I was in the market for a new crossover/SUV. The Ford Escape was an actual after thought in my mind due the fact I have been a loyal Mazda customer of about 15 years and 3 vehicles. I wanted a Mazda CX-5 but when I went to the Mazda dealership, I was informed that my #1 must have item was not available on the trim level I wanted. This left me scrambling looking for another choice. I looked at Nissans Toyotas, Kias, VWs, Hyundais and Hondas. On a whim, I looked at the local Ford dealerships website and was blown away with the incentives and financing available. I did some research on the Ford Escape and came to find out that it was rated just behind the Mazda, so it became a no brainer to go with the Ford. My only problem was deciding which model to buy. I worked with Chad as my salesman. He showed me the base model which came with my #1 must have, but he also showed me the next level up, and I was blown away with the features that came standard and in the package. We worked up some numbers, and I told them I needed to sleep on it. Of course, they tried their best to keep me from leaving the lot without purchasing, but they also respected my position of needing to think about it. In the end, they benefited. If I was forced to make a decision then and there, I would have gone with the base model. However, by having time to look at the numbers without any pressure, I was able to come up with a reasonable counter-proposal. When I was confident of my position, I e-mailed Brad, the sales manager. He responded and accepted my offer. They also worked with me on expediting the delivery process to meet my busy schedule. They were very efficient with everything-- no hassle or wasting of my time. Of course the finance guy tried to upsell me on warranties and other non-essentials, but that is his job. They were so efficient that I even had time for Chad to go over the features in more detail than when I had been earlier. It was a great experience. It was not the torturous process that buying a car can be.

Great overall experience! I had done research on the vehicle that I wanted for my family before I went to the lot. I knew exactly what I wanted, what price I was comfortable paying after comparing the lot price with the KBB valued price, and what I wanted included. When I arrived to the lot it was simple to narrow down the 2 vehicles I had looked at online. They have all the vehicles arranged in accordance with their type, so locating the vehicles were fast and easy. I ultimately ended up choosing a black 2013 Ford Edge 2wd SE. The vehicle was very well taken care of, 1 owner, no accidents, beautiful interior. The thing that really concerned me is that Ive never bought a car from a car lot, so I was naturally scared of buying a lemon. However, the used vehicle section at Panama City Autonation Ford has a great selection of "CPO" (Certified Used) vehicles. The CPO really put me at ease because now I know Im covered just like if it were a new vehicle. My sales mans name was John Feller, he was easy to get along with, wasnt the pushy "now now now" type, he encouraged the test drive when I wanted to get some speed up, he let me go out on 231 to open it up. So I had started the negotiations and they ultimately ended up accepting my offer. The paperwork was paperwork, so it was long and boring but its required so no point in complaints on that. One thing I did enjoy is they were able to provide me with a brand new hard plate so I wouldnt have to go down to the DMV. Everything ended up going smoothly, and I now have a wonderful vehicle that Im excited with and comfortable putting my growing family in. I will return there when we buy our next truck.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the Panama City operation. Mike Wood is an outstanding representative of the Auto nation brand. He was polite, professional, and quickly and confidently answered all our questions. He grabbed up keys to 4 vehicles, to show us the differences between and 2014 and 2015 models, then let us test drive both the new 3.5L Eco-boost and the 5.0L trucks. Based on previous experience at other dealerships, we dreaded talking with sales reps, but Mike really restored our faith in car salesmen! He was direct, confident and delivered on everything he said. I wont hesitate to recommend him to any friends interested in purchasing a new vehicle. After the sale, Mike contacted us several times to see if we had any questions regarding the vehicle’s features and to ensure we were fully satisfied with it. I haven’t seen this level of customer commitment from any other dealer—ever! On the road, we were really impressed with the 3.5 Eco Boost engine—twice the power and much better fuel efficiency than our 4.6L V8—we got up to 24 MPG on trip to Gainesville. We brought the truck back in to have an integrated brake controller installed, and found the service department to also be outstanding. The service staff was polite, professional and very quick to check us in and out. The estimated 2 hr install was done in one. And for far lower cost than estimated. I summary, this experience far exceeded my expectations. I’ve never seen a more motivated team of professionals than at AutoNation Ford Panama City I will definitely buy my next vehicle there.

I recently purchased a used 2005 Chevy Duramax from AutoNation Ford in panama city, Within two weeks of owning the truck on the first trip I made with it I was left stranded 8 hours away in Tennessee, and rather than pay over 1000.00 for a tow truck I babied it all the way home and luckily made it and returned the truck to AutoNation to be fixed. Turns out a sensor in the transfer case went out, When I spoke with the sales manager about the repairs he was very rude and arrogant and was sure to remind me the truck was AS IS, but because I purchased a vehicle from the before and was a repeat customer he offered to fix the truck. I thought great they are doing the rite thing. so after them having my truck for a couple weeks I stopped by to check on it and it turned out they ordered the wrong transfer case from a junk yard to replace it so the junk yard was sending another. immediately I was pissed they were putting used parts in to fix it, now another week went by and I got it back went to leave and the front drive shafts fell loose as I was leaving, irritated a little more I let them fix it quickly and went on my way. shortly after all that I left for the navy and a family member drove it very couple weeks to keep it up for me I come home and now after owning it 6 months the I recently had to have the fuel injector harness changed out $$$$ because it went bad and now shortly after that my tranny and power steering are both shot. BEWARE OF THERE AS IS VEHICLES FOLKS GO ELSEWARE THEY ARE USED CAR CROOKS.
