I purchased a washing machine less than a year ago from Home Depot which was recently recalled by Samsung. I filed the recall paperwork with Samsung and they informed me that I just need to purchase a new one and have the old one picked-up/disposed of and get a receipt showing it was removed. I purchased my new washing machine from Home Depot in Lake Park, FL and scheduled a delivery/pick-up on my only day off. I did not get a call the night before to confirm my delivery time and the delivery guys showed up at 8am on Saturday. After speaking with the delivery guys, they informed me that they did not have any information on then disposal of my old washing machine. I advised them that we requested that service and attempted to call Home Depot to help them straighten things out. While I was speaking with the rep at Home Depot, my boyfriend called the office of the delivery company. While we were both on the phone, the delivery guys told us to call them once we got everything worked out and left our house! This was not our problem to work out! They should have been calling, but instead we (the consumer) had to help them figure everything out. Once the delivery company and Home Depot were on the same page about the disposal of our old washing machine, we asked them to send the delivery guys back to our house. They told us they were refusing to come back that same day because of all of the issues!!! This was not our fault!! I later called home depot to ask them to help us get the washing machine delivered that same day, and they told me there was nothing they could do as they could not help us dispose of our old washing machine since it was affected by a recall. What?! I had to 3 way Samsung and the Home Depot employee to get her to understand that all they have to do is dispose of the recalled washing machine and give me a receipt proving it was disposed of. After hours on the phone with Home Depot and the delivery company, I got no where. Samsung kept telling the Home Depot employee to just simply remove the old washing machine from my house and give me a reciept. The Home Depot employee started yelling at the Samsung employee, saying that they are Home Depot is it not their job to handle recalls. She kept telling me that it was my responsibility to send the washing machine to Samsung! The employees are not there to help you! She later told me the reason there was so much confusion was because all of the delivery/disposal notes were put on the wrong washing machine order (my first purchase and not the new purchase). On top of all of that, the documents from Home Depot had a fake address on it instead of my correct address. All of the issues that occurred were not my fault, yet we were treated like uninformed consumers and an inconvenience to their day! Anyone one willing to care now?

Do NOT buy succulents from this store! On numerous visits over the course of many months, I have noticed (and alerted the garden staff!) that their succulents are infested with scale. They have an infestation worse than Ive ever seen, and the scale WILL infect all of your other surrounding plants! Scale is caused by pests burrowing into the leaves of plants, and results in brown or white raised bumps on the leaves. It is unethical and just plain wrong for Home Depot to sell plants that the staff is fully aware are INFESTED and very difficult to treat. Attached are photos of numerous sickly, infested plants. Not to mention- I purchased a bag of fast draining cactus / citrus soil, and placed the other unopened bag in an airtight container. Opened it one month later...and it was horrifying! Apparently it had been infested with ant larvae, and was crawling with more ants than Ive ever seen in my life! Numerous succulents, plants, soil, and mulch friends, family and neighbors have purchased from this store come with serious issue, and a hefty price tag for treating the resulting ant/ tick / scale / spider mite infestation. An elderly neighbor now has a scale infestation resulting from buying a succulent arrangement from this store. Thanks but no thanks! I will NEVER buy anything from their garden department again, and I suggest others tread carefully!

If you know what youre looking for great but god forbid you need to ask someone for help! Im trying something new with my woodworking and it required a white wash so I waited patiently for my turn at the counter and was helped. As I was explaining to the gentleman what I was trying to do he proceeds to interrupt me by banging something then when he cant hear me he gives me some attitude. So when I go to repeat myself I get maybe 10 words into what I was trying to explain to him I wanted to do and interrupts me again saying I need to go to an arts and craft store. Thats when I just smiled and walked away. I had an idea of what I needed and just needed clarification if what I had indeed was what I needed. So I put it back then spent 20 minutes in lumber getting the wood I need while crawling into the spot where it was trying to find good pieces (worst batch of lumber Ive seen from HD) while SEVERAL associates walked by staring but not asking if I need help. Needless to say I got my lumber and spray paint then went to Lowes for the white wash I needed and go the proper help I was looking for.

Honestly this place deserves negative trillion stars. Just left this Home Depot exactly now Saturday, August 13th 2:54pm. Went in to get car keys duplicated and the "key expert" denied to make my key copies. I went to ask Assistant Manager and he said to go back and have the "expert" copy the keys. Long story short, this is the most incompetent and non professional "business" being run. Not only was I treated indifferent, now I know why people rather visit Lowes than Home Depot. By the way there was a long line of irate customers complaining in the Customer Service line....makes sense. A waste of time and personally the most racist staff ever. Best lesson and Message reminder from this interaction is "Please make America BETTER not Great again". Also, for the ones below saying how great of a store/customer service it is here, you must be a current employee, a former employee, or a relative of some sorts.... #ThumbsDOWNNNNNN

I predominantly shop at this Home Depot compared to Lowes which is also very close by. The customer service here is amazing and sometimes too good. You ask about a screw assembly and you get the entire history of the assembly and a walk through on your whole project. This is great for me but could be over kill for someone who actually knew what they are doing! I think it all starts with the management. A few years ago I was making something and a man stopped to help us without prompting. He went above and beyond (we lost out measuring tape somewhere in the store) and gave us a new measuring tape off his belt for free. I assumed he was just a helpful employ but it turns out he is a manager there (possibly general manager?). Years later he still stops to say hi and ask how that project is holding up. Great place!
