This review is about my outstanding experience at Connecticuts Own Volvo in Milford. I currently drive a rare V60 R-Design, 6-Cylinder, Polestar Engine Chipped, 337 HP, 2015 Volvo. My lease is up in 3 months and my wife and I spent a Saturday test driving all of the competitive cars in our price point. We visited Executive Dodge & Jeep, Toyota of Wallingford, Executive Acura and Jaguar of Hartford and had wonderful “no-pressure” experiences with each salesperson. I have been leasing for over 20 years and we conduct this Saturday test drive as a standard practice prior to looking for a new vehicle. Therefore, we know the drill…we walk in, ask for a salesperson, provide them with our drivers licenses (we understand that they need a copy while we are out testing the vehicle for liability purposes) and I take the vehicle out my wife drives the vehicle back. Then we discuss what we thought on the way to the next dealership. The choices are narrowed down and I connect with eh salesperson thereafter. We had a terrible experience at Gengras Volvo of North Haven, the salesperson and the business manager would not let us test drive their vehicle because I wouldn’t give them my telephone number. How ridiculous. In this era of identity fraud and gorilla marketing, there is no reason that to test drive their vehicle, I should have to give them my telephone number only for them to harass me to purchase a vehicle from their dealership….no way, no how. However, this past Saturday we finally got to drive the Volvo we wanted to at “Connecticut’s Own Volvo” in Milford and wow what a refreshing difference. I had both my wife and college aged daughter with me and I was grateful of the no pressure pitch. The salesman actually allowed my wife and I to take the vehicle for an extended period and you know what I think we found our dealership. As I drive my current Volvo and hopefully my next one, I will certainly recommend Connecticuts Own Volvo in Milford and a salesperson named Evan Penchuk……wonderful job Evan, the dealership is lucky to have you.

This is my second encounter with volvo of milford and the level of customer service is horrible. My first experience was in person i walked pass the mazda section of the dealership and was immediately greeted by a salesperson who was ready to help me. Unfortunately I was looking for information on volvos. He was still willing to help and walked me to the door. (Nice guy) but when i walked in i was in the showroom looking at cars for about 20min undisturbed by anyone ...? So i waited and then I went back to mazda and asked if anyone was there . We walk back in and he brought me up to the general manager . Who seemed to be very unwilling to answer any of my questions about the product and during the conversation about used cars he just pointed in the direction of the used verses new cars . I was ready to buy or lease a volvo that day in milford . It felt like pulling teeth talking to him . I walked out and bought a volvo elsewhere. Fast forward to today 7/28/15 i call for a part from the parts dept and i ask for my part and the parts rep again seem unwilling to help . He gives me the price tells me it has to be prepaid and then asks me if i still want it . All before he asks for my vin # to find the actual part. He was very rude and abrupt and thats no way to treat customers that want the product . Im glad i hung up and called VOLVO OF WESTPORT . AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Not so much at volvo of milford ...

Just terrible. Although the service staff were friendly, I am dissatisfied with the services rendered. We have a S60 with just over 20,000 miles and have had to put coolant in twice. The first was only 5 days after the first service (10,000 miles) and we were told that all fluids were filled - maybe coolant is not considered a fluid? The second was before the second service was scheduled and we again had to add for ourselves. After asking if there is something wrong, we were told that this just happens with Volvo cars but no offer to check if anything was wrong. When the service was complete, I was given the key and I expected the car to be out front. It was not and I had to track down an employee in the parking lot (who was very friendly) and he proceeded to click the "alarm" button till we found my car. At which point I noticed that it was not washed - but maybe they dont consider that a standard service for a "luxury" car? Overall friendly people but little service. (Two stars only because the staff was nice)

Let me tell you about my horrible service experience. I went to this dealership to make an appointment for my 2016 Volvo XC90. I walked into the service department and stood there for about 10 minutes without anyone noticing me. I heard and seen the service advisors laughing and joking around in the service managers office that is right behind their desks. after that 10 minutes I leaned against the counter and tried to get someones attention and not one person came in. I quickly left and brought my brand new car to another service center for repairs.I definitely do not recommend this terrible service department to anyone. One star is being very generous for this experience.

Called to get an estimate for work on an 04 S60 to see if it is worth fixing and the service department never picked up the phone the first time I called . Finally got through to service and was rudely told that the diagnostic code done by a very reputable foreign motor specialist would not be acceptable and that a new diagnostic would have to be run ( at my expensive of course) then they could give me an estimate. Really how sad , Im looking at buying a new car within the two years .. I will not be fixing or purchasing anything from this dealership!

The people and service ROCKS! I would recommend it to everyone. Very professional and very effective. They really work with their customers to achieve the best results in the same time trying to keep costs reasonable. You get updated on everything; what has been done, what they recommend, what they will do. If you have warranty on the car, they will contact and deal with them. There is no stone on the road that they wont turn to find the best solution. Service - price balance is given. I am amazed and love it!

From the moment I shook hands with Tim Nagy, to the final signings of the papers only days later, my experience was smooth. Simple is another word I would use. No hassle, no pressure, just honesty and willingness to get the job done for me. I appreciated this. What brought me in was an online posting with a below market rate on the car I was looking for. Found a couple cosmetic issues with the car and a very low battery, Tim took the costs of those items off the list price, we made a deal. Im a happy customer.
