, but Im so thankful I got paired up with Becca. She was the sweetest and our personalities meshed right away. She had a way of not making you feel self conscious in the dressing room and her taste in dresses was perfectly meshed with mine! She was so patient and really made the whole experience wonderful and super fun! She is a huge asset to your company and I recommend any bride coming to this shop to specifically request her! I spent an hour and a half here, and tried on around 12 dresses till we found "the one". We were going between 2 dresses and Becca told me that either one would be perfect, but it was all about which one I could picture the most on the big day. This really helped me choose between the two. I wish I could relive that day over and over and mostly because Becca was so fun to be around, and of course trying on my dress again! If youre thinking of going to any other bridal shops in the Orlando/Winter Park area, dont even bother. Head straight to Calvet Couture and I know youll find your dream dress just like I did. I HIGHLY recommend that every bride visit Calvet Couture bridal!! Calvet Couture Bridal made my dress shopping experience better than I could have ever dreamed it would be. As soon as I walked in Alexandra made me, my mother, and my mother in law feel right at home. This was the BEST shopping experience I have EVER had. It didnt even feel like shopping. Alexandra set the atmosphere for a fun, relaxed appointment filled with laughs, tears, and joy. There was absolutely NO PRESSURE to purchase a gown from her salon. This made the experience focused more about me and what I loved rather than her making a sale. Hands down one of the best days of my life and I wish I could re-live it over and over again. I cant wait until my dress comes in and I get to go back to visit and have my alterations done. I went to a few other stores where I felt completely taken over by the sales person. I had so much anxiety - I felt like I didnt have a lot of options (as they didnt let me try on that many dresses) and there was a lot of sales pressure for me to buy a dress before I left. However - at Calvet Couture, Alexandra let me pick out as many dresses as I wanted to try on. Anything that caught my eye she told me to grab just in case that was my dress! After trying on all the dresses I chose I found the PERFECT dress for my big day. I found it because I loved it and not because I felt pressure to buy it! I cannot tell you enough how amazing my experience was at Calvet Couture. TRUST ME if you want someone to help you find a dress visit Alexandra at Calvet Couture Bridal. You will not regret it.
