Do not come here unless you want to be scammed. Not only did my salesman Mike try to bait and switch me which caused me financial loss, Mike also lied about my monthly payments saying they are $258 when actually it is $233 when I checked in calculator in using tax, to top it off the customer service is the worst. I saw a great car advertised, was told it was still available. I told the salesperson I want to buy it. He assured me it was mine. I gave my drivers license, put the car on my insurance, emailed my proof of insurance, and I was told by Mike I need to be physically at the dealership to sign paperwork cause documents had to be original. I am flying in from CA. He gave me the go ahead to fly over and even offered to pick me up from the bus station. ( I told him Im flying to Orlando and taking bus to Tampa Nov 10). I urged him I want to pay and sign before I came down and didnt understand why he wanted me to pay by money order near dealership up rather than debit card online. He then told me he is fedex the paperwork. I am waiting for FedEx when I find out my car has been sold to someone else. He tells me " I have another car exactly the same with the exact same price....with a front end accident report." I called the manger and told them I do not believe they had the original advertised car in the first place. The manager refused to admit bait and switch tactic is wrong and refused to provide proof of originally advertised vehicle sold at advertised price.

I recently bought a vehicle from Hertz and the experience couldnt have been more pleasant, low stress, and rewarding. When I walked into the dealership a half hour before closing time (and upset from a disappointing experience at another dealership just an hour earlier) I was apprehensive to say the least. But JIM WEST went out of his way to treat me like a valued customer before I actually was one. I sat in multiple cars, asked a million questions, and test drove my vehicle of choice all without issue or even a sigh of irritation from Jim, regardless of the fact that we were at the dealership well past closing time. He was honest and upfront about absolutely everything, from the types of cars I looked at to the way Hertz does business, and that type of genuine discourse is hard to come by (especially when it comes to purchasing big ticket items like cars and homes). Jim took care of me as thought I was a part of the family and thats definitely something Im never going to forget. Thank you Hertz for my lovely car and thank you, thank you, thank you Jim West for being absolutely amazing in every way!

BUYER BEWARE I will never purchase a vehicle from this Hertz ever again. I should have known better. Their cars are packed tightly together, bumpers touching bumpers. I purchased a used 2015 Ford Focus with 38k miles. They wouldnt give me a gas card, so I had to leave the lot with my car on empty, and rush to find a gas station. For two weeks, after my purchase, they called me multiple times to "check" in on me and ask me if I know anyone who needs to buy a car. The third week of owning my car, my check engine light turned on. When I called the Hertz salesman who sold the car to me, he acted like he had no idea who I was. He told me I couldnt bring the car to the dealership, and to take it to a Ford dealership. Im at the mechanics, with a broken purge valve. $250! My bogus warranty that Hertz told me I just had to purchase doesnt even cover this repair.

BEWARE HERTZ WILL STEAL, CHEAT, LIE , AND DECEIVE YOU. Hertz sold me a "certified" car and ever since Ive gotten this car its been nothing but problems. Its a 2015 Nissan Sentra so it shouldnt be needing a bunch of maintenance(especially when they guarantee its 100% repaired) . When we got it the AC wasnt blowing cold. Mike assured us their auto company would fix it and hertz would cover the costs. Both of those statements were lies the company didnt fix it and they were very rude. And when we went to a new company and found out the ac compressor was completely busted all of the sudden hertz quit answering our phone calls. Since then weve had to replace the AC compressor, the battery, the oil, fix the locks on the door and now the check engine light has been on for 3 days now. 10/10 would not recommend hertz Mike and his manager are liars and cheats.

This was the first time buying a car through a dealership. I was expecting it to be a drag and was expecting to feel uncomfortable and pressured every step of the way. The experience at Hertz was totally different and not what I was expecting at all. I can only say this, Jim West was awesome! I actually felt welcome at the dealership and was not pressured the slightest bit throughout the entire process. He is the "anti-salesman". You almost feel like hes a friend of yours that happens to have a car youre interested in buying. The finance guy was also very friendly and made the paperwork process very easy, I just dont remember his name but also friendly. Keep up the good work guys!

Thought after spending 2 hours setting up financing on a vehicle here on Saturday evening that coming back Monday to sign the paperwork would be a formaility. I understand that they dont hold cars, but if that was the case why didnt we seal the deal on Saturday? Instead I get a call this Monday on the way there that the car may have been sold to another party. I show up and that is what happened. No thanks to the alternative vehicle they tried to sell me today. Waste of my time and gas money. The prices are good but if you are not a cash buyer not worth the headache.

I usually dont post reviews, but I just bought a car from this lot yesterday and it was the best experience Ive ever had at a car dealership. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful! I filled my credit application out online and was approved after 2 days. I dont have a lot of credit history so have a very low credit score and they were able to get me approved through a bank with a reasonable interest rate. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Ill definitely be going back for our next car purchase!

Ask for Jim West! - This is the second car we have bought from Jim in 2 months. Fantastic experience all around. You never feel like you are dealing with a typical car salesperson. Jim is professional and he goes above and beyond to make you happy. The prices on the cars are very very good as well. No haggle so that makes things much less stressful as well. We purchased a 2013 Fiat 500 and a 2014 Camry SE. We highly recommend going to Hertz Car Sales Tampa and DEFINITELY make sure you ask for Jim!

Because this dealership is so good the cars do not stay available for long. So I gave my parameters to Jim West and he found exactly what I wanted and then called me. I made arrangements and drove 6 hours to Tampa and am very glad I did. He and his team were wonderful to work with. I had some complications on my end and they found ways to resolve them all and quickly. I would (and have already) highly recommend Jim West and the team at Hertz Car Sales Tampa.
