Honestly Im really struggling with this review. I wrote my experience and posted it earlier today. The review did not reflect well on the dealership, who already has a lot of great reviews. It was because of those great reviews that I felt good about buying from this dealership despite growing up with a dad that didnt like buying cars from dealerships. After reading my bad review, the dealership called to try and make things right. Awesome! I really appreciate that, but I dont like the expectation that I need to change my rating to be great for that reason. My experience still happened. Maybe this doesnt happen very often, maybe it does; I have no way of knowing. Do other people have similar experiences and take off their bad reviews? Or modify them? Kind of defeats the purpose of reviews. So here is my original review in a nutshell: I found a van on craigslist for $6,495. The next day the price was $6995. We had decided to buy the van before we knew that the price had been jacked back up. They said it needed to be painted and that cost $500 which is why the price was higher. It felt like a bait and switch, although they told me it wasnt. We decided not to get the van, but the dealership negotiated to cover $250 of the cost of the paint job. I have been so upset by the whole exchange (the nutshell version does not convey my true frustration) which is why I wrote my original review like I did. I have modified my review to reflect that they tried to make things right. After reading my review, the dealership generously offered to cover all the cost for the paint job or let us return the van. Our experience has not been great, so we took them up on the offer and returned the van.

I like the vehicle we purchased. I liked and appreciated Sam, our salesman. But the owner was on vacation and left his silver spoon fed, wet behind the ears, egotistical BRAT of a son in charge! Big mistake! He has ABSOLUTELY NO customer service skills! Doubt I will ever do business with this "dealership", for a lack of a better term, again. But if I do, the Brat needs to get back into his pack and play and take a nap with his favorite "blankie"! No more tantrums "little one"! The saga continues after the purchase! After talking us into a "bumper to bumper warranty" , the check engine light came on about 10 miles away from the dealership on the way home. ***Explains more about why the battery was dead sitting on the lot*** ;-) Anyway, turns out the 4x4 needs an expensive service/repair. I was surely glad we bought that warranty! ;-) Well guess what? That "bumper to bumper warranty does not cover the 4x4 issue, which I am pretty sure is somewhere between the back and the front bumper! ;-) I hope these "theives" rests well at night, because they sure have a lot of explaining to do when they arrive/if they arrive at those pearly gates!!

About a year ago, I purchased a 2000 Lexus from John Baldwin with an extended warranty. I had a couple problems with the car and have taken it in to be evaluated. Mr. Baldwin has been very up front and honest in regards to the known and unknown about the vehicle. A couple weeks ago I took it in for him to evaluate and see what is covered by warranty and what I would need to cover. The car made a noise no one could figure out. He and his team evaluated the car, gave me the "good and bad news" and he was very instrumental in getting the warranty company to take care of about 2/3 o of the cost. He found an additional problem that could have caused me to break down and took care of this as well. I am very pleased with the service I have received from Mr. Baldwin and his wife (who is the sweetest person ever) and would highly recommend anyone to purchase an automobile from him, or use him for service. Being a female, I have had folks be dishonest to me regarding repairs. I so appreciate Baldwin, their help and especially the honesty. Special thanks to Baldwin!

I wouldnt buy anywhere else.. Ive read the other reviews and I dont know what the negative people are talking about.. Maybe there is another Baldwin Automotive but the one I went to was the best car buying experience Ive had.. I traded a Chevy truck for a Toyota truck and couldnt have been happier with the result.. I got a more than fair price and everyone was so easy to deal with.. Very low pressure in the sales office was a huge plus.. I hate driving on to a car lot and having 10 people run up and try to sell me something that I dont need or want.. I have had the truck in the shop there once and was very happy with the repair and impressed with the shop staff.. The lot was very organized, clean and well put together.. A really nice/diverse selection of cars and they had the price of everything hanging from the mirror.. I have seen some shady car dealerships, but this one didnt have any of those shady tell tell signs.. Hate the negative that others faced, but Ive had nothing but positive on my end..

Purchased a car from this so called "dealership" on Sept. 8th and less than 24 hours later the head gasket blows on the car... came up to confront the owner about their "lemon" and the owner gets up in my face screaming and cussing along with in my buddies face also. These people are real con artists. They claimed I received the vehicle as a wholesale but if its wholesale why did I have to pay tax+tag+fees at the dealership. I really do believe these people are high on more than life just the way the owner was bouncing around... Its sad how their mechanic is more professional than the actual owner because he thinks his name means something. Baldwin just means they do the minimum to get it off the lot and let the buyer fix it. LEMONS!

I was simply cheated by this dealer; Ive read about the staff being rude but didnt believe until I saw it. The one so called Sam was playing the good guy whom I trusted and he sold me a car for $7600 and was repeating it is one of the greatest deals Ive ever worked on for a customer; you are so lucky. Once I got the car, it was in need for a major maintenance that cost me $800 and had to leave the country after 3 months later for work. Imagine the great deal dropped to $5000 when I tried to sell it back to them in a better condition and only additional 2000miles and Mr. Sam was saying it loudly “it is business”. Will never forgive them as they mistreated me and hurt me deeply

We have been taking our vehicles to Baldwins ever since they moved into their present location. We have always had excellent service. We just bought our second car from them. They made the process so easy for us. I dont know why there are negative comments about them other than the fact that those negative people just arent happy people to begin with. I would recommed anyone to go to Baldwin Automotive llc. They have been great help to us and our family. They treat us like family and thats why we keep going back. Whether it is for an oil change, heater coil, or even a wrecked truck, we get nothing but the BEST CARE and SERVICE every time we are there.
