Just as good as their other locations, plus they have late hours and it isnt too crowded here! Open till 11pm Monday-Thursday, 12am on Friday-Saturday, and 10pm on Sunday. Great gelato and sorbetto flavored, like black sesame, blackberries and cream, honeycrisp apple, lemon opal basil, and cantaloupe. Small (2 flavors) is $5.50, large (3 flavors) is $6.60. A pint is $10.50 and a push pop is $3. They also offer coppettas (gelato sundae) for $8. You can, of course, get a cup of coffee too. Espressos, nitros, iced coffee, etc. are all available here. They also carry Stumptown coffee beans and milk from the Perry brothers in York, PA for purchase. Compared to the other Dolcezzas, this location is relatively quiet and empty. Service is friendly and quick.

Dolcezza is DCs best gelato because the owners travel the world looking for the very best ingredients to put in their gelato. Because of that, they always have unique fresh gelato like black sesame (a personal favorite) and Thai coconut milk gelato. This location is one of the biggest locations right in DC City Center. Its open late and has enough seating and free wifi for the business traveler needing a place to work for the day. They also serve coffee and pastries and even have a bomb mocha made with Mast Brothers chocolate. Amazing! If its your first time, stick with the small because you get two sizable scoops. And dont be shy to ask to try every flavor if youre going to buy a cup!

This place does not like children. Nor do they believe in good customer service. Really horrible experience attempting to retrieve a lost toy. I actually wanted to purchase some gelato but no one seemed interested in taking my order. As I waited for the toy I called ahead to ensure was there, the manager on duty said to another employee that he "tossed that crap out days ago". They then proceeded to pretend to look and claimed it was taken to a storage unit. I dont expect any call to follow up, their disdain for children was palpable. I will never patronize this business again in my life, and I hope no one else with children ever tries them either.

VERY pleased that my fave "Eat Seasonally - Love Locally" gelati makers have opened shop at the new CityCentre location, sooo close to work! See my review of their Union Market Factory for more gushing (from me) about their yummy products and burgeoning business. I was truly in-luck this visit, as I also got the chance to catch up with the lovely owners, R & V, as they were visiting their newest venue. Mid-(summer)-workday break idea: Enjoy a Dolcezza affogato with your choice of a scoop of gelato, while taking in the sights of the new-ish CityCentre development/city-park with its chic water features and stone sculptures.

If you live every day with the tastes of a millionaire but the wallet of a nonprofit staffer, this place is for you. Nearly everything on the menu is <$10 and anything more than that is a brain freeze waiting to happen. Theyre constantly changing up their flavors and if youre in a rush you can even grab something from the fridge. The staff is nice, but young, and not particularly expedient, so prepare to wait.

Loved the Gelato. Though its not something new and different from what others in city have to offer yet the name of the store build over the years carry it forward. Really liked the ambiance in all of their stores. The Gelatos are high and you pay the price for it but you could distinguish all the subtle flavors in them. I visit them several times in a month to try everything they has to offer on the menu.

As someone who doesnt get a chance to get up here to DC very often this was a welcome little oasis to find as i wandered around the area. Staff are really friendly and the coffee and food is great! (I was suprised to find that their lemon poppy muffins were filled with lemon cream! It was a real treat to be suprised with!) If im in the area again i will definatly make another pit stop here in the future.

I love that this place is both classy and fancy while still maintaining a down to earth feel. The staff is so nice and helpful, whether youre stopping in for a quick espresso, or youre here to indulge your gelato craving. I ordered the iced coffee and can say its the absolute best Ive had in recent memory. Its strong and rich and a little touch of cream and sugar make it taste utterly divine.

Una heladeria bastante recomendable por sabor y tamaño, que no es el usual y excesivo tamaño americano. El precio es un tanto elevado y la variedad de sabores limitada.

Shrinking portions, mediocre service Maybe its the tourist volume, but this is the worst Dolcezza location. The place was dirty, water tap out of order, and the potions were smaller than Ive had anywhere else. I say this as a Dolcezza fan. I wont be back here. Better off ordering the mediocre desert in your restaurant. Youll have a better time.

An excellent choice for coffee and gelato. A good mix of classic and unique gelato flavors. Great service with plenty of help on hand. If you want just a small, they force two flavors on you, so youre committed to over $6. Very nice interior makes a great spot to hang out and chat, so you can get your moneys worth.

Elegant and clean decor, corteous staff, but the espresso (which I always drink black), although properly made didnt pass master, possibly because the coffee is too heavily roasted. By the way, the "ChemEx" flasks in the picture are really cool objects. I own one at home and use it every week for brunch.

Yeah, DCs best dessert. Top tier gelato made in the District. I always try to put fun combinations together. Right now my personal fave is peanut butter strachiatella and marscapone berry. Its the ice cream version of a peanut butter and jelly. Skip dessert wherever you are eating and just go here.

I got the dark chocolate gelato and the peaches and cream gelato. Even though the portion size is small, its filling with a lovely deep flavor. The black sesame gelato and the bananas foster gelato are also very good. On the pricey side, but this is a great place for an elegant treat.

Stopped by to try out the ice cream. The location is amazing and I loved that they have a unique selection of ice cream. It was delicious, but it didnt really taste like an actual gelato you could get in Italy. Still a nice place though and Id definitely go back!

They have some unique flavors but man is it overpriced. Its good but not great. Ive had ice cream just as good at random hole-in-the-walls for half the price and twice the portion. If you stop by, try the black sesame if youve never had it.

Theyve mixed too many flavors instead of standard flavors you have to choose lemon with a string taste of basil; salted caramel was the only flavor I liked and they hadnt mixed in other odd flavorings, but even that was sweeter than normal.

Came here too cool off after having steaming hot ramen on a hot day. We ended up getting a trio of Gelatos, and it was just what we needed . I prefer this location over the one on 14th Street, more spaces to sit and enjoy my Gelato.
