I have been going to this store for many years and while it has gotten much better in recent years it has done down hill in the past 2 years. Items you need are rarely in stock and if you ask an employee when it will be in they just shrug their shoulders or give a date but it never gets in. I literally went there the other day and every item I needed was either out of stock or the ones available were damaged. I dont understand how a store can continually allow returns of opened and damaged items or leave damaged items on the shelf like some one is going to purchase them and count them as acceptable stock. They tape back together returns and put them 3-4 deep on a shelf so you have to pull all the crap used ones out and get a brand new one in the back. I finally gave up the other day and went all the way to milfords home depot and what a difference. The store is well stocked and everything you need is there, a completely different experience. Management seriously needs to re-evaluate their inventory control system, its my only complaint. I dont need help when I come in the door, or help finding anything, I know this stores layout better than the employees do. Take that greeter that has a completely useless job at the front door and put him to work on the shelves so we dont have to waste our time continuously driving around to stores to find items. These stores wonder why sites like amazon kill them in business, its very obvious! Clean up your act home depot! The moment someone gets wise enough and puts a Lowes in Fairfield you guys are going to lose a lot of business.

I came to the store tonight after being directed by Norwalk Home Depot to get flooring that they ran out of. They said the Fairfield store has 27 bundles of the type of floor I wanted. Long story short, I came in and looked for someone to help. A lady working in the flooring department said "we dont have that floor in stock" and quickly left not even trying to help. I got VERY upset and called the Norwalk store to express my frustrations. Once again they assured me Fairfield has that flooring so I decided to look for some else as I had a feeling the woman just didnt want to help. I have to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT AND THANK YOU to Mr. REGGIE AND MR. ANTHONY LOPEZ!!! They quickly went to work to try and help, long behold REGGIE found the flooring I was looking for and quickly grabbed MR. ANTHONY LOPEZ to operate a fork lift and bring the flooring down. I am so impressed by their services that I had to write this review because I am extremely happy! THANK YOU REGGIE from FAIRFIELD HOME DEPOT! 5 stars!

They have no stock! And they put things on sale then when they run out the manager tried to sell me a different model. They refused free shipping even though Lows had the same product shipped free. I bought my other construction needs somewhere else and passes on the offer. Then SAME thing happened when I went to buy granite countertop.again nobody was working during their 10% off sale!!!!! When I went back the next day the sale was over and even after I told them what happened w this and the applied cell all.in the spam of the same weekend they said there was nothing they could do and again offered a more expensive product!!!!! Bait n switch!!! This is very shmucky behavior!!!

So I go to the store to buy equipment to be delivered and the day before the delivery I never get a phone call to schedule the delivery. So I call the delivery company they have no record of this. What can HD do to make this a better situation? Answer is NOTHING. I was treated awful. I was put on hold by 4 different associates, but the 5th one was a charm and went above and beyond. Lastly a manager told me there was a computer glitch which does happen I get it but not when I paid for my merchandise in full there was no glitch then HaHa. Anyway HD just lost a huge client and again nothing was done to make the customer happy. Not even a sorry.

This is one ROTTEN Home Depot store. They sold us a Cub Cadet lawn vacuum, which was quite expensive, whose vacuum hose tore after a couple of uses, and the store manager would not accept it for refund or exchange, citing an ultra-short warranty period due to the fact it is "gasoline-powered", they only allow refunds/returns for 30-days. When we bought it, we were told one year, or you could buy and extended warranty which was too costly. The store manager, Jack Cruz, did not care, and when we reported the matter to Home Depot Customer Service, they would not even answer. Real jerks. Liars and jerks.

Associates not helpful. Store layout is bad. "Deals" are pitiful. "Was $19.85 now $19.83!" Lumber resembles hockey sticks. Many open boxes filled with shady returned items. Filled with yuppies. I drive out to lowes instead. Worth the gas money every time. Also, their paint is horrific. Its runny garbage thats way overpriced. I get paint that a million times better for half price at painters supply. Dont go there unless you are a yuppie. If you are, please keep going there so the rest of us dont have to deal with you.

Service with a smile. A two week old Lawn Tractor I bought from Kings Highway Home Depot broke. Home Depot took it back and refunded easily & immediately. But better... Their staff educated me on Good, Better and Best Lawn Tractors. I drove home with a different Lawn Tractor and a smile. Thank You Kings Highway Home Depot.

whatever you do dont buy appliances here. They will want nothing to do with problems, resolving problems, or helping. Sears sends Simone to you house for repairs. I spent $1000 dollars on a dishwasher(Samsung) after replacing a 20years old one yhat worked and had nothing but problems. Home Depot couldnt care less!

They have a lot to choose from. There were several employees in the aisles to help point me in the right direction. All the registers were open and the store was busy. Also several real good deals in the store. I will be back.
