I just visited Harbor freight of Winter Garden December 04, 2014 (8:35 p.m. ET). Two people ahead of me was my neighbor who was being helped by the cashier Mr. Ontoniel. My neighbor is a very respectful and honorable person in my community. The cashier (Mr. Ontoniel) completed the transaction and explained or gave some details to my neighbor in regards to his purchase. After my neighbor left, the cashier Ontoniel started making comments about my neighbor to another harbor freight employee (short dark skin person) in front of everybody. He said that my neighbor was trying to play him and they were both speaking out of line. I know my neighbor for over 15+ years and I know that he would never take advantage or try to play nobody like Mr. Ontoniel was talking about. He might have been confused about the store policies but he has always been a person to follow the rules. It was so embarrassing for me to listen to all the nonsense spoken between Mr. Ontoniel and the other employee. It was so unprofessional that I will not recommend anybody to visit the Harbor Freight Winter Garden Store if Mr. Ontoniel is who they have in customer service. Apparently, it is the modus operandi of a couple of employees in that store including the Manager (Jenny). Just read the reviews posted on Google. If this is an ethical company they will take the opportunity to retrain the employees of the Winter Garden Store (especially Mr. Ontoniel) before the bad reviews start flooding the internet.

I made my selection at the winter garden store. I walked to the front of the store to make my purchase. When i got there I stepped in line, at the third cash register, and was quickly informed I needed to wait in the long line at the center register and wait to be called by one of the cashiers who would call out next in line. Im guess Im an old fashion kind of guy as in when Im ready to check out I choose the line that Ill wait in. I feel its up to the shoppers to sort themselves out when its time to make their purchase. At first their system seems to be good. In reality it only benefits the cashiers who can finish with the customer they have and simply walk away whenever they choose. Can you guess what happened as soon as it was my turn to hear the magic word, next? Yes you guessed correctly. One of the cashiers decided to take their break, or what ever he decided to take, and simply walked away leaving the ever growing line of shoppers. I can only guess that the gentleman who walked away was a member of management as Im sure that a cashier would probably be made to go straight back to their cash register and be reprimanded. I dont know who made the change to a well loved system of checking out of choose your own line, but Id guess its the manager who likes his freedom from customers whenever he/she thinks theyve had enough.

Staff seemed nice, but dont buy anything with a moving part. i have had to replace all those things after a few uses. This store is for buying things like sandpaper, work gloves, maybe a screwdriver at great prices, thats it.

Jenny, store manager is very unhelpful and very disrespectful. rolled her eyes several occasions while I and other customers asked simple questions. wont be coming back. includes family and freinds.

It has a weird smell to it and the check out lines are always uber slow. Yes you can get some things on the cheap or free, but its not always worth it. People are nice though.

I love shopping at harbor freight, everything is super cheap for great quality, and the employees are extremely helpful. Whenever I need a tool, Im going straight there

Great prices if you are looking for cheap. The basic hand tools and garden tools are useable. Power tools not so much. Kinda chincy.

Be prepared to queue.....went in at lunchtime only one cashier, other staff just aimlessly wandering around...not a care
