This place is a joke. I came in to purchase cabinets in January sat for 3 hours planning my kitchen out. Went home to take the final measurements came back to pay just to be told the lady made a mistake and there not on sale. Was told by the manager oh well im out of luck. Then he proceeded to tell me there cheap enough why cant I afford them in front of other customers. I do not need to explain to him and the entier store my financial situation. I came in with the budget I knew I could afford and stuck to it. Its not my fault his employee did not read the fine print correctly. After an hr on the phone with corporate I came back to the store to purchase them. The girl at customer service was having a problem and kept calling the manager Vinny to come up and help. He told the poor girl to figure it out. Clearly not a good manager. The cabinets come in almost a month later after we were told two weeks tops. Fine no a big deal. We get home and unwrap nothing but half ass cabinets. Half of them are cracked half of the doors are not finished pieces form our order is missing and some cabinets have a giant scratch down them. Not acceptable. We come back with the damage merchandise to have it replaced and the nightmare continues. Its now April and were still waiting on stuff. We called every day to see if our stuff was in they would say no. Happen to be in the store as usual and happened to go up to customer service to see if it came in . Dont you know its been sitting in the store for over two weeks. Never once did anyone contact us nor could they explain why we werent. We called every day practically and were told nope not in sorry. Still waiting on my cabinet doors which fyi they forgot to order again. DO NOT ORDER ANY KITCHEN CABINETS FROM THIS STORE . THEY SUCK. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. I AM TAKING THIS TO CORPORATE. !!!!!!!!!1

Electrical department worker, older guy with glasses is rude and ignorant. Had someone who bought a ceiling fan for their home that I installed then had to remove due to poor quality. In 30 years of doing electrical work I have never seen a big name brand fan so bad. When I went back to the Home Depot to advise my customer what fan was better , this idiot Home Depot employee yells at me for calling what they sell "junk". I replied to him that I have every right to ensure what people buy and pay me to install is good and not garbage. This guy shouldnt be working in a Home Depot and giving useless advice on things hes not educated to speak on.

Over the past 4 years I have been a student at Stony Brook University who has been in charge of the IEEE electrical engineering club on campus. Every time I have gone to this Home Depot looking for either electrical parts or things to mount our projects onto, the staff has been incredibly helpful. If Home Depot did not carry an item that would fit our needs, the staff would even go as far as helping find other stores where we can get what we want. They have also been helpful in donating scrap cardboard and other materials which we need and put to good use. Overall everybody I have worked with in this store has exceeded my expectations. Bravo.

The Setauket Home Depot is the best Home Depot I have ever been to. In terms of displays,stock,cleanliness and help and knowledge I have never walked out of there without what I needed and if I did, they told me were to go. I have been to hundreds of Home Depots and I am so happy to have this one around the corner from me. Some people are just impatient and dont know how to wait more than 1 minute, I highly reccomend traveling an extra few miles just to go to the Setauket Home Depot.

I just returned from the Home Depot store in Setauket. Much to my surprise, I was told my Suffolk County Resident Veteran card is not accepted for their 10% discount except on 4 holidays. Home Depot is nationally registered with the Veterans Association and I was told by the SC Veterans Service Agency that most Home Depots do accept this card. This review is directed to all veterans in the area NOT to shop at Home Depot in Setauket but shop where your veteran status is appreciated.

Among Home Depot stores on Long Island, this is one of the best. The products that I use often are located in the front aisles of the store. Their staff is generally well-acquainted with their respective specialties. Most of the time, I am able to flag a passing Home Depot employee for help with locating a product. They are usually familiar with its shelf location, which greatly increases the efficiency of getting in and out of such a huge store with so many diverse products.

My default store for site-to-store shopping. Online order pickup is always quick and pleasant. I once bought a closet rod in store but all of the rods were missing some parts. My roommate bought a gas can and it missed the nozzle. Bottom line is: buy online, pick up in store.

Plumbing sucks , have to go somewhere else to fill what you need because they are out of stock . Department workers avoid you and go the other way if you need help .Of all the Home Depot in My area , and there is a lot , this one is the worst for customer service .

Needs to do better on presentation of product in Nursery although Commack store is bigger there presentation of product makes you want buy more. I understand Setauket is the busiest of all long island .
