I ordered glasses almost 3 weeks ago. When I ordered, I was told it would take a week. I also paid over $350 because I have high-index lenses, so it wasn’t cheap. 10 days later, I hadn’t heard anything so I called. They informed me that they had broken one of the lenses and they had to be re-ordered. And because I called, they realized they had re-ordered the WRONG lens, so it would be an additional 7 days from when I called. Had I not called, who knows how long it would have taken. Nobody called in the first place to inform me of the broken lens. So, a week after they had re-ordered the lens (for the second time), I called to see what the status was (since nobody took the time to call me), and they told me they were in the store and had been for several days (again, nobody called to inform me of this). So I went to pick them up, and as the guy was fitting them he MELTED THE LENSES in the machine. No joke. He told me they would AGAIN have to re-order the lenses and it would be another 7 days. I am going out of the country and needed these glasses, and thought 3 weeks would have been more than enough time to get it right. The best the manager could offer was a $25 discount on the total order, when the screwed up pair should have been free. They finally (after an hour of arguing) conceded to make a loaner pair of lenses for the frame, since high-index have to be ordered and they refused to pay to get them done locally, even though it was their error. So, I went to pick up my frames today with the loaner lenses (thicker ones), and the frame was warped! They had melted it evidently at the same time they ruined the lenses. So, I am without glasses and spent 3 weeks on this joke of a company and am left with no time to get glasses somewhere else before I am out of the country. I informed them that I want a COMPELTE and full refund, and that I am disgusted to have wasted 3 weeks on nothing, only to be back where I started. I will be contacting an attorney if my refund is not given. My advice? Pay $50 more and go somewhere that A) has customer service skills and B) knows how to do their job. What a nightmare. Terrible customer service, flawed product, and bad technicians.

On June 22, I ordered glasses. They said they would be here in two weeks. $270. After two weeks passes and I dont hear from them I call them. They put me on hold. Their phone system hangs up on me. I call right back and they advise sorry, it does that all the time. Say they are going to call me later regarding the delay on my glasses. Never call. July 10 my wife calls and they advise that the glasses had a problem in the lab. Glasses will be in Tuesday July 15th. I go in on the 15th, no glasses. Thats it. I want to cancel my order. Cant do that! No manager is here at 4:30 in the afternoon. Got to call tomorrow. Called the manager Corrine. "Your glasses will be here later today". I tell her I decided that if the glasses were not there Tuesday, when I wasted a trip going to their store, that I was cancelling my order. Sorry, no can do. "I dont have the authority to refund. That has to go through corporate." So I am told they are gong to call Gayle with customer service and she is going to get back with me. I call Gayle and she says that Eyeglass World does not offer refunds on custom work. but she can give me a hundred dollars off for my inconvenience. (Now what the hell pair of glasses is not custom work??????) I tell Gayle that she may hear back from me but I am going to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. Gayle hangs up on me. Save yourself a lot of grief and do not go there at all. Cons: used car lot price negotiations Just heard from my cc company. They are crediting me for my glasses. Now I have to shop for more. Dont fall for their pricing schemes!

These guys deliver what they say without any "bait-and-switch". Plus, they are genuinely nice people. I went in yesterday for the "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" special and they did not try to upsell me at all. I have insurance, but their special was a better deal than my insurance (and they verified that for me). I found 2 pairs of frames I loved in the $160 section. I had my 2 pairs of glasses less than 24 hours later for $160 total. No hidden charges and no hidden fees. My glasses have single power, plastic (they use only CR-39 plastic -- good!) lenses that are inherently scratch resistant, so no need to add a scratch resistant coating. And just FYI....I work in the field of optics and you can trust me when I tell you that most people dont need and really shouldnt get polycarbonate lenses of any type. Yes, they are slightly thinner and thus weigh less, but no matter what anyone tells you, you wont be able to notice the weight or thickness difference unless your frames are very large in diameter. The down side of poly lenses is that (1) they scratch MUCH easier than CR-39 plastic, and (2) they induce color errors (called chromatic aberration) in an image because different colors are in focus at different distances away from you. The only people that should really consider poly lenses are those that are getting rimless frames (and want the thinnest lenses possible) or those that need shatter resistant lenses (i.e. for use in contact sports).

I had such an amazing experience from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. I went for contacts and glasses. The manager Daniel was a huge help and very friendly with a great sense of humor. The receptionist by where doc does his exams was also very very sweet and very helpful. The doctor well let me say I give him ten stars! Not only was he super helpful he also took the time to actually explain what my problem was and how we were to fix. Also told me that the last location never decided to fix my astigmatism they just gave me the incorrect script and called it day figuring I would never find out. Well I did. I was getting excessive headaches and all sort of things. Well long story short. He got me the corrected contacts and the corrected glasses. Not only that but I got 2 pair of glasses for the price of 1!!!!! How GREAT IS THAT! SO I GOT TWO BEAUTIFUL PAIRS FOR THE PRICE OF 1. I WILL DEFINITELY BE COMING BACK HERE THIS IS MY NEW HOME FOR ANYTHING WITH MY EYES I WOULD NEVER GO ANYWHERE AGAIN!! THANK YOU SO MUCH DANIEL AND RICHARD FOR ALL YOUR HELP YOU GUYS ARE TRULY GREAT AT what you do.

Great people & poor service. It might be the location (right on colonial) or the clientele that this place attracts or maybe the market they are going after. My order came to $650+ for two pairs, I gave them a prescription for bifocals, they provided me two pairs of single vision, glasses had to be send out to do the bifocal glass and I had to provide an additional charge of $160.00 – when the glasses returned, one was obviously scratch at the ear piece, they could not fix it at the time, so had to return another day. After 7 trips back and forth to Eyeglass World, three months later & $800+ dollars later, I finally got my glass – I am not completely happy with them, but it was my mistake for trying them out. Hey, they got me this time, but remember, I buy glass every two years; my mom, dad, partner and friends use glasses too. They lost more than one customer – I was hoping with previous reviews they would have improved – NOT! FYI – Visionworks is right across the street, I was there two years ago, great service!
