I am very disappointed regarding the need to write this review. I have been a proud and satisfied Johnny Janosik customer since 2002. Every sales rep has been extremely helpful and interested in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. Every piece of furniture purchased has always been beautiful and of high quality. However, Dec. 23 I picked up a gorgeous leather recliner with heat and massage. I paid a $1299.95 for what I thought was a top of the line recliner that would last for years. After having the recliner for a couple of weeks it started feeling like something was poking me in the right side of my back.(The massager was not on) Somewhat uncomfortable. On January 16 I contacted Janosiks because NOW it was very uncomfortable. On January 27th a representative was sent to look at the recliner. I did not hear from Janosiks for a couple of weeks so I had to contact them to find out what was going on. Their response was the person that came out was not from the store and was unable to detect my concern. I told them something is pressing me in my back like a shiatsu massager when the chair is not on. It started out on the right and now its the right and left. They told me they would send out someone from the store that would probably be able to detect the problem. That person came out on February 24th.The person who came out, was able to detect my problem, sat in the chair and stated 2 times, "I couldnt sit in this chair". I dont mean to throw him under the bus, however, he spoke the truth and I am trying to make my case. It is difficult to sit comfortably in this recliner. AS TIME GOES ON THE PRODDING IN THE BACK GETS WORSE. I contacted Janosiks on March 6th. I was told the Customer Care Manager said they thought they could insert additional padding, but that cant be done. Since the chair had been in my home so long the only thing they could do was take the chair back, charge me a restocking fee and give me a credit. I told the person I contacted Janosiks about my concern well within 30 days of having the chair. The Care Representative said she would relay the message to the Care Manager. The Care Manager said, defects or concerns must be reported within 72 hours. I did not have this problem within the first 72 hours. As time went on and the chair was sat in more, the prodding became more prevalent, detectable and uncomfortable. Thats why the second person to check the chair could find the problem and said he could not sit in it. I told them I did not want my money back, either another chair or a store credit. I think its unfair to take $389.98 from me because instead of 72 hours but within 23 days of having the $1299.95 chair problems began. The true length of the time the chair has been in my house with no resolution is due to the duration it took for 2 representatives to come out check the chair and for me to hear from Janosiks which after both visits I had to initiate the call to get a response. From January 16 to March 6th. I dont like writing this review, however it seems I am being forced to take a resolution in which I don’t think is right. I am strong in my belief that I should not be held accountable for a problem that did not begin until days after the 72 hours and the store cant fix it. This is unfortunate because, Janosiks has extremely high quality furniture, the sales representatives are knowledgeable and professional, the care representatives are courteous and deliveries have always been on time, with care and professionally. I will still give Janosiks a rating of 4 (thats because they are a little pricey). I will not let this one and only incident dictate how I really feel about this wonderful store. Out of frustration, when I spoke with the Care Representative, I stated I would no longer be a customer. However, I want to remain a customer in good standing with Johnny Janosiks. I pray this can be resolved differently. Update: This issue has been resolved. I will not be charged a restocking fee. Thank you Janosiks Customer Care---for caring for the customer. I will never buy furniture from this store ever again! I went to this place because someone suggested it, and I thought it would be a good idea to support the local businesses. I dont think Ill do it again for this company. The extra charges, lack of inventory, shady contract clauses, and low quality in their furniture, has driven me to stay away from this store. First of all, they take forever to deliver your items. It doesnt matter if you spend $100 USD or $10,000 USD. you still have to pay to have them delivered to your place. Many other furniture stores, they will include free delivery service with your purchase. Well, not this place. Second, just because they have lots of furniture on display, means that they will have it in storage. Wrong! Everything takes 4-6 weeks to have it delivered or upto 16 weeks if it is a special order (I do understand that). Many other stores can deliver all your furniture within a week, except for special orders. Third, not only will they charge you and take for ever to deliver the furniture but also, theyll make you sign paperwork that states that you accept all their terms and conditions. One of the clauses states that, you cannot return furniture without being penalized with a 30% restocking fee. Restocking fee??? They dont even have the furniture in storage!! Why do they charge you such amount if you want to cancel an order that you havent even received? I should have known better when they gave me the paperwork to sign. Unfortunately, their sales people know how to draw your full attention at this part of the deal. They will talk to you endlessly making you wish to get over with it and get out from there. Four, their customer service does not address problems promptly. We received ONE piece of furniture (total of FOUR) 10 days ago and it came damaged. I reported it the same day it was delivered and I havent gotten a response from them. I am afraid I will have to suck it up and live with the damaged piece. I just hope that the rest of the furniture doesnt come in the same way. If you read all this so far, I would suggest that you take your business somewhere else. There are many other stores that will be more than happy to deliver your purchase for free, will deliver your furniture in timely manner, wont make you sign any contracts, and will address your problems promptly. I wish, someone had pointed all this out to me before buying anything from this store.

My furniture was delivered on 7/16/16. First thing was the pillows that were delivered were not the pillow I ordered. Called my sales person and she told me to wait for a follow up call about my experience with my delivery and then notify them that the wrong pillows were sent. She said in the mean time she would send customer service an email. A few minutes after that, I decided to completely inspect my furniture. I found a hold in the arm of the chair. At this point I am pretty livid. I waited 2 1/2 months for my furnture. So I called my sales person again just to notify her of the hole. Again she told me to wait for my call from customer service. Well guess what, the call never came. Extremely iritated at this point. So I pick up the phone and call CS only to be told that I would have to deal with my sales rep. I stated that I already did and she referred my to you. She asked me if I wanted to speak to a sales manager, and I said ok. Spoke with the sales manager and explained the situation and he told me that I need to take it up with CS, but he would also send them an email. This was all within 2 hours of receiving my furniture. On Sunday I sent CS an email expressing my disatisfaction of how my situation as been handled and that no one is taking ownership of my issue. Here it is Monday morning...still no phone call or email. I am tired of the run around!! Very poor customer service from all the people I have spoken with. I just want my piece of furniture replaced!!
