Not worth the gas to get there. I needed an emergency loan for a couple days. I have never pawned anything and did a lot of research of different pawn places around. This seemed to get the best reviews. I reluctantly needed to pawn a professional model pure silver Bach Stradivarious trumpet. I researched on eBay what they were selling for. Most used ones seemed to sell quickly in between $1,000 -$1,200, with some going for around $1,700 for really nice condition. I didnt want to sell mine, just use it as collateral for a loan, as I love the horn and wanted to keep it. I figured a $500 loan was well within reason. Once I walked in, I told him what item I had and that I was interested in getting a $500 pawn on this item. He didnt even open the case it was in and just said "No Chance!" Then he proceeded to tell me his knowledge of trumpet history and that the market had bottomed out, which was most likely a ploy to undercut me. Ebay market doesnt lie, and there were plenty going for the $1,000 +. He was going to make the "25% interest a month" off me anyways, however his back up incase I never came back for the item was still to make 60-70% profit after ebay fees. There is no argument one could make that he would be stuck with it, because he could sell it for at least $1,000 in a week (as many auctions online have proven). I could understand if I was asking $1,000 loan for it, that that would be way too high. Oh well, if this place gets the best reviews across the board, I guess the others would probably want me to pay them to take it from me.

This is "The" only Pawn shop in Brandon for me! I make this my first stop shop for all my jewelry needs. Most times they are more than fulfilled at Community Pawn. However, if Mark does not have what you are looking for, ask, odds are he can make it for you. Find that at other Pawn Shops... And as far as honesty in the pawn business? You will not find none better than this family owned business. On a recent visit to the shop I asked for my ring to be cleaned. Next thing I know I am being given a repair slip. Mark pointed out to me that my ring was cracked. I had no idea that it was even in need of his attention. Could not ask for better people. And then there are those times when I need a break, and a Life Lift. I head over to community pawn window shop and chat with Mark and Michelle. I am very honored to call them Friend. And I could not thank them more for always meeting all my needs as a loyal customer.

The hours posted here online are incorrect. Community Pawn does NOT open until 9:30 am. Someone needs to correct this listing. I was not happy to get there at 9am expecting the shop to be open! That said, the service there is great, the owners are very friendly. I took eyeglasses in to be repaired and they were done the same day at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this shop if you need your eyeglass frames repaired!

The people at this shop are the nicest Ive ever encountered running a pawn establishment. I purchased a 14k gold rose ring for my wife here. They size up or down 2 sizes for no charge! They also have unbeatable prices on jewelry repairs! I had 2 of my rings redone (tightening clasps and replacing a few chipped diamonds). Go here before anywhere else!

what nice people Mark and Mickle i felt like part of the family iv been in a lot of pawn shops but this one is in the top ten i used to buy and sell diamonds and stuff all over the us. grate buy when i need something i call mark first if he has it he takes Cary of me with grate price this is what keeps me coming back over and over again

I have been going there for years!!!! They are the best, most honest people I have known since moving to Tampa. They are so humble and will never steer you wrong!! I recomend anyone looking for good quality jewlery to go see Michelle and Mark, youll see what I am talking about!!! AWSOME!!!

I have twice visited for jewelry repairs, the first time I was quoted one price and charged a much higher one. I gave them another chance and this time was assured of a quote, wrote it down on the receipt and when I get there it is 50% higher than quoted.
