Im an Indian student doing my Phd in USA. My experience shopping in Target (Hawley Lane Mall) was appalling. On July 20th, I was shopping for some essentials and had some time before the next bus departed. After quickly gathering a gallon of milk and other stuff from all corners of the shop I headed to the Mens apparel section. As I did not want to lug around the basket, I kept it next to me on the floor while selecting some jeans. Apparently the dimwit monitoring the security cam thought I was a threat and had some staff sent to my location. There, this lady/staff was checking me out from a distance while Im shopping (I was the only one in the Mens section at that time and could clearly hear the speaker phone blaring about an emergency security alert in the mens section). No one approached me or asked if it was my basket. (It should have been pretty clear as I was the only one standing there). Then while I was in the fitting room trying on my clothes - the staff decided to reshelf all my stuff including my coffee roll from Dunkin Donuts which was in the basket. On my return I was astonished to see my shopping basket missing. Upon enquiry the same lady/staff informed me that all the stuff had been re-shelfed and that I would have to go get them again. As I was pressed for time I had to redo my shopping and also found my coffee roll had been opened and pawed by the same dimwits who work in Target. All they had to do was to be a little courteous and ask me if it was my shopping basket or atleast inform me to take it with me. I guess this sort of things are to be expected when you hire low IQ morons for $10/hour pay. To conclude - Im never going to shop in that store again and would advise other shoppers to avoid such a bad experience. (Maybe things would have been different if I was a white...) sincerely A K

I normally choose to not discuss RACISM . Because I myself have all types of friends & my family is very blended. But yesterday I had an experience I will never forget and it gave me a clear REALITY CHECK. I will never step foot in another TARGET especially the one on Hawley Lane in Trumbull CT . Yesterday I went to purchase an extra controller. Because my sons father got him a PS4 for his birthday. & I wanted to be able to play with him. Now when I purchased the controller all Im looking to make sure is it goes to the game I have. I get home and open it and Im immediately pissed off. The joy sticks looked chewed on , it doesnt even turn on . The controller is dirty and just all around a clearly USED controller. Now I send his father back to return it & they tell him . They would never sell something like that and theres nothing they can do for him. So I myself return to the store and received some of the WORST customer service EVER . I was speaking with a manager named SAM. (he is a white man with glasses and tattoos on his arms) Now even though I was pissed off I spoke to him with respect and calmly explained my issue. He smiles in my face and proceeds to tell me that he will not take the controller back. That I need to contact the manufacturer . No apology, no nothing for my inconvenience. So Im a little annoyed but still controlling myself trying to gain clarity. The next thing out of his mouth almost made me cry . " Im not giving you anything miss. YOU PEOPLE always come in here trying to get over. Im sick of it so why dont you go where you belong "

This is the worst Target in the area. It is rather dirty and hardly ever seems to restock. There is an assistant manager lady that glares at me evilly ever time I shop there (I wonder if it is the same woman the other reviewer mentions). She follows me and mutters under her breath and also never seems to wear a nametag. I wonder if she is trying to protect herself from getting in trouble for harassing the customers. If it wasnt for customers there would be no Target and no job for this woman. I for one seldom shop here because of her. Nanoo, nanoo.

Used my price scanner app and showed the manager that I found items on line and in store cheaper, and he wouldnt honor it because it wasnt from theyre tablet which they claim is target. com! Showed him my phone which started target 0. miles and online and it didnt matter! In fact he also stated they can have different prices at different stores and wont honor the cheaper price for the same item! Yet they claim theyll honor competitors prices BS!!!

I called to see if you had hula hoops for a project - I was told yes you did by the employee that answered the phone. My son went to buy them only to find you did not have them. I called to ask what had happened and was told by the girl who answered that you didnt have any and to have a nice day. No apology no nothing - very poor service

love this place, kids love this place too. from clothes to electronics this company created its name and reputation very well. target also sell its own brand, which is cheaper than the original brands and somehow they are equal or better in quality.

There are two Target stores in Trumbull, this one has lower prices. There are less people, but also a little less in terms of selection (but this is minimal). If its raining, dont forget about the parking garage around the back.

Never shop at this target! I had the most unprofessional experience with the employees and the managers are very young and seem like they dont know much.
