If you are getting married you need to read this! I am getting married on May 5th 2012. I found what i though was going to be my perfect wedding dress at this store. I am trying to have a simple wedding and not go over board with the look, so naturally i thought that is what i wanted in a dress. last year my mother and i went dress shopping for a day and we went every where. so many bridal stores and all they did was push me into dresses that i really had no clue if that was what i really wanted. we spent hours trying on dresses. when i came to Nellys store she new what i wanted and helped me find a beautiful very simple gown in like 30 min. At that time i thought it was the one. Yesterday I went for my final fitting and i had this picture in my head on what it would look like and could not wait. But once i put the dress on which was now fitted to my size! I hated it and started to cry. I felt like when it was all said and done all i did was purchase an over priced prom dress. My mother and Nelly came to my side and told me everything was going to be alright. They immediately started to pull other dresses from everywhere. Even off the manacins, which is not something Nelly will just do for anyone who walks into her store. She really takes alot of pride in what she chooses to show off in the windows. but she did it for me. in about an hour and 15 dresses latter the last dress Nelly put on me was magic! I actually looked like a bride in this gorgouse gown she pulled out of the window for me and it almost fit perfect! She told me everything was goig to be alright and the only thing that mattered is if i was happy. she told me she would do the alterations and have it ready for me on this Friday! she even tried to not charge my mother for the alterations on the new dress, but my mother insisted she pay. Nelly was so kind, professional, careing, attentive and some how really new what i needed at that moment. She turely cares about her clients and her store is HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE MOST RELAXED, ONE OF A KIND, BEST PLACES TO GO IF YOU WANT THE PERFECT WEDDING DRESS! I can not thank you enough Nelly from the bottom of my heart for being such an awsome person and making me so happy. It is a hard thing to grasp when as bride you make such a big change like this less than two weeks before your wedding but you pulled it off for me and i thank god i walked into your store last year and chose to buy a dress from you! Ladies out there this is your one and only day where it is all about you! Dont you want your dress and the people who are involved in your dress to feel the same way. Well that is exactly what you will get at Aventura Bridal. The perfect dress and a staff who will do what ever it takes to make you the most beautiful bride no matter how many times it takes. DONT DO IT!!! Went here because the bride thought it would be better on the budget. Dress prices beat competitors, or at least we thought. I can go into any store and buy a 0/2 off the rack and need no alterations. When I was measured, I asked what size it would translate to, Nelly would not say and it depended on the designer. Ok fair enough. About a month before the wedding I didnt get a call that my dress was in but a few of the other bridesmaids did. When I called they told me they didnt have it and they would take a size 8 and fit it to my size. I was iffy but ok. Turns out, they found mine but neglected to order one of the other bridesmaids. She tells me over the phone that the size 4 is ready for me. I was skeptical and asked her to make sure that was my size per the measurements she took, she confirmed that it was. When I went to pick up the dress and try it on, it fell below my waist. They proceeded to tell me that if I wore a bra the dress would fit,( note: I could literally wear 7 bras and it still wouldnt have fit). THEY MAKE MONEY ON ALTERATIONS! 2 out of 5 girls were ordered the wrong size and 1 wasnt ordered a dress at all! BRIDES BE WARE, dealing with their lack of organization, attitude, and lack of competence and truth is not worth the couple of bucks you think youll save!!!! Major major headache. BTW I just got my dress from them on 10/9/11 and now have to take it somewhere else and wont get my dress fixed until 10/19/11 and the wedding is 10/22/11. Thanks!

The owner of the store ( Nellie) showed discrimination in the purest form. She accused me of not being serious about buying a wedding dress because I came with my 19 month old son. She referred to him as a "screaming baby" ( when in fact he was not screaming at all). She looked at my child with disgust and looked at me with even more distaste. She accused me of not being able to read ( her sign on the door) after I asked her for her name because I wanted to call to make an appointment. She pointed her finger 2 inches into my face, yelling with anger because I entered the store without making an appointment. I just wanted to see the store and get a phone number and name to make an appointment. She did not want to give that information either. After being accused of illiteracy and accused of not being a serious buyer because I had a small child I will NOT make an appointment.

I found a dress that I liked in a magazine. I clicked the "Find a Store" locator and it directed me to Aventura Bridal in the Seminole Town Center Mall. My future mother-in-law and I went to the store to look around. Everything was in disarray, nothing was organized and nothing was sorted by size or color. Digging through the mess, I found the dress that I was looking for. I walked to the front desk and asked if I could try it on. She rudely asked me when my wedding is. I told her early 2012. She then said that it would cost me $50.00 to try on a dress. I couldnt believe it. She explained that she doesnt "want people coming in to try on dresses without buying them". I told her that I would never buy a dress from her store if I couldnt try them on. She just shrugged her shoulders and moved on to something else. I will NEVER go back to Aventura Bridal.

At first I was hesitant - I had grand dreams about buying my wedding dress in a beautiful botique bridal salon, not from the mall. However, walking into Nellys salon was the best decision I made! She is so wonderful and supportive. I found the most perfect dress and she helped me make it a beautiful day. One year later, I am still so happy that I found Nelly. I was never asked to pay for a bridal appointment - I dont believe that at all. Secondly, alterations are included on dresses over a certain price range which was fantastic - because my sisters wedding dress was much more expensive and her alterations were over $700. My mom owns several sewing businesses (she hates alterations though) and my grandmaw owned a well respected alterations business. They were both impressed by her work. I hope this review helps someone.
