The Mount Dora Walmart has been a train wreck for several years now. Its terribly mis-managed. Here is why: -There are no more door greeters -Check out counters are from the 70s, dirty, cluttered, small, unreadable creditcard scanners -Insufficient cashiers -Cluttered check out areas filled with junk and other items begging for one last chance to be purchased -Long lines at service counter -Baskets located only at front door -Narrow isles to cram more merchandise -Poor selection of donuts -Long lines at deli -Isles filled with desperate merchandise -Patron congestion all about the store due to greedy merchandise vendors -FILTHY BATHROOMS -Parking lots that are filled with cars owned by employees who take ALL of the spots closest to the entrances. -Shopping carts are all over the parking lot and down the street -Dont believe the 5 star ratings here. They are fake. Just another reason this store needs new management. I can go on and on and on but I think you get the picture.

I love Walmart, there affordable and have a great selection. I just dont like going to the mount dora walmart. I would rather take the drive to the one in Leesburg. Here is some of the reasons: I dont like how they have a lot of check outs but never enough workers in them so your wait time is 15 to 20 minutes so when u have children that are anixious or special needs it makes the experience more difficult. Most of there workers are rude. I think out of the past 10 visits I only had 2 that where nice and smiled. The shopping carts outside are all over the place and I always just see the cart collector walking around to where there isnt many carts. On a positive note they do have a great selection of items and its organized. The sit to store is a long wait I spent 45 mins waiting for someone to assist me and I had 10 different employees say they were going to get someone so I wouldnt suggest that.

Its Walmart with heart. Clean, friendly, all merchandise is updated and new displays and seasonal items are ready early for purchase. It has a new conveyor self check out isle with a hand scanner. Very cool and convenient especially for heavy items and being in a hurry. I was not impressed (again) with returns. Staff is great but their policies are getting more and more ridiculous. Receipt was t accepted because bottom price was ripped off they couldnt scan. Finally, I brought 4 items to return (ripped receipt) and was given a store card but purchase was rang up in half placing it as 2 returns instead of 1. I believe you can only make a few trips toreturn dept.without a receipt before your cut off. The whole experience want fair all around. Yet I remain a faithful consumer understand the need for precaution. I feel its just getting way too strict.

Walmart in general is a great place where you can pretty much get everything in one stop. The bakery staff was super sweet. This store needs better labelling of their aisles and the staff on the floor could use some customer service training. I spoke with 4 staff members to locate 1 item...none really willing to help until the last guy. 2 other staff members that were restocking the shelves in the cereal section saw me standing there for over 15 minutes unable to find what I need and instead of offering assistance one of them literally cut in front of me to continue stocking the shelf blocking me from the items on the shelf. Customer service is key to success...Walmart will always be successful because of convenience but this location really needs to train their staff to be professionals regardless of their position.

By far,the worst Walmart I have ever been in & Ive lived in 4 states across the country. The management is horrible. The store is almost always un-organized,dimly lit and filthy. Its too small for the amount of people that shop there due to its location. The customer service line is usually a mile long. Most of the managers are rude and very unprofessional,I actually heard one manager loudly talking about social media drama .Also, the managers never know their own stores coupon /ad match policy. The majority of cashiers are better at dealing with customers than the managers are, theyre also much more professional and polite.I dont even ad match anymore because so many different managers say different things in regards to the policy. Its such a hassle.Thank goodness for the Savings catcher,I guess.

Have been in WalMart all over the USA and part of Canada and the one in Mt.Dora, FL is by far one of the worth I have been in..The aisle are to narrow to start with and then displayed will be put in the middle of aisle with merchandise on the end of an aisle where there no room for shopping carts to get thru if someone is looking at them. (or employee standing there).. They pick the the most crowed time of day to stock shelves with large pallet or carts blocking the narrow aisle. ..Inventory is another big problem in this store, seem always out of what you need. . Employees and customer are the rudes you fine anywhere...Thank goodness there a Target near by as I have almost quite going in this WalMart...

They never seem to have enough registers open, especially fri and sat nights. They have new self checkouts that they leave closed. Tonight there were only 2 standard registers and one bank of small self checkout (grocery side) open. The 2 registers had about 8 people in line each, and about 15 people waiting for the small self checkout with 3 having full carts. They stock sloppy. Often youll find whole cases of product in the wrong spot, and sometimes whole sections are half empty for no apparent reason. A month ago I was looking for a flashlight, and they had 2/3 of the aisle out of stock, and a lot of the ones in stock were in the wrong spot or had no matching shelf label.

I just had the best experience at the Mount Dora, FL Walmart. I stopped to get fabric to have a blanky remade that my grandmother made for me over six years ago. I was a little embarrassed when I first approached Lordes for her help because, who would think at my age, I would still have a blanky. I told her my story and she instantly made me feel comfortable. She helped me find the right fabric, the satin and even knew what size I needed. Before I left, she gave me an idea on how to incorporate the blanky that my grandmother made into the new one that almost made me cry. She is definitely a great asset to the company and I hope she gets recognized for her hard work.

Eventhough, I was just a customer, I notice the managers treat their temps/employees like slaves. Honestly, I cant believe how the managers treat the employees and how disrespectful they can be. I will never go back to this store (Walmart at Mount Dora in FL) because I dont want to support anyone in that store that would treat people like animals, work them to death, and barely pay them anything an hour. #Somepeopledontstandupforwhatisright #respectothersandgetrespect #storemakesmillionsbuttreatspeoplelikeslaves #neveragain #disrespectful #teamworkmakesthedreamworkushouldtryit #lostacustomer #lookupthereviewsforthisplacetherehorribletopeople

This Walmart was a bit different than the others I have been to. I like that the entrance and exits are separated in such a way so you dont have people shoving their way in through the exit. They have a nice selection of clothing, shoes, purses and luggage. I actually found several bathing suites in my size. I was at a few other local clothing stores that didnt have a selection of clothing past size 14 or a good selection of mens shoes past 10. The store is clean and organized. The employees were helpful. When we were there they should have had more cashiers. It puts a strain on the cashiers when they have so many people in line.
