Not the best service by the owner of the shop. I was new to the area. I asked him if they price match to there competitor in West Hartford (New England Cycle) since I lived around the area. He said he does but he would have to call them him self to verify the price of the item. I was in the market for new tires for my R1. Well West Hartford had a deal $150 for rear Michelin tires. Once the owner called to verify the sale and the style of the tire, he got off the phone and said he wont price match for the low price. And the way he said it was rude. (I think its bull since he went back on his word). So I said I understand. I asked him if he could work with me and give me a deal since he couldnt price match. He said that he couldnt do anything for me. (Then why would he say that they do price match if you cant do anything for me?). Now its been 2 years since this issue and I havent went back to buy parts for my bike! I hope your reading this you cheap (bast er ed.) BTW my girl and I are getting brand new Yamaha R1 and she getting an R6. I will not shop with you any more! You see what happens when you give crappie customer service! Jerk

These guys ..,not so good. I seem to get the idea that they try to make money through ripping people off as opposed to developing a beloved customer base. Latest experience...they tried to charge me $80 for a replacement key...when I asked if they were joking I was told $50 is the complete price. Now since they were on the "hill" by KFC, in 1984 , I have bought 3 bikes, so why complain? The sales were good and the bike prices dealership fare. It is the service prices that are bizarre. Last year I was quoted well over $300 above the cost for buying and putting on two tires. Now the key. I gave a dealer in Newhaven my vin number and personal info. They looked up the key # and quoted me $14..plus the shipping , I am getting a key for one third the price of what I was offered from where I bought my bike. You decide...great show room , great bikes. Service...HA.

This pass weekend I picked up my new Yamaha R3. This is my 4th motorcycle purchase at Stamford Motorsports since 2006. I choose SMS because of its great sales, parts and service departments. Sales rep Chris is always helpful and informative. He simplifies the buying experience while making it fun and memorable. Hes truly on top of his game and a class act. Anytime I visit SMS, their hospitality is sincere and welcoming. I considered myself very particular and exacting with my motorcycles and trust SMS when its time for service. Things are always made clear with no surprises. Its been this consistent for the 10 years Ive done business with them. When I decide to buy my next motorcycle or Powersport, SMS is the best choice.

The sales experience was what youd expect at any dealership. They have a decent variety for bikes and accessories. I did not however, like their parts and service wings (you need that after you buy the bike hmmm). It almost feels like you are doing them a favor by walking into the store so you can give them money to do things for you. Parts are definitely overpriced, their attitude is rude but trying to be nice. They have a hard time understanding that they did something wrong - eg: scratches on my bike and a burnt bag, to be fixed with added labor. There may be a few decent folks there but Im gonna go out of my way to not deal with them. Ill just have to find a new store in New Haven or around Westchester.

Worst customer service I couldve ever imagined. I bought two bikes from this dealership. A 2013 Yamaha Zuma 50F and a brand new 2013 Yamaha V star 250 both were paid in cash. When I needed to check a mechanical problem on my brand new 2013 Yamaha V Star 250 that I bought three months ago, Mike the manager mechanic gave me an attitude for asking the difference between dealership warranty and factory warranty. I was thinking of doing a check up on the motorcycle, but I said no because he was rude and disrespectful. Dont be fooled by their superficial appearance(sale representatives), they only want your money and if they have to sweet talk they will.

Ive been a customer of Stamford Motorsports for well over 10yrs. Recently Stamford Motorsports has been servicing my Vespa(Which they are not a certified dealer). The Service has been the best and most efficient that I have ever experienced. The knowledge and attention to detail with my vehicle has been above and beyond. Not only do I have my Yamaah FZ1 Serviced (which I bought through Stamford Motorsports), but now I can have my Vespa serviced. Stamford Motorsports builds a relationship with their customer and they dont just treat us like we are a one off transaction. Great Experience, as always.

A VETERAN FRIENDLY DEALERSHIP An OUTSTANDING bunch of guys! Purchased a 2014 Honda CTX700 a couple of years ago and just a week ago traded that in for my new 2016 Yamaha FJR1300ES. All, but especially Ken & Dan that attended to my wife and I, were courteous, patient and very attentive. Most of all they along with the Manager, Chris, recognized and worked with me for being a Veteran. Will definitely deal with them in the future and will let all my VETERAN and MILITARY contacts aware of their great service and appreciation for us Vets. Thank you, good luck and keep up the great work.

I had my bikes taken to STAMFORD MOTORSPORTS this past week! I almost got taken for a ride! They wanted to charge me $1400 for carb cleaning gas drain and another cleaning on one bike, and 1000 on another for Carb cleaning and gas draining. That is absolutely ridiculous of a price for this type of work. It takes about two hours to clean both carbs on one bike. At most the price should have been $500! I have absolutely no idea where they got $1400 to do this work. I think someone fell and bumped their head that morning!

I searched all over Long Island for a CBR250r ABS and couldnt find one below MSRP without hidden fees. I expanded my search by calling various shops and found Stamford Motorsport. Stamford Motorsport sold me my ride for $4200. I chose to pay the tax, tag, and title at my local DMV. Also bought an Arai helmet that cost less than what I can get from ordering online. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. The only sad part is that they are too far from where I live for me to become a frequent customer.

Walked in with a Big smile on my face,10minutes in show room, still, no help, I got an email hoping that would help me out as far as feeling invited. They didnt even know it was sent to me. They "ALL" Stereo typed me as soon as I walked in. I had pocket full of money, an a bank account, backing me up. Because I walked there hoping to drive home. Naa, walked out wont return ever. Smile gone. Bad taste stayed. Many, many others will know of this. I promise you.
