7/2/2015 - 10pm My experience at this particular Walmart was horrid, any other time It would be OK. But tonight it was very very unpleasant. First they cut off a section so customers were no longer able to enter in that area which was annoying some customers as I over heard their little chimes. A lot of the employees sat around doing nothing I mean just being an onlooker. Buggys were non existence several customers were left trying to juggle multiple items and clearly shown they were annoyed. I over heard one cashier tell a man he could not take the basket outside and he explain he could not find a buggy, she did try and find him one, another employee had a empty one and when she explain the man needed a buggy he got mad. The right respond should have been yes customer here you go. Seems buggy person was out for that day but at least one employee could have taken up the mantle and rounded up a few buggys from the parking lot but they have to be semi competent to have that cross their mind. Like always only one line was open and all the self checkouts down. there could not have been a manager on scene cause no manger who is worth their salt would let customer have that horrid frustrating experience. I can not fault the whole store, just the people who seems to work that particular shift, Im guessing the night shift. Because during the day the atmosphere is wonderful This store needs to cut some of the dead weight from night-shift or find someone who will whip them into shape no mercy. Just because its night doesnt mean the quality control should go down.

I live across the street and when they first opened I went there since it is a 5 minute walk. Then, the personnel was generally rude, sloppy and didnt seem to care. The produce section was a disaster and looked like it was the rejects from other stores. However, I wrot two letters about the situation and received two calls about the conditions and that when opening a new store it takes time to balance things out and they were really working at it. About a month later I went, and the produce was now good produce and they must now constantly weed out the poorer items ... Yeas! for you. The peronnel is now so helpful and pleasant and even sometimies funny. They have really worked to ungrade themselves and keep the prices, without question, the lowest in tows. It is not a palace of a store for they try to save the consumer some money by not putting up all sorts of pretty little signs and knick-knacks ... just give us good item, good quality and good prices. So, If you are interested in "pretty" stores go to one of your fancy, upscale stores and pay triple price for a head of lettuce or go To walmart which is clean and neat and pay 1/3 the price! Thanks Walmart Neighborhood for moving across the street from upscale Post Hyde Park, Tampa and down the block from Tampa University (get who many of the customers are?)

Every time Ive had too many purchases to do self checkout the cashier has always been courteous & efficient. The people on the floor for the most part say hello or offer assistance (some are much better than others). If I have a question, they stop what theyre doing & walk me directly to the product without patronizing me. Ive seen a woman (Rhonda /Ronda) who literally runs back and forth from the customer service desk. The store is clean, has many good deals. Yes there can be a wait sometimes but its hit and miss. Normally you can attribute this to a difficult customer who isnt prepared or is trying to get a substitution, special exceptions, cant find their wallet, etc. there are many times they will call another cashier to assist. The self-checkout process is very efficient and between the quiet of the store, lack of crazy from the main supercenters, and availability of staff, this store is a winner for me. * the produce has increased in quality tremendously! Ive been purchasing everything from you vs making a 2nd trip to Publix whose prices are rising as quality decreases as well as the selection. Another kudos regarding that! Keep it up yall & Ill keep driving from Tampa Palms for you.

Unlike my recent post of the positive changes Winn Dixie made nearby, this location doesnt seem to get it. This is a grocery (market) Walmart not one of the megastores we became used to. I am a late night owl, and this location was open 24 hours until last month. Now they close around midnight until 6am - which is when I loved to shop. I, myself do not appeal to long grocery lines, traffic & parking nuances, so this store earned my business mainly for their late hours. When Publix, Fresh Market, and Winn Dixie are open, Walmart Neighborhood Market finishes last on my list. Service is the key factor here. Their aisles are often cluttered with inventory boxes and crates. The racks are never organized like you see at these other grocers. WalMarts Everyday Low Prices are that, but when Publix or WD have their BOGO, the big W falls way behind the pack on this too. Publix is opening a new state of the art grocery plus (as I call it) in downtown redevelopments, unless Walmart reacts I dont see this location surviving with a new competitor so close.

Never left a review for anything before but my experience was so unpleasant, I find myself here. I showed up at 10:48p.m. to pick up coffee creamer. The entrance was locked. The exit was locked and manned by a woman holding the keys. I tapped on the window and asked if I could come in, she said: "No, we closed." When I mentioned that they were open for another 12 minutes, dont close till 11:00p.m. and asked if I could come in, she shrugged and informed me that it doesnt matter what time the sign says, she says theyre closed and she needs to go home. I dont expect the post to change anything, but figured Id at least make people aware that, at least in my experience, their employees dont give a damn about the stated hours so dont waste your time if youre in a pinch and trying to grab something at night.

I found this place hidden behind a KFC/Taco Bell last year off Kennedy and Rome and have been telling all my friends in South Tampa about it! You wont get a lot of the typical rift-raft you see at the ghetto Wal-Marts of Tampa here. Most shoppers here are UT Students and South Tampa people! You always see Infinitis, Mercedes, and BMWs parked outside, so you dont have to worry about getting your car scratched at this location! Located at a former Publix store, This Wal-mart Neighborhood Market only carries groceries, prescriptions, and household products unlike other Wal-marts and might not be cheaper than a Super Wal-mart on everything but they do have a liquor store with great prices and a convenient rift-raft free location!!!

The worst Walmart I have ever visited. I had purchased some produce and deli food that was outdated and wanted to do a return. No One was available to help quickly at customer service because the lines were to long. Their were no cashiers available for all the customers who expect to get in and out. When I asked a cashier to speak to a manager she said Erica is here but believe me she is no help at all. When I finally found Erica she was in the liquor department just standing there watching the customers. Bizarre!!
