I give them a one star and they dont even deserve that. I have been shopping from them for 16 years an they now messing up with me, I live far from the store and I was told a price for a movie, when I go in they try selling it to me at a higher price. To keep me as a happy customer they did NOT honor the price that was told to me over the phone, I drove way from other side of town to get to them before closing time and left with nothing, a waist of my time and gas! They have lost me as a customer for good. Again, they got the one star only so I can leave this review but they dont even deserve that one star treating a repeat customer of 16 years like this. Id rather buy the movie new elsewhere than giving them another one of my dollars, I no longer recommend this store of Brandon and Tampa to absolutely nobody!

Once the place for music, unfortunately the internet is slowly killing this side of the business. Fortunately Sound Exchange has adapted and become more of a pop culture store carrying everything from books to swords to video games. Visiting the place is like finding a store sized treasure chest, you just dont know what goodies you will discover. My only complaint is the music. Everytime I go they are playing what sounds like to me some variation of death metal. Imagine some one strangling a cat with a guitar while being screamed at by a drunk tom waits and you are beginning to understand the cacophony assaulting your ears. Mellow out a little guys, maybe some old fashion Metallica..

I love this place the store is cool and the people working there are awesome! My husband and I wanted to start buying vinyl again but didnt know a good place but I looked up record stores and the sound exchange came up we went in and fell in love with it ! Shout out to Duane hes awesome whatever album Ive looked for hes found !! Ive been gathering Pink Floyd albums and of course their hard to find but when they do Duane lets me know so my collection has grown a lot !!! As with other albums weve been searching for so instead of a good record store we found a great one !!!! Thanks sound exchange ! Rock on you guys ! Pink Floyd Forever! !!

An awful experience. There is one guy that works there , a younger guy, who is very unfriendly. If you are selling,through the whole process, the guy has a scowl on his face. Also, he will purposely keep you waiting even though you were there first. Their prices are outrageous as well. They will sell full seasons for shows like "The Big Bang Theory" as an example, for twice the price as most other places, let alone online. Even their used prices are exorbitantly high. If you want friendly, fair, reasonable prices, this is NOT the place you want to frequent.

Ive been coming to this place since I was knee high to a grass hopper haha!! Been a loyal patron since their Lumsden location! this store helped my musical taste evolve into what I am today... A MUSIC NUT!!! they have a great selection of all genres of music old and new! and great movies for cheap too!! when i was a teen my whole room was decked out in very unique band posters I would get from there!! Great atmosphere there!! its my go to record store!!!

Great atmosphere and service. Wonderful selection that includes many obscure pieces Ive only ever seen online. Used items are in great condition which was something I was skeptical about at first, but soon I came to realize the items I bought (which were used) worked flawlessly. Great prices on used items as well. Awesome variety, awesome place. I highly recommend shopping at Sound Exchange.

The Brandon Sound Exchange is fantastic. Huge selections of cds, vinyl, comics, games, and other cool random stuff. Employees are very helpful,knowledgeable, and provide a great atmosphere. Even if the store doesnt have the iten Im looking for they always try to find it for me. They will always have my business.

As a fan of just about every music genre, I love the Sound Exchange. I cant pass by here without stopping in to see what selections are available. Even though Ive migrated most of my collection to digital, I still cant help picking up a CD or two every time I visit. If you love music, youll love this place.

Sound exchange rocks. Dont listen to that chuckle head David C. All the staff are knowledgeable on music, movies, games, comics, etc. Prices are all reasonable, the staff is most excellent, and there selection is second to none. That ham sandwich should stick to buying big bang theory box sets at walmart.

Me and my family stopped by just to check it out. Not only was the place packed with sooo many awesome things (we couldnt decide what to get lol), the staff there was very helpful and kind. The movies we bought were in brandnew condition not a scratch and very cheap. We are definitely going back!! :)

Absolutely sensational store. Great prices on used items that are in great condition. A wide variety of CDs, Cassettes, and Vinyl that any music fan would enjoy. I would highly recommend shopping at sound exchange if you have an appreciation for music period. Service is amazing, too.

I loved the variety of items I can purchase there. I have bought a Laser Disc Player and some cool furniture pieces and multiple albums. I love the store even I come in just to browse the staff are always glad to assist and talk about vintage games records and toys.
