Lazy managers working on 11/7/14, 1pm-1:19pm. Im in town on business and popped over for some essentials (4 items). Took me about 5min to find what I needed but took me close to 15min to check out. Why? Of the 10 lanes present only 2 were open and neither were "express" lanes. There were, however, 2 managers standing right behind me talking about fantasy football. After a while the lines started to lengthen as more and more customers with less than 10 items found themselves locked in lines behind people with 20+ items but the 2 managers kept talking to each other instead of stepping in to alleviate the congestion. When asked if one of them could open the express lane the one without a name badge directed me to the line I had just stepped out of. Eventually a young woman walked over and opened a 3rd lane (not an express lane) which helped alleviate the flow but the managers just kept talking about trivialities. I hope I have no further need to shop there during my business trip but, unfortunately, it seems to be the only place in the area that carries basic groceries.

All employees need to mind their own business while I am shopping. I will continue to be a loyal customer. Will never go to the Pharmacy. Told me my insurance wanted me to come back in three weeks-mentioned a mans name he doesnt want you to receive. Went to CVS pescription was filled and the staff earned my respect. Rude comments, harassment-I even go to self check out and they skeevy watch over me. we (stalkers). All I can suggest is when they are trained from the start get them started customer service GOOD. As for the store Loved it 5 STARS. I will continue going Shopping! TARGET IS A GREAT STORE.

I live in downtown Stamford. The only reason I visit this Target store is because of location. REALLY BAD Cashier staff!!!! They usually throw stuff into the bag. Be alert, the cashier sometimes put your stuff in so many bags, and they forget to give them to you. It happened to me that my stuff was put in the bag of the next customer. I never had such bad shopping experiences at Target somewhere else. This Stamford Target is the worst!!! I believe the management in this store are horrible! The staff dont care about customers and their attitudes are bad! Do not recommend this store at all!!!!

Overall its same as any other target but the management doesnt have customer service in their priority list. 1. Since the have the so called Self Checkout kiosks that hardly work, they have extremely reduced the number of employees on checkout causes long lines. 2. The managers favorite phrase to customers, "Sorry the system doesnt allow me to help you". They also lie that they are the highest manager on duty even when they are not. 3. They need to go back to how they used to be few years ago.

This particular target is "OK." It has two levels and relatively ample space, but it easily fills up. They arent well stocked and dont seem to have a lot of stuff here, especially grocery related. The worst part is checkout as they seem to only have 1-3 people open at a time. Two floors with two separate check outs and they never manage to have more than 3 lanes open. I have tried going at all hours of the day (morning, afternoon, evening, and night) and its the same all times of day.

The store is right in downtown which makes it reachable for Stamford residents. The maintenance and presentation is very good. There is Starbucks and Pizza hut for food and you name a item and the store had it but less options for vegetables and fruits.There are excellent thanks giving day sale and on any special day like Easter , Halloween. There is payable parking area adjacent to the store. I love the store very much.

There aren’t many in the area, and I am glad that one is the one that I use to do my shopping, clean and organized, with helpful staff. What I like about target is that you can find almost everything you need in one place, and if you are not picky, you will find great deals. Not that great: Pay for parking. I never got the idea of paying for parking when you come for shopping. Besides that, Target is great for shopping.

Target...loved it when the store first opened. Now its just another frustrating shopping experience. Theyre usually out of something you need when you go. The pharmacy sale to CVS was a pure shame; at one time Target Pharmacy was the anti-CVS. Repeated inventory issues and the pharmacy change resulted in more business with Amazon and an online pharmacy named Pillpack. I only go to Target if absolutely necessary. Too bad.

Two story high Target in downtown Stamford with a wide selection. Also includes a full grocery store with great prices. The store is clean and well organized with a friendly staff. The store is always very crowded with long lines that do seem ro move along quickly. Parking is an hourly fee base even if you make purchases which is a negative...they should offer free parking with a twenty dollar or more purchase.

Very poor management. The management should be replaced. I have been to this Target very many times and others through-out NY and California and have never had a problem. This has to be the worst manager by far. This should be addressed as they do not understand what customer service is. Have spent a lot of mony in this Target and will never go back because of our horrible experience with the Management.

Pros: its convenient in the heart of downtown Stamford. Great hours. Used to be a great experience. Cons: the grocery section is inept. Replenishment is a joke and it feels like something from the Soviet Union, circa 1985. Milk case is usually empty and hasnt been cleaned. A significant portion of the shelf-space is empty. Summary: Great possibilities, HORRID Management (STL/ASTL)

This is a very poorly run target. I went to do an in-store pick up for an online order, the very friendly person there could not find my order in either pick-up location (one is on the other side of the store and takes about 10 minutes to check), so I had to go find the items on the shelves and bring them back for her to ring me up.

Its a great store if youre visiting from out of state you may have to get used to the parking deck downstairs and the store is upstairs. Cashiers on the second level is kind of low but you can always take your stuff downstairs and pay for it where there are more cashiers and plus a self checkout lines or downstairs

Not enough cashiers and same issue like other customers cashier put small items in a bag and left it behind register and never handed it to me cost me $20.00 by the time I noticed missing items when I got home. Not to concern with bagging items there and high priced parking $5.00 less than a hour shopping

The sit down eatery needs to be redone,its drabby and not the cleanest it could be. However the guy who works in the Starbucks section is very friendly and professional! The other side that serves pizza, that should be closed down. What happened? It used to be so nice a few years ago.
