The sales team is great. The service team...well not so much. The first time I brought my car in for service, I left with a check engine light on. I had to turn around on route 19 and head back. They kept the car for an additional day and when I picked it up the next day, bang, check engine light comes on AGAIN. I went back demanding an explanation as my car only had 10,000 miles at the time. Then I was told that a newer tech was working on the car and must have forgotten to reset the service light. Great. My second and LAST experience with Ferman Volvos service came when I set up an appointment to have my car picked up at work. I received a confirmation call the day before for the car to be picked up between 7 and 8. I arrive at work at 6:45 (mind you, I dont start working until 8) to be sure I am here for the pickup. They never show. I then call the service department to find out when the car will be picked up. the service person (female) very snippily said they didnt have me on the schedule for a pickup and that I just need to drop the car off for service. I asked to speak to a manager and she refused stating he was out of town. I asked for a callback from the GM to discuss this and never received a call back. She then hung up on me. I will never go back there.

After a very negative experience at the Clearwater Volvo dealership, I was totally over car shopping. I saw Ferman had a few XC90s with the packages and color combinations I was looking for, so I (hesitantly) made the trek up from South Tampa on SuperBowl Sunday. Alan helped us and showed us the cars we had come to see. Once we decided on the car we wanted, we had to wait until Monday to finalize the financial details as Chris the manager was out of the office and we had some unique questions/requests. This is an honest dealership - they were completely transparent and did not hide fees or upcharges. We hammered out the details with Chris on Monday morning and I took delivery of the car on Tuesday (they sent a driver to pick me up so I wouldnt be stuck with two cars up there). The paperwork process was relatively seamless (Chris wasnt there, which was difficult because he knew the number details we had worked out, but Jay at Chevy was very helpful on the financial side and it all worked out). I was in and out in 1.5 hours, including the time Alan took to explain the features on the car to me (he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful). Many positive things to say about this dealership - I would not hesitate to return.

We have a Volvo XC70 which we purchased new at Ferman Volvo. I can only say that the service department is draging this dealership down. We have had problems getting in touch with anyone in the service department. You call and can only get voice mail and we have gone weeks and several messages without a call back. We are now the second time around with a simple oil change on a vehicle with 17,000 miles on it and the oil light is coming on because the oil level is low. Let me be clear this is the second time this has happened and I can only believe they are not putting the proper amount of oil in the car when the oil is changed. What good is the free maintenance offered by Volvo if the dealer cant or wont perform. I have previously written to Fermans corporate office and received a "sorry your having a problem we will check into it" and never anything more. Now its time to let everyone know what to expect from the service department at Ferman Volvo.

My wife had an volvo xc90 i taken an appointment for oil change. On that day i am 60 miles away and too much traffic,unfortunately I cant make in time. I called them and told the situation which I cant make on time maybe 30 to45 behind the schedule. The guy who answered me said no problem at all in a kind and professional way. But unfortunately when i reach its a different story the supervisor/service manager telling that I failed to come on appointment time so i had take an another appointment.,, I asked him shown my mobile phone called time explaining him that I called and someone who answered the call say no problem.he simply ignored me and told me they are not having any email from their call center saying that i am coming late. Our experience was wonderful. Our rep, Steven, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Once we found the vehicle we liked, Chevy Cruze, Steve and Jay worked together to help us close the deal. Were pretty tough customers, Im a Brooklyn-born, New York Italian with everything that implies - but they worked hard to make us happy. The icing on the cake was closing the deal with Eliot. Usually paperwork is the worst part, but Eliot rocked our world. He was funny and upbeat, explained everything and just made the entire experience such a joy. Associates were personal, professional, and pleasant. All concerns were resolved to my satisfaction. An additional issue which could have develop into a problem was brought to my attention and fixed immediately. Dealership is very accommodating when scheduling appointments. A telephone reminder a couple of days before the appointment was also appreciated. I have purchased many vehicles from other dealerships over the years. Ferman Volvo service dept isnt about service!! I called twice, 1st time at 9 am and was told a service tech would have to return my call. Called again at 3 pm couldnt get a live person on the phone. So I left a voice message requesting a service tech to return my call... I just called for the third time in 31 hrs asked for the service manager.. LOL got his voice mail. There is no way I will do business here.. I guess they forgot there is another Volvo Dealer in Clearwater.. See ya..

I recently visited Ferman Volvo. The staff at this dealership was very professional and courteous. During my search for a vehicle, I had to visit and talk to several agents at different dealerships. None were as supportive and kind as the staff I met at Ferman Volvo. They took their time in showing us all the different functions on the car we purchased. Explain all the paper work thoroughly. We are a family of very satisfied customers. Thank for an excellent job!
