We purchased a Chrysler Sebring Convertible from Autowize recently. Not only was I impressed with the vast inventory of vehicles but also the quality condition that each was in.. Definitely Grade A+ across the board and Im not easily pleased in the vehicle category!! Dave is the Owner and Primary Salesman. His laid back approach and calm demeanor are ideal for the knowledgeable and/or inexperienced buyer. Hes not wearing some flashy intimidating suit which made him extremely relatable to Us. Hes a down to earth, no bullshit type of guy who I instinctively felt trustworthy from the get go. As You know, trustworthy and used car dealers arent exactly a marriage in the making. During our time looking for a vehicle on Daves lot, we felt absolutely no pressure! He came out to greet us when we arrived and said give me a shout if you have any questions or want to test drive one. After which, he stayed out of our hair until we found 3 vehicles we were interested in. Not only did we find THREE DIFFERENT options of the type of car we were looking for, but with a genuine smile on his face Dave patiently moved severel vehicles around to be able to get at each and every vehicle that we test drove. After test driving all 3, we made a decision and began the usually grueling paperwork process with Dave! Now bare in mind, Daves simultaneously dealing with a Bluetooth ringing off the hook, several other customers looking around the lot, greeting them and moving vehicles for other test drives. He calmy handled these tasks all while not keeping us waiting in anticipation...... As the paperwork process began, he was completely relaxed, courteous and gave us his complete focus! As we were filling out and signing papers Dave continued multitasking all while making us laugh our asses off the entire time with a hilarious yet tasteful and witty sense of humor on a number of topics. This Dude was the smoothest, most easy going and fun car dealer Ive ever come across in my 48 years of MANY encounters!! Finally, we discovered that the horn wasnt working on the vehicle about a week later. Now realize that Dave offers a 2,000 mile/ 20 day dealer warranty. I dont believe that the horn would usually be covered under such a warranty but when we called him, he said bring it down and he took care of it. No questions asked! I dont usually write reviews on - well, Much of Anything! But in this case, I completely felt led to do so. This Guy is the Cream of the Crop when it comes to Used Car Dealers and for that matter - quality men in general! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to those of You looking to buy a car - "START YOUR SEARCH with Dave @ AutoWise in Clearwater, FL"!!!! Youll thank me later!!!!

It was 4 stars, but is quickly loosing them (ALL of them) On 10/15, put a deposit on a V8 Van, and had a list of "must fixes" before final payment/pick up. On 10/18, all but 1 thing was done, this being to replace an interior overhead light. We were told it had been ordered and could take up to 2 weeks. Three weeks later, it was still MIA. Many "excuses" were bandied over a period including many messages/phone converstaions. Some time later, the date of receiving the light was moved to 12/4. It is now 12/22. Calls over the last 4 days brought many vague answers/excuses. As of 12/20, we were told that the place that is supposed to cary them, was closed until after the Holiday. Would that be Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day, or perhaps Ground Hog Day. Guess we should have waited until the lihgt was actually INSTALLED before writing that last chack. My once good experience has flushed away. Guess it is time to contact the BBB. Unsatisfied in St Petersburg.

Nice vehicles & fair prices. Ive bought a few vehicles over the years from this place & always managed to get a fair deal. It was very convenient for me since I lived in the apartments right behind the dealership, but even if I did not live so close it would still be worth the drive. They even treated me right on my trade in that I purchased there. I trade my truck in about every 3 years so I was glad they were not some fly by night dealership. I got to know the owners & Dave the Salesman who has a wise guy sense of humor in a good way, he actually had me laughing which eased the stress of truck shopping. Overall a good experience & even some of my neighbors purchased there, I hope they stay for the long haul so I dont have to find a new place to go. & thanks for the free oil change! Its the little things that count. See ya in a couple years Dave!

I purchased a car from Dave just ten months ago. The car has had multiple-multiple major issues beginning just one month after purchase. The air stopped working and flooded interior floor, cylinder valves had to be replaced, water pump, radiator, four new tires and no spare came with vehicle. Heater control panel did not work, and now the head gasket is blown. LESSON LEARNED EVEN THOUGH I DID MY RESEARCH ON THE VEHICLE I DONT THINK THEY EVEN RAN IT THROUGH A SYSTEMS CHECK, OR MOST IF NOT ALL THE PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. In the future I will always go to a reputable car dealership. It has been a 10 month nightmare. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!!!

buyer beware, make sure you have all keys and keyless entry fobs and keys work in everything. make sure you get your warranty when they advertise it. make copies of ad when interested in car to prove what you are buying. test drive car for longer than they have gas in they car, car is empty on gas when you buy it., make sure you have your spare tire before you leave. check the car before you leave a deposit, pictures on ads hide flaws. cost me $100 for extra keys, keyless entry module has failed, cost $500, no spare tire, good thing I did not have a flat on 1100 mile trip back home. very disappointed and they do not care. so far my worse cay buying experience.

Excellent. The other comments on here appear to be written by the same person or competitor that is maybe not doing so well? I have purchased, after today 3 vehicles from AutoWize auto sales, this most recent for my son whos 16 now. The last 2 were for my wife and me. They knew I was buying a car for my son, and understood my concern for his safety. While my son would like to drive a Lamborghini, a family type larger vehicle was on my mind for his own safety and my sanity. We have gotten a great car and van, and were buying another car today for our son. I highly recommend AutoWize for a great deal on a vehicle. Rick

Bought a truck, over all nice experience... Dave kind of dropped the ball in the end though. Seems once you pay for a car, thats when the assistance stops. Broken side mirror, Was promised a part for 4 weeks after the purchase.. every time I call, always an excuse of why it he didnt have it. I finally gave up.... Zero follow through on customers, could care less after they get paid. Get ALL work dont BEFORE you give final payment. Ill never buy another one for these guys...
