I took my mini poodle Lucy to Petco on Federal Road in Brookfield for the first time last week for a bath and trim. She is only 3 years old and very sweet and very shy. I decided to wait for her...they took her in the back so I did not see her. I waited over an hour for her to come out for the groomer to blow her dry and trim her nails in front of me. While I was waiting I noticed all the dogs coming and going and I asked where my dog was and they said she would be out shortly. The next day I went to pet the top of her head and noticed that she had a gash that was two and a half inches long and a quarter of an inch wide. It had a brown scab on it. There was absolutely no way that this happened with me. I took her to the vet who told me that they must have cauterized it which is why there was such a scab on it. When I went to speak to the groomer he did not deny that something happened. I am so Furious that they had the nerve to try to conceal that they hurt my dog, my poor little baby could not speak up for herself and God only knows how painful it was. They went out of their way to clean her up and try to conceal what they did ...shes white and no traces of blood anywhere on her head or body. Thankfully shes okay but God only knows how many other times this has happened and theyve tried to cover it up. I was sitting there the entire time and asked him where she was and they had the nerve to not tell me. I would not go back there if they paid me and then by the way they did charge me for the services! Shame on them!

This place is a joke. I have been using the grooming department for a few years now and up until recently I have had no issues. During the past year and a half I have had 3 appointments cancelled on me (including todays) with no call telling me they were cancelled and when I get there no explanation why or who cancelled it. This most recent appointment was even set up by the store manager Mark because of the issues that I have had. The reason Mark had to set up the appointment was because when I was in there in April the person at the desk taking in my dog stated some things about my dog that I never heard about or was told about said issues. The person working the desk in April stated that in my file my dog has showed aggression and if she is too aggressive then they would stop where they are and I would still be charged. This comment really upset my family and I. We have a goldendoodle breed dog that has never showed any signs of aggressive behavior (besides licking you). As well as every time we go to pick her up no one has once said anything bad about her and when I ask how was she they always say fine. The service at this location has dropped so far that it makes me wonder should I even continue to shop at Petco because I know I will never bring my dog back to this location for grooming.

This company doesnt even deserve 1 star for what they put me and my dog through. They told me he would be ready in 2-3 hours but kept him there for over 5 hours in a cage. They apparently took him out, brushed him then put him back and claimed that he was half way done but wouldnt be done on time because it was physically impossible. They say that each dog needs love and attention but when I brought my dog home I found his ear cut and red from the dry blood. They werent even willing to refund me any of my money back. I am never going there again!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY RUDE!! STAY AWAY!! UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR DOGS TREATED LIKE DIRT!! They also have a rude attitude and do not know when to admit they are wrong.

The "expert" in the fish department refused to sell me a fish when I said I was going to quarantine the fish in a smaller tank. Im on this hobby for many years and two generations and I never heard that I couldnt buy a fish because my quarantine tank is small. BTW my quarantine tank is bigger than the 10 gallons that petco keep the fishes on! Petco tanks are filthy and Ill never add a fish from them directly on my main tank. Unfortunately I dont have many options where I live. Im going back to online shopping and NEVER go back to this store again!!

Review for VETCO within this PETCO - everyone was so lovely and professional, and they took great care of our two dogs. We were in and out in fifteen minutes for vaccinations for our dogs, for a fraction of what we normally pay at the veterinarians office. We also were able to get medications for our dogs (monthly heartworm, flea and tick prevention) for less than the vet office prices, plus a $25 rebate on each box of medication! HIGHLY recommend.

I have been bringing my dogs to Brookfield Petco for over 8 years. Jen, Sue and our friend Dingo (rip old friend). have given my 3 pups tons of love and beautiful groomings. Camelot and Daisy love going here! Thank you guys for always taking such good care of my pups and making them beautiful : )

Good prices and great little clearance section for dog toys. Their staff were helpful with my few filter related questions. Wish they had a few more pets that were for "adoption" rather than sale given their marketing toward adoption first.

The staff knows alot about the animals they have. The inventory it great. It is the nearest and best place for me to get mice for my snake. Many of the prices are great.
