Do you remember hardware stores before the days of Amazon and massive chain stores? Maybe you heard your dad speak about the time when you could walk into a neighborhood shop and get help from a knowledgeable staff and quickly find what you needed. This is such a place. If you need a random fastener then this is your place. If you lose a small screw or bolt that holds together that important tool or appliance just head over here. I personally have purchased Ikea furniture bolts, bearings to fix a go kart, clips to put a car door panel back on ect ect. Theyve saved me time and money. Yes, things here will cost a few dollars more, but not unreasonably so. Yes, they will not have 5 versions of every item in different colors, brands and quality levels. Next time you think about heading towards a chain hardware store stop by this place and give them a shot.

ACE always have what Im looking for and their employees knowledge on the products they sell and the service after the sale is unparalleled. Understandably , the home depot is sometimes cheaper but the customer service is a disgrace and most associates have no knowledge on how to install any given item. One more thing about Ave Hardware, if they dont have the item yiu need in Stock, they will gladly order to fit your needs, and even have your items delivered to your home! I always go to Ace first.
