Update: The solution offered by Daniel (manager) was $190 to replace the cost of the zip tied shift cable part. Just the part mind you, forget about that pesky labor charge to put it on. Our grand total including the tow on Mothers Day ended up being $1600, so I cant say this really turned out in our favor Original review: Please avoid this location at all costs. Not family friendly at all. We went in here on May 6th (my husband, two year old daughter, myself, and my father) to test drive a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette. The van drove well, had been well kept, and had about 90,000 miles on it. I am currently seven months pregnant, and we decided we needed something larger than our hatchbacks for trips, and to accommodate our growing family. We decided to purchase the van, but couldnt pick it up until the 12th as they were installing a new drivers side rear view mirror, and also re attaching the rear view on the inside. When my husband picked up the van, the inside mirror was still unattached and on the seat. Apparently, nobody could figure out how to use a four dollar tube of epoxy. He decided to let that go, so that we wouldnt have to wait any longer, and we used epoxy to attach the mirror ourselves- no problem. You can imagine how distressing it is to have a newly purchased vehicle break down less than 24 hours after picking it up. Thats exactly what happened. These utter asshats used a zip tie to rig the shift cable together, so that it would last long enough for test drives, and drive seemingly ok. We planned on taking it in for a tune up, and a once over on Monday, but instead of that, we were stranded for hours in ninety degree heat with me seven months pregnant and my two year old daughter along. This is a dealership. They own at least one computer scanner, and in fact, the van had definitely been recently scanned as the connector piece was hanging out under the dash. You know theyve got mechanics working for them that are aware of the conditions of their vehicles. We were knowingly sold a van with the following issues (just to name a few): bad battery, bad shift cable (thanks for the zip ties- that was thoughtful), plenum gaskets totally shot, and bad hub bearings on the front, etc. So far the tally is up to$1400, and we have a great mechanic that is honest and fair. We have owned four other used cars purchased from dealers, and never once had a terrible experience like this. Id have been happy to work with them over the existing issues with the van had the problems been laid out up front. As it stands, we were clearly swindled. In short, if a dealership is comfortable selling an extremely pregnant woman with her two year old daughter along a van that is going to break down within days, I cant imagine that there are many honest transactions occurring here. I only wish I had thought to check reviews online for dealerships. Its clear by the scores of phony five star reviews on yelp for this place that there isnt an honest soul running the place. Keep that in mind when looking at these reviews. Yelp screens reviews to remove the phony ones, google does not. There are over one hundred reviews that have been filtered out on Yelp, so its highly likely that there are at least that many on google that are false.

I was interested in a car that was advertised on their website. I called about it one day and talked to Dean. I called back the very next day and talked to Dean again to verify the car was still available and inquired if the car actually looked as good in person as it did in the posted pictures. He said it did and invited me to come take it for a test drive. I told him we were in Wesley Chapel and it would take my wife and I at least an hour to get there as we would be leaving within the next few minutes. Grabbed my checkbook and the tag we would be transferring and headed to New Port Richey. When we arrived to take a look at the car Dean was on the phone talking with what we could tell was a very unhappy customer. During this time we found out from the sales manager they had sold the car we were interested in the previous week. When Dean got off the phone, I told him my wife and I were the ones that called a little over an hour ago from Wesley Chapel about the Mercury Sable. He greeted us and proceeded to lead us outside when the sales manager informed him the car we had drove all this way to see was not on the lot as it had been sold last week. This means both days I called to inquire about the car, and was assured both times by Dean they still had it on the lot, it had actually been sold and was long gone. All we got for our trouble was a feeble apology. Bait and Switch or just a case of lazy unprofessionalism? Either way, I would not recommend buying a car from these people. A good salesman, knowing we were making a two hour round trip to see the car, would have verified the car we called on twice in two days was actually on the lot before inviting us to come take it for a test drive. A good sales manager knowing the inconvenience we endured was 100% their fault, and 100% avoidable if Dean the salesman had simply got up from his desk and walked outside to make sure they still had the car either of the two times I called...could have offered us a token gift card to compensate us for our gas and time. Instead we got nothing more than a shrug of the shoulders, and told "sorry". We were not made to feel their apology was sincere. It seemed to me it be mundane and quite routine. Before posting this review, I checked to see if the car still appears for sale on their website, and it is. If the car was sold last week...it shows they make no effort to keep their website current. If they did, then I would not have called about a car that had been sold and would not have been told they still had it and I would not have had my time wasted by a car lot that could care less about inconveniencing their customers.

I bought a 2008 Dodge nitro from the new port richey Florida location! My salesman was Dean.. I thought at the time of purchase he was a good salesman. It was kind of chilly outside so when I test drove it he says roll the windows down and let the fresh air blow in. He turned air on it was blowing cold because of temp outside but I didnt notice it at the time. . So then after i signed all paperwork I get in the car to leave and notice the AC isnt blowing cold so they take it to the back put freon in and tell me to drive it home and if theirs a problem to bring it back. Well needless to say I took it back 2 times the first week I had it and all they did was bang on the AC clutch with a hammer to make it work and told me I would have to purchase the part and pay their mechanic to fix it... The sad part about it i already owned a 2003 Chevy avalanche the only reason I wanted a new car was because the AC quit working in my truck and my daughter had just had me a new granddaughter and its a 2 hour drive to pick her up so I needed AC for the baby! The guy dean is very crooked salesman he told me to park my truck in this lot so I could pick it up the next day and while I did it he would put my contract and everything in the glove box. Well needless to say I have never received one piece of paper saying what I paid for this stuff or anything... And another he told me the first day $300 down then the next day when I went back to get it he said he sold the car i wanted and the only one they had was this one and i have to give $500 so I said okay! Well the scam then was when the finance company calls i need you to tell them you gave $1600 down and I need you to write me the checks and dont put a date for deposit.. We wont deposit them its just to show the finance company! Needless to say they deposited and got the first payment out my bank!! Ive had so many problems with this vehicle ive put more money into it in 1 year than its worth! Now I was told by a certified mechanic yesterday the rear end is falling out and it needs barrings in the back! And I was told to make sure to get a carfax report because this car has been in a flood! All the bolts and everything under the vehicle are rusted so bad you probably couldnt even get the rear end out! I think im going to go to a different location and see if they treat their customers any better ! I will update on how the finance company and carlot act about this situation because im a disabled parent of 4 kids and a granddaughter 2 of my girls are in college
