I received a tattoo by johnny berrios over a year ago. It was a cover up that he was doing for me. I have been trying to finish this tattoo for the last year and for some reason he never gets back with me to fit me in. I went into the shop 2 weeks ago and they told me to go to johnnys station to speak with him about finishing it and he told me to text him. I texted him a picture of my tattoo that he was working on and for some reason again he does not respond at all. I went in the shop today and spoke to the young lady who was the receptionist and I let her know of the situation and I want to see if someone can finish my tattoo and she stated well he would have to finish it and I told her well if he has not made an effort to text me back then how can he finish it. I showed her the text message on me texting him with my tattoo that he was doing and I told her as u can see no response. She said he is here now go talk to him. I just refuse to talk to someone who has no interest in getting back to me to finish my tattoo and its been a year. Its just a sad situation where I spent money at this place and they just treat u like they dont care. Smh. I walked out and I told her its just a shame how he does business. Nothing against her. 4/9 response to Owner. Thank u for your thoughts on what happened. But I asked for another tattoo artist to finish my tattoo and your receptionist stated no one can finish your tatto but johnny but I chose not to speak with johnny bc I came in 2 weeks prior and I asked him to finish it and all he said was just text me and guess what no response again. I did NOT want someone to finish my tattoo especially if they did not want to get back with me on several occasions. Nothing was "lost in text" I have several text messages to prove it. I took time out my day to come down there twice within a two week period and still have not resolved the issue. Thank you.

To LOS: Exactly how much experience do you have dealing with tattoo shops???? Ascension is a custom tattoo shop, which its artists can be booked out, sometimes months in advance. Did you contact one of their artists a head of time? Research their FAQ page on their website, concerning speaking with an artist or making an appointment? Or did you go in there off the street, with little experience with tattoos or tattoo shops, expecting to get your tattoo right then and there with no respect or consideration about how busy they might have been at the time dealing with customers that had went through the appropriate routes concerning booking with an artist??? Do you go into a dentist office expecting the dentist to stop working on a client, so that he can tell you right then and there, whats wrong with your teeth?? Maybe you should re-evaluate what you think your experience is, concerning tattoo shops, hmmm? Regardless, Ascension is known for a handful of things. They are artists, who are passionate about tattooing and making sure their customers receive a professional experience, driven towards the needs of what the client is looking for, combined with what the artist is good at or known for. They are respected in the tattoo community and have a large returning clientele built from the ground up. Amongst an endless list of other things, they provide a clean and positive environment, and their artist are there to stay, not fly-by-night tattooers that disappear weeks later, for unknown reasons. Get a clue man.

What else is there to say that hasnt already been said? They are by far the best group of artists in one shop. Not just in Orlando, but in Florida, and I dare say in the SE. Ive had work done by 3 artists there from huge pieces to small pieces and have had numerous people ask me who the artists were. Ive recommended several people to the shop The artwork is suburb, artists are very down to earth and very approachable, environment is extremely comfortable. Dont worry about being into the "tattoo scene" to have your idea taken seriously. Everyone from the shop assistant to the owner treat you like gold. Dont make the mistake and choose another shop. On the down side, you may have to book in advance a few weeks, but why would that be an issue for something that will be on you for the rest of your life?!? Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent months searching for the perfect artist at the perfect shop to do my first tattoo. I did not choose correctly... The shop was clean, but thats the only positive thing I have to say. After setting up my appointment with Robert via -mail (because I live 2 hours away) he was still surprised when I got to the shop. He did not check the spelling of my tattoo (its primarily text) or talk to me much about the design. AFTER starting in Robert realized it was my first tattoo and wondered aloud why I chose him. I told him that all of the birds in his portfolio prompted that decision and he replied that "I somehow always get stuck with them." He still BUTCHERED it!!! The text is too tight and the only design elements ended up looking likes blobs... Very disappointed and I will be getting it fixed elsewhere.

These guys are the best tattoo shop I have been to anywhere in the world. Very clean shop, very nice artists. I was especially impressed with the willingness to rework designs until they got them right without ever being condescending or frustrated with us. We are very picky, and I am amazed by their quality of work they deliver every time. They are absolutely the best, I would never go to another shop. They have done several tattoos for both me and my wife, and we both carry around more Ascension business cards than our own, we are constantly complimented and constantly asked where we get our work done.

My best friend and I came down to Orlando for my bachelorette weekend and we planned on getting tattooed but didnt know where to go. Thanks to a local fan group we found Ascension Tattoo and they were able to squeeze us in that night. It was an amazing experience!!! From the moment we walked in we felt welcome and the atmosphere was amazing. Our artist was Jime and his ability was as wonderful as his bone dry humor. We had an excellent experience and we would return! I hope they enjoyed my cake story as much as we enjoy the gorgeous tattoos!!!!

I am on my fifth session at Ascension Tattoo and I couldnt be happier with my artist and the shop. You can look at the art online and see the awesome work this shop puts out but what you cant see is the welcoming environment that the shop emits. Everyone from tattoo veterans who are there to add to their collection of body art or to the tattoo virgin who is looking to get that first meaningful piece this shop takes care of them. This is now my shop. If I want fantasy, realism, or cartoon this shop has my artist.
