Background: After having a string of bad luck with flat tires over a period of a couple of days I was at my wits end with fixing flats by myself. I took my tire to the original store where I purchased my Motobecane bicycle (i.e. NOT Winter Park Cycles) and felt as if I was annoying the guy who worked there (he wasnt rude, just seemed like he was annoyed - hard to put a finger on it). Anyway, since Winter Park Cycles had a "Wheel division" I figured I would give them a shot. I walked in with a simple request to fix my flat tire, and I was treated as if I was buying the most expensive bicycle they had. This in spite of the fact that had not originally purchased a bike (or anything else for that matter) from them. I was also telling them about my frustrations with the other bike shop but they never once said anything negative about their competition or attempted to capitalize on my hard feelings. They were true professionals. Daryl (along with the other mechanics) helped me determine the true cause of my flat and ensured that my tire was in good condition before proceeding with replacing the tube. They were hands on with me, showing me where the problem was as well as tips on replacing a tire (or tube). He recommended a different type of tire for the *next time* I was ready to purchase a new tire. He didnt try to force a sale on me. Again... true professional. Being a new road cyclist, and someone who is really starting to get into it, I had a slew of questions about cycling from fitting, to nutrition, to bike components and frames. Daryl (as well as the others that were in the store) were extremely patient with me and answered all my questions from the vantage point of experienced and passionate cyclists. I truly felt like they had my personal best interests at heart. Like I said... true professionals. With a simple flat tire repair, they went above an beyond with me and have earned a future customer. When Im ready to upgrade my wheels, pedals, or even my entire bike, Winter Park Cycles will be the place I go. Period.

I just brought my bike into this shop, prepared for the pretentious atmosphere and personnel that seems to accompany bike shops in the area. I was relieved that even though I know nothing about bikes except that mine fits my 51 self and it works well for riding to my neighborhood Publix and bar.... I was welcomed by friendly guys and Joey took my bike back to surgery as soon as I got through the door with it. He fixed it up in about 15 minutes... (apparently the gears were off the track or something of that nature) and he didnt charge me a dime and helped me carry my bike to my car. If I ever need some more serious work done on my bike in the future or need to purchase a new bike I am happy to know I have a great place to go to where I can get real advice and service. Cheers.

I never write reviews, but this time I must. I just left Winter Park Cycles, and I have to say Im blown away by the service there. I dropped in to have my daughters bicycle tube changed. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. I was introduced to the service tech, Joey. Joey took great care of us. No upsales, no pressure. I left Winter Park Cycles feeling like I was in my home town having bike repairs done, not like I was visiting the "big city" and being taken advantage of. It feels reassuring to know while my daughter attends college, she has this shop nearby to take such wonderful care of her bike needs. I highly recommend Winter Park Cycles!

My first visit to WPC was today, and they have me as a customer for life. Even though they were extremely busy they were very helpful. I bought a bike carrier so I could get my bike in for a flat tire...and I know nothing about carriers. The salesman offered to assemble it, and put it on my car without any hesitation. When I came back with the bike, they fixed up my tire and had me out of there in a jiffy. Im so grateful for all there help. I will recommend them to everyone looking for bicycles or bicycle service.

I needed a new front axial and spring for my Schwinn. The manager Steve came right up to help me and when I explained what I needed he gave me the piece I needed free of charge! Even when I offered to pay he told me to just come by next time I needed anything. That is the kind of service that wins customers over. I saw tons of accessories that I know I will be adding to my bike soon. They were able to share information on maintenance and performance. I wouldnt go anywhere else for your bike needs.

I called Winter Park Cycles while on vacation in Florida looking for a part that I had broken on my Scott Mountain Bike. Not only did they have it in stock! but they were knowledgable on what I was asking for as it was a small random part. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone. They even mailed it to me, saving me from driving for over two hours around a state that Im unfamiliar with. I can see why they have 4.8 stars. Thanks Lance you saved my trip!

I went in to buy a bottom bracket. The gentleman who was "helping" me suggested I bring the bike in so their technicians could determine the problem. When I told him I simply wanted to buy a bottom bracket and was fully capable of diagnosing and repairing my own bike he no longer wanted to talk to me. Ended up buying the BB from Amazon and fixing the wifes hybrid despite their "help". So much for "support your local bike shop".

If anyone has a bad experience in this shop, my guess is that it is probably not the shops fault. I have shopped here for over 5 years and they are always super to deal with, knowledgable, good selection of performance gear and fairly priced. One of the best LBS I have dealt with.

Took my bent wheel, thought it was irreparable, for tech told me "maybe bent too bad to fix". Called next day, he said he fixed it and would ride it himself. Honesty like this hard to find in this day and age, thanks guys.
