This has been my experience at this dealership, I would like to share with all those willing to listen. For the last week Ive been in contact with Heather at Wallingford and she has been incredibly helpful and polite. I dont live in Connecticut but I made an appointment for the following Saturday and took a little road trip over. My sales associate with Dan Roberts. He was polite during the test drive but the actual car buying process was full of dealer tricks and stress. Ive purchased plenty of cars in the past and Ive never had a dealership constantly pull so many "by the book" dealer tricks. Please do your research before coming here, there are tons of really helpful car buying guides to avoid these. Let me start off by saying that they didnt even own the title, no one explained this to me before driving over a hundred miles into their spider web. They started by printing a low-ball KBB pricing for my trade in. I had the KBB website in front of me and the fake KBB paper they printed was over a thousand dollars lower. Just because theres the KBB logo on it, doesnt mean its the actual pricing of your trade in. Please be warned and check this yourself! I talked the price up and they were doing me a huge favor, it was still at least 500 under the KBB fair trade in value. The purchase order was also a mess. They threw in "optional" items such as a VIN number etching service for $180. The VIN etching kit can be purchased for 20$ and installed by any garage if you really want it. Its not necessary, they feed you a line such as "Your insurance will go down if you have this on your windows". I called my insurance, Liberty Mutual, and they said that they dont provide such discounts. Even if your insurance does, please dont let them tag on all these optional prices. I know this is common knowledge but read the contract carefully, they dont tell you when they put all these on there. Financing was non-existent. I work full time in my career but I carry quite a bit of college debt as well as some credit cards I used for school books and emergencies. It was a bit hard for me to find myself financing. For weeks Ive called multiple lenders and sources to see if I can find a loan. During this time, I called and emailed Wellingford, asking for assistance on this matter. I explained to them that I would really appreciate some assistance finding a loan. I was told "You should start making phone calls to your bank" and then no responses for days. I never got an email back and every time I called the direct line, I was ignored. The only time I had someone answer was when I called the main office and waiting on hold. Ive never actually had to ask to help buy a car. Finally, I got a hold of Ron Jackson, the manager. I explained to them that I was incredibly frustrated and no one was helping me with any loan assistance. That I cant find a loan on my own and because of this, I would like my deposit back. He immediately responded with that hell send me my deposit back in a check and then hung up. He didnt know my name or ask for my mailing address. So I called back immediately and talked to the women at the front desk. I wasnt in their computer nor was she even aware that I requested my deposit back. What makes it worst is that I called that following Monday and was transferred back to Dan. He then said he wasnt aware that I was getting the deposit back and that hell send it out as soon as he can. How many times would I need to request my own deposit back for them to actually send it back to me? A better question is, how many times do you need to constantly badger someone for help and be ignored? Ive received my deposit. I honestly thought they were going to say it was lost in the mail while never actually sending it to me. Please be warned. This is my experience and I know I will never recommend anyone to come here. My family will be purchasing their cars far away from this place in the future. I hope all these positive reviews arent all purchased from websites. Thank you for listening

After at least 4 months of researching on my own as to what to do with my 2005 4Runner that I purchased in Middletown in 2006, I really didnt think I could financially afford anything in comparison to what Ive had all these years! Sam Sipes and Isaac Cardona comfortably assured me via phone and text that it was more than possible without sacrificing what I was looking for! Within 24 hours of first contact, I came in and spoke with Isaac who was patiently waiting just minutes before their closing time because it was the best time for my schedule. He picked up very quickly what I wanted and could afford without all the extra b.s. or lean towards trying to talk me into anything different. Within an hour or two, the test drive, explanation of the car inside and out, budget discussion and signing of the car was made! :-) The quickness of the transaction was not because he was trying to sell me the car, but more because he genuinely listened to what I said the first time I said it whether it was a want or a concern, and still delivered it all in a package that was too good to even fight on! Im one to do all my research on something prior to a decision and just get to the basics. Isaac multitasked everything for me in the perfect speed so not to waste either of our time! He always made sure better than I did that he thoroughly answered all of my questions. As tired as I was none of it was ever overwhelming and as disorganized as I felt, I was very comfortable being so at this dealership. The fact that I was missing a lot of paperwork needed and they helped me through how to go about it all made me even happier that I chose Toyota again, and this particular branch!! (I was not planning on making a decision in one day!) The entire experience from start to finish was so reassuring and a no brainer for me. Not to mention as soon as I sat in the 2017 Highlander, I knew I was driving away with it!! Leasing is new to me as well and a very stressful thought process until everything was explained to me by Robert in the way needed to not feel like in 3 years I will be surprised on things I didnt know. Toyota cars easily sell themselves, but the person behind the sell definitely seals the Deal!!! I could not be happier for sticking with Toyota, and it will be Wallingford dealership for my services from here on! And if anyone read this far.....Sarah Lea is the best! I love that they were dog friendly!!!!!! My pup of 10 years who has only known my other Toyota since I adopted her, got to test drive with me and everything! A definite additional selling point! Thanks!!!!:-)

We are very pleased with the Toyota of Wallingford dealership and I purchased my RAV4 here. The Service Dept is excellent and exceptionally friendly. In addition my partner has a Sienna. We drove to Wallingford on Saturday May 26 because we are both interested in trading our cars in for a Prius. Either the C or the next size up with all the extras- GPS, moonroof. We are both moving to Florida. Sienna owner at end of June and I am moving end of year and it makes more sense to wait till we move because we dont want to get stuck pay double car tax or something. However we were very interested having never looked inside, driven, or sat in a Prius before. Rick Gary approached us in the salesroom We had to ask to see the inside of a Prius which we picked out at random since he did not really explain the differences in any of them. He walked back and got a key for one and we looked inside and were very impressed and are positive we want a Prius. We are thinking maybe a C, which we realize we would have to order, but also like the Standard Prius too. Any information we found out was from us asking him and not him telling us. At one point I asked him if he was a salesman since I was thinking maybe all the others were busy and he was just helping out but worked there at another capacity. By this time our enthusiasm had died down. I mean I dont like a hard sell but I do like to at least someone to make an effort. It was like pulling teeth to get any information from him We walked back to the salesroom with him so he could check and see if any Prius Cs would be in next week . At this time he just kind of walked off and did not leave us his card [which we did not want anyway]. Someone in the sales room told us the C would be in next week but we did not leave our name and number because at this point, we think we will just wait till we move. Let me state again, that we are pleased with Toyota Wallingford and have had excellent service there. The only bad experience was with this salesman who does not appear to have the pesonality or knowledge to be a salesman. Maybe he was just having a bad day but he certainly was not all that interested in selling us 2 Priuses and having a 2006 Sienna and a 2007 Rav4 in trade.
