We purchased a used refrigerator from Martin Appliance. The initial delivery was late due to mechanical difficulties with the delivery truck. They did however deliver early the day after scheduled delivery. The 1st week we had it we discovered that the unit was not cooling properly and called them for service. Service was prompt, and it was determined at that time the unit was not repairable and would need replaced. I purchased the unit Sept. 11, it is now Oct. 1 and I am still waiting on a replacement. I have spoken with everyone all the way up the chain to managers for the past 2 weeks. Communication is apparently lacking because each individual I speak with time and time again has no idea there was ever a problem or that we are due a replacement unit. I was promised (again) a new unit by today. I called in at 4:15 PM and spoke with another individual who again was not aware I was in need of a replacement unit. I believe I will choose to spend my money elsewhere in the future. UPDATE: They called me back finally around 5 PM. They had not refrigerator that was "comparable" to the one I had already purchased. So I was forced to pay the difference on a new one in order to get one delivered. As far as I see it their lack of inventory is not my problem. They promised to replace the junk they originally sold me with a same or better unit. They did not stand by what they said and I paid for it (literally). I had tons of food go bad because of this fiasco. So, in addition to the couple of hundred bucks I lost in food I also had to spend even more on a new unit. Hind sight, I should have demanded a refund and purchased a brand new one from a different local supplier.

My wife and I wanted to purchase our new washer and dryer from a local family owned business. The purchase process seemed OK and delivery and installation went well. After using the new washer, I felt the noise level was excessive. I called Martin Appliance to request service. They were very hesitant to come out and tried to convince me this noise was normal via the phone. When they finally agreed to send out a service tech, they gave me a 10am-2pm window to show up the following Monday 1-11-2016. That was yesterday. Not only did no one show up, they never even called. I waited to 4:30 pm before calling the store. No one answered. They wasted my entire day. As far as I am concerned, Martin Appliance has shown the utmost contempt for this customer and my time. There is no excuse for this. If this was an oversight on their part, it demonstrates a serious lack of organization or supervisory oversight. The other alternative is that they got my money and just do not care and hope I go away. Either way, they have lost my future business and that of everyone else I can persuade to avoid them.

Buyer Beware.... I purchased a used washing machine from these people. They took my old one, which was a top-load Kenmore from 2006 when they delivered the used one I purchased from them...An older Kenmore top-load from the late 90s (I think). Getting the thing delivered was a nightmare, the delivery guy was sent by himself and he and I had a heck of a time getting it upstairs, but with a 3 year old, I could not be without a washer, and a new one was too expensive. Fast forward 5 months, and the motor starts smoking. George wants to charge $75 just to come out and see what is wrong with it. I can see it not having a warranty past 30 days, but to charge a premium just to pinpoint the issue is really wrong. I am happy to pay for an actual repair, but if I had $75 to just throw away, I would not have gotten a USED washer in the first place. I feel they took advantage of me, probably turned a nice profit on my old washer, and hung me out to dry on the used one they sold. If you buy from these people, better be sure whatever you purchase comes with a solid warranty.

My mom purchased a speed queen washer and dryer on Monday February 15, 2016. Associate named Heather said they had some in order and would be in on Thursday February 18 2016. My mom said that was fine. On Saturday February 20 we called to check status. They said they could deliver one day next week. On Monday February 22 spoke with Heather and she set delivery up for Thursday February 25 between 10 and 12. Around 2 I called to find out where they were. I spoke with Nickki, she said she would call me back. She called to let me know they had some problems with earlier deliveries and they could deliver by 4:30 pm. I said thats fine as long as its delivered today. Around 7:20 pm tonight the delivery person named Angel called. I was unable to get to my phone so I called back around 7:50 and he said I was to late. All someone from the business needed to do was communicate with me. They have misspoken the truth every time they open their mouths. I would not recommend purchasing anything from this company.

My wife and I purchased a scratch and dent washer and dryer from Martin Appliance just yesterday for a much lower price than if we bought them new. Not only was the delivery prompt the next day, it seemed that Ms. Paula, who was coordinating everything for us, had a hell of a day herself to boot. Its amazing what a little courtesy can do, because every time I called with just a hint of understanding for the insanity of her day, I was meet with gratitude and top-notch customer service. If youre buying scratch and dent, you dont tend to expect this kind of service to go with it, and I am just blown away with the service weve received. I would certainly recommend Martin Appliance to anyone who asks.

These guys are are great and our family has been using them for many years. We purchased all of our kitchen appliances from them, which meet our needs and are still working well after 5+ years of everyday use. We also have a washer and dryer that we bought from them that work great too. George is very knowledgeable and was able to save us a lot of money on our dryer. The electronics got zapped during a thunderstorm, but we were able to take it in to the store for repair. They were able to fix the existing board rather than having to buy a costly new one. That allowed the dryer to function for several more years. These guys are honest and work very hard to give their customers a fair deal.

Being an Industry Partner of Martin Appliance Family I have known Jeff and Rob for years. So when I needed help moving a washer/dryer combination from an apartment my Wife and I were vacating I called upon Jeff. Jeff, Nicky and Angel were wonderful in the manner each performed. Everything was done exactly as I was told, exactly when I was told it would happen. We were treated as a part of a family (Family) instead of an annoying customer. No Big Box store owner will take the time to greet you in his store or return a phone call. Martin Appliance Family certainly gets an "At-a Boy" and "Two Thumbs Up" from us! Tiger and Jayne
