NEVER BUY FROM BEST BUY!!! THIS IS WHY...I went to this store after buying 2 galaxy phones from the mobile store in the Sanford mall. The Galaxy S8+ that I purchased was defective. The mobile store wasnt able to assist me so they sent me to the Box store. I met a very rude employee in the mobile department. I informed him that my phone was defective and I have about 2:00 hours to solve the problem because I have to give my kids at 5pm. I also informed him that the problem needed to be solved today because I go out of the country tomorrow for 5 days and that would put me out of the 14 day window. He told me that there was nobody in the store that was able to prove my phone was defective so therefore if I wanted to exchange it there Would-be a $35 charge. I felt this was unacceptable and requested a manager. I was told the manager was on break and if I would like I could wait. So I waited and waited and Waited. After being in the store for about an hour and 45 minutes the manager appears he informs me that theres of $35 charge no exceptions. Even if its defective you have to pay to exchange it. His responce was its not defective until we say it is and no one is here to say its defective. Since this took 2 hrs, I was forced to leave the store to get my kids. When I return to the country I went into an AT&T store, they deemed my phone defective within 20 minutes of me entering the building. They told me if I purchased the phone from AT&T they would have warranted it out today. But since I purchased it from Best Buy I had to return it to Best Buy. I returned to the Sanford Best Buy met with the same rude employee and after 2 hours of dealing with not only Best Buy but the Samsung rep. They had the store manager inform me that I was sold a defective device. Since I was out of my 14 day window I now had to deal with Samsung to get a new phone Even though I was in their store within the 14 days and their employees didnt do their due-diligence to assist me with proving my phone was defective. They simply handed me, my defective device and showed me the door. I even had to stop and ask what was the phone number for the customer-service of Samsung. So I called Samsung they related that if I wanted to warranty out my phone I would have to go without a device for 11 days. I went to the AT&T store they simply replied after hearing everything that I went through the last 3 hours. Not to an AT&T customer they Retested my device to find a defective again filled out all of the warranty stuff thats requires by Samsung. The new phone was at my house within 3 days.

The Store Manager" Scott "and the clerk "Kelly" are Rude and mean and work nights.. Stay far away from this store , as for the Geek Squad they are great but there hands are tied with Assholes like Scott and Kelly who work for Best Buy , not Geek Squad. The extra protection plan I purchased for for the 2015 Vizio sound-bar was worthless according to Best Buy Manager Scott, he wanted to send it out for repair 3-4 weeks and I just purchased it 4 months ago. This Manager argued with me for 30 minutes in the store, after I spent 1 hour on the phone with Vizio and Best Buy Corp. during the day and they directed me right back to the store for an even exchange or refund because of it being discontinued and the 2016 Model is out. A 2016 Model is out on this sound bar and 2015 was discontinued , the one I returned. After all the arguing and yelling , provoked by Kelly and Scotts attitude , Geek Squad issued me a full refund and Kelly and Scott disappeared in the store. What makes a Manager feel he owns the store? Got my money and went to another Best Buy in Altamonte Springs where I normally shop and got a new one. Thats all I wanted was an even exchange. I love the sound bar and the 2016 Model is so much better Model# SB3851-DO . I always buy extra protection plans and Best Buy has always been my Electronic store but now I have to evaluate reviews on Amazon and Yelp and possibly think twice before buying from them again. Went there today and was going to buy a vinyl album. Went to the cash registers in the front of the store and was told that the store no longer uses them and all purchases have to be made at the customer service counter. I asked was this just for today or a permanent new policy. I was informed thats the new store policy. I walked over to the customer service desk and waited in line. The same line with people returning items, having other issues, complaints ect that take a lot more time then the 30 seconds or so it takes to pay for an item at a register. After 5 minutes of waiting on a line, where it was 8 or ten people deep, and not moving an inch I gave up and walked away. Who in the world is going to wait such a long time to pay for an under $20 item? Whoever the person who came up with this idea is a fool. I will not be shopping there again.

Very Upsetting!! Please do not buy a computer here unless you are absolutely sure you will not return it. I have purchased tons of electronics and computers from best buy. !st off they charge a 10 or 15% restocking fee if you even open the box (this happened 6 months ago). More recently I purchased a computer and informed the sales person that I was not sure if I would keep the computer because it was for my business and my older program might bot be compatible with this laptop. He sold me on the best but restore discs for an extra almost $100. The next day at the return counter I am informed that I cannot get the $100 back from the discs they are non-refundable! I am furious!!! Also whenever Im in there I am never offered help Not once! I will be buying my electronics elsewhere from now on!!

Terrible customer service at the mobile department! My wife and I wanted to get the new Samsung s6, even called beforehand to see if it was still available. When we got to the store, the department supervisor, Donny, said he was only doing business for appointments only, even showed us his appointment book. When we noticed an appointment that didnt show up as scheduled and the current ones were finishing up, they still wouldnt help us out. That is over $500 that supervisor turned down, not to mention providing a terrible service and a bad attitude. Talked to Mike, the store manager, about the incident. He was nice and apologized about what happened and explained how the department was only doing appointments and could squeeze us in if available. We decided to leave and go to another store

Bought some speaker clips and when I home I noticed they didnt clip. This Galesburg while I was in the middle of moving so it took me just over two weeks to get a chance to return them. After waiting on line for an unreasonable amount of time I was told they only have a fifteen day return policy so there was nothing they could do. This is my second dealing with the best buy the first was when I tried to buy a stick of ram. It was a 2Gb Kingston stick that they wanted $215 for. I walk across the street to Walmart and got the exact same stick(same brand, size and clock size) for$15. Best buy is overpriced,staffed by people who have no idea what they are doingand my willing to stand behind their merchandise(15 day return policy is ridiculous). Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else.
