June, 2015 - The 2 stars may be high, but everyone in the place seemed helpful. Unfortunately, after three days in a hotel waiting, and $258 later, they were still unable to diagnose the problem beyond "we may have to tear down the engine and replace the head gaskets..." I called some friends in the Gold book and they suggested I check the Radiator Cap. While I had requested the mechanic to that, he did not have the equipment to pressure test a cap or the cooling system! Whats up with that? Powersport shops are not required to have all the equipment for each brand of bike they service. Only Honda PowerHouse dealers have all the equipment to properly maintain and service your Honda. Maverix Motorsports, in Middletown, NY, just 50 miles west is such a place. After I paid Danbury Powersport $250+, I went down the street to AutoZone and bought a radiator cap for less than $10. Then drove to Middletown and had Maverix check it out. They pressure tested the original cap - it was bad. The new cap tested fine, and their cooling system test indicated no additional problems. Time wasted, money wasted, all because Danbury didnt have the equipment, and didnt have a $10 part on hand to replace what I ask them to check in the first place.

We got on the media hype train about Hurricane Irene and called around to find a Honda generator to power our sump pump. The $1149 pricetag was a lot, but we figured if wed be spending the money anyway, might as well make it one that we could take camping with us, too, so we opted for the EU2000i. Luckily, this place was supposed to be receiving a shipment the day before Irene hit. When we went to go pick it up, they told us there was an extra $250 fee! $50 for a "setup fee" and $200 for registration, since its a "vehicle!" This thing is only 47 lbs, and can be carried around easily. How was this a vehicle and what was there to setup, exactly? They said they would waive the fees if we paid in cash, but not expecting to have to pay for it with case, there was no way for us to get that kind of cash in time. I spoke with someone in sales FIVE times before deciding to reserve this one and at NO TIME did any mention of paying in cash OR of extra fees come up. Im terribly disappointed this dealership chose to jerk us around and take advantage of us during a time of need. I will definitely be telling people to steer clear of this place!

i would just like to say i have delt with many dealerships in my lifetime and i would just like to say this establishment goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and get me what i need with the upmost importance as fast as they can. The courtesy and professionalism that this establishment provides makes me keep my faith in these types of business... They have been nothing but helpful and make getting the materials i need for my machines the easiest i have ever had to deal with... i honestly feel like they care about the well being of my machines like they were there own... I highly recommend this place for service parts and new sales. I have done thousands of dollars of business with them and i would never shop elsewhere this gentleman, and ladies take pride in what they do.... my hat is tipped to them on the service, and moral. They provide what i have needed to me a happy customer, Danbury powers sports are the honest they have very competitive pricing. deal with these people, I assure you that you will not be disappointed, I wish i could give them 10 stars!!!!

Review overdue: Ill go in order of first interaction to most recent. 10 being best, 1 being worst. Buying Experience-8.5(bought brand new) Sales Associate-9(Matt Garcia) matched price of other dealer, wasnt pushy, or pressuring. Listened to what I wanted and provided honest feedback. Customer Service-9 Service Center-10 & 10. Straight solid. Ask for Tony. Brotha knows his stuff and helped me turn my already beastly DR650 into a bigger beast. Selection-8(licensed dealer thus expected) Some Italian bikes traded in for ex. Might come in. General Staff/Employees-10 Overall I am extremely satisfied with Danbury Powersports. From first impression to present day. I am looking forward to purchasing another bike from them as well as growing my relationship. I have little doubts my initial opinion and perception will change. Thank you Danbury Power Sports for being true. Dont change. ~Giz

Great dealership in general, but particularly great service department! I have know brought all of my machines in for all different types of work, they have a huge amount of knowledge and very fair prices I drive by at least 5 other dealerships just for their knowledge and helpfulness. They were very helpful with my Kawasaki Mule even though they arent a Kawasaki dealer, with out any promises they were willing to give it a look and with their knowledge and experience were able to solve my idling problem(at no charge in the parking lot near closing time on a Friday night with the unit still on the trailer). This is only one example of how they have helped me over the last year or so and every time I bring in a machine the are quick, fair, careful, and do a great job.

I traded my 2006 Harley Davidson Sportster for a Suzuki DR-Z400sm. Got a great deal on the bike. Extended warranty. I am very happy with my purchase. Matt was a very helpful salesman! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great motorcycle and great service. I also am familiar with the repair manager Tony who has fixed my atv whenever there was something wrong with it for a very reasonable price. I know the marine mechanic Joey personally he was one of my friends growing up. Danbury Powersports is definately one of the best shops in Connecticut. 5 stars.

I have never written a review before, but I feel compelled to following my experience at Danbury Motorspots today. I called them to see if they had a particular part in stock. The clerk told me he had it in hand and gave me a description. It was exactly what I was looking for. When I got there, not only was the part nowhere to be found, but another clerk refused to get the clerk I spoke with to figure out where the disconnect was. He just kept looking in his computer and telling me that they dont have the part. The service is aweful.

Have to say this place annoyed me I went in there to buy a brand new ATV the South Bend sat there talking on the phone to a friend but was blah blah blah blah blah well I patiently waited for assistance when he finally hung up the phone he got up put his jacket on and I thought he was going to come over today but he turned around and walked out of the shower room at that point after waiting almost a half an hour for someone to help me I turned around and left . I purchased my ATV elsewhere.

Loved my experience. Ive always used them for parts but when it came time for me to buy a new bike this was my first stop. I got a great quote right off the bat, no nonsense. I still called a couple other dealers in CT to shop a little and Danbury Powersports worked with me to make sure I got the deal I wanted because I believe in buying local. I was treated very well and all of the staff was knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend checking this store out.
