The worst car buying experience I have ever experienced. Liars, unprofessional, bad business ethics, the list goes on. I purchased a 2013 Audi A6 that was "Carmax Quality Certified" and had the "125 point inspection". They told me that they had put brand new tires on it. 3 days after I buy the car the 2 drivers side tires completely blow out ruining both wheels. I had the car towed back to carmax assuming they will fix it, especially with the fact that I have only had it for 3 days. They wind up telling me that they need to do an investigation to see if it was my fault. I asked them why they told me they had put new tires on the vehicle, and showed them huge gouges on the passenger side tires (obviously not new tires). Then all of a sudden the only tires that were new were the tires that were completely destroyed. Not only would they not fix the car, they give me an estimate of what it is going to cost for them to replace everything. I told them that I wanted to return the car, and they refuse to take it back even with their 30 day return policy. After days of arguing I just took it to the Audi dealer. The Audi dealer tells me that the break pad need to be changed immediately or my breaks were going to go out, and they also tell me that the car is completely out of alignment. So what is with the 125 point inspection carmax? Did you guys check anything at all? Carmax would never return my calls, they would put me on hold when I called and then disconnect me forcing me to actually go into the store anytime I would try to get an answer for anything. My sales person assured me the entire time that I would not pay anything out of pocket for anything and that he would personally take care of me. All bullshit lies. Horrible horrible business!!!!

NEVER buy a car from here. I had one of the worst scenarios of my life happen here where I literally almost called the cops for a report. I test drove a car and left mine there. They said I had three days to return the car I was testing. Brought the car back on the second day and they had paid off the amount I owed on MY car and said there was nothing they could do. They said the car was no longer mine because they paid it off. Went back and forth with a POS manager that told me there was no General manager. I asked him "So, what you are telling me is that this facility does not have a General Manager? Its just managers like you?" He said yes, and I said ok, give me a second. Walked outside to the girl in the front desk and asked her what the name of the General Manager was and she quickly replied. Went back in to the office and gave him the name of the manager and he said "I meant he wasnt working today". The sales person that was handling the issue literally said "we made a mistake" in front of me and the sales manager. All he would say was too bad, there is nothing we can do. I had to buy back my car from them only after getting a better rate and threatening to file a law suit when I spoke to the nonexistent GM the following morning. My neighbor purchased a car there and she kept taking it in for repairs. After getting the feeling that something was wrong she took it to another shop even though the car still had an active service contract through CarMAX. The third party shop was able to identify multiple parts that she was told had been replaced with new ones (in the CM repair receipts). Basically they kept patching things up and telling her they were changing out parts. Again, DO NOT BUY A CAR AT CarMAX.

AWSOME! I was able to purchase a truck with many more features than I ever would have guessed. Every dealer and sales person that I reached ( before going to Carmax ) wasted my time. they all tried to sell me what they had instead of trying to find what I wanted. The sticker price on all of the GMC and Silverado trucks were much higher than what Carmax was asking. Also, all of the dealers were asking way too much money for a lesser truck! I contacted Carmax and they found me a 2013 Sliverado 1500LT . With a 5.3-V8 and 6 speed transmission with less than 8,000 miles. I could not believe the price. It was $4000.00 dollars less than most sticker prices at other dealers. The other dealers were selling trucks with 6 cylinder engines and 4 speed transmissions. No bells and whistles. Those trucks had basic AC and power windows. Most of them had racing wheels and tires that cost a lot to replace. I tried getting some of the dealers to put stock wheels on them and they said "no". I paid to bring the truck in from another state. The nice thing about this is I get first chance to see and purchase it. The truck arrived on a Wednesday I showed up to see it on Saturday. So there was no panic that someone might buy that truck first. I was able to take my time. Once I saw that it had everything else I thought I could never afford, like leather, back up camera, blue tooth, remote start and so many other things .I was very happy to buy this truck. I will buy another vehicle from them. This was a very dignified transaction with no stress. I recommend buying a vehicle from this company if you value your time, money and wish to be treated with integrity.

My experience with Carmax was horrible from the moment we walked in no one greeted us. As my wife and I started to walk to the lot where the cars were, we approached a salesperson walking outside. I was looking for a TAHOE and found it there. After testing the car I bought it. After driving the car for two days I noticed the idle on the car was low and shaking rough at stops. I called the dealer to take it back and they said they had no appointments until the following week. I asked to speak to a Service Manager and was not connected one. After a week of calling and getting the run around from everyone in your service department, I called The Main Corp Office to give my complaint. Someone called me from the dealer to give me the same story, no appointments until the following week. After dealing with these people I knew I wasnt going to get anything resolved. I decide to check the car out myself and noticed you (AT CARMAX) are liars. CARMAX claims to do a 125 point inspection of their vehicles. And I find that hard to believe as I found the condition of the spark plugs, wires were damaged, throttle body was so dirty it took me half an hour to clean it. I took the truck no to the OEM dealer and they sure didn’t give me any issue. Yes sir, no sir, when do you want to leave the truck, THAT’S customer service, not what CARMAX offers. You should consider hiring qualified people that know about cars and trucks and train your staff on the customer service portion CARMAX claims to have. I will never purchase a car from you again
