We have given this location so much business! We own 5 vehicles. This collection is comprised of 5 cars, trucks and SUVs. We usually buy 2 sets at a time so 8 tires! We dont shy away from quality and always go with the best tires money can buy. Not bragging just letting you know and also recommending that you never should chince on tires. The cool thing is we are treated wonderfully when we are making the initial purchase. And I mean royal treatment. When it comes to getting service after the purchase is made, well thats a whole different story. You can feel, see and cut the difference in half with a knife. Much like others have mentioned, when you go there to get a flat fixed or want your tires that you purchased from them at that location rotated and balanced (a service that we paid for), well, this is where they need help. And I mean a lot of help! I witnessed AND experienced as others have, being told that my wait for a tire rotation and balance would be up to 2.5 to 3 HOURS!!! With optimism and no other options, I agreed. As I waited for my wife to pick me up, I watched another customer come in 5 minutes later and express all buying signals for a new set of tires as the salesman salivated he blurted out that the 2.5 to 3 hour wait was now miraculously 30-45 minutes. Now how in the heck did that happen? Wait I know! Because I was once that customer! A customer who needed to buy new tires, a customer who was treated with priority and was made to feel as if my need was just as important to them. I only feel bad for those who were waiting before us the day we made our 8 tire BFG tire purchase. We must have been looked at with envy. Im sorry patiently-waiting-previously purchased tire-customers. So to summarize. CUSTOMER RETENTION. PLEASE PLEASE FOCUS ON THIS. Also this new appointment thing you all are trying out isnt working. Youre told to set an appointment vs. walk-in which is how it used to be. Now with this "appointment" you sort of get the feeling that youre being treated with priority but yet, just like before, youre still ever so slightly discouraged by being told that youre appointment is going to take yet and still 2.5-3 Hours. So what was the point of the appointment thing? Hey one more thing, I get that this is a first world problem and I dont usually gripe but this has to change guys, sales are good, youve done your job in selling them but if you want people to come back then do something to show you appreciate us. WARNING --- Over-tightened Lug Nut Are Dangerous. Discount Tire could get your whole family KILLED. Search google and you will find that over-tightening of wheel lug nuts are a primary cause of wheels coming off causing car and truck crashes. The studs fatigue and break off thousands of miles later when the driver doesnt suspect the reason. Discount Tire grossly over-tightened the lug nuts on my Dodge 2500 truck. I specified in writing to tighten the lug nut to 125 ft. lb. ONLY, and I would tighten them myself in the parking lot to the Dodge specification of 135 ft. lb. I was shocked to find that some were under-tightened because they obviously did NOT us a torque wrench or a torque "stick." I tested them at home with a Craftsman torque wrench that gives an actual reading instead of a "click." Most of the nut were out of range of the wrench beyond 150 ft. lb. I didnt have a wrench that would go to 160, 170, 180, or 200 ft. lbs. The nuts gave a loud "crack" when I loosened all of them. I torqued them again with the proper sequence to 135 ft. lbs. These dangerous TIRE BUSTER could get you KILLED. At best you could be stuck at the side of the freeway with a flat tire unable to get the nuts off with the "L" lug nut wrench that came with your car or truck. Consumer Affairs and other websites list thousands of complains. Discount Tire will never touch any of the lug nuts on my vehicles again. I didnt buy my tires at Discount Tire because the set for my Camaro bounced down the road like a hopping rabbit. I returned to have them balanced again but to no avail. They still jumped like a rabbit. I spun the wheels and noticed they were NOT ROUND. All of them were out of severely out of round. I remembered the technique used the tire recap shop where I bought retreads as a poor college student. The expert recapper would have me drive 1,000 miles without any balancing and come back in. He would then mount the wheels on a machine with a spinning cutter that would trim the tread to perfect roundness. After trimming many of the tire require no weights to be in perfect balance and drove like a dream. I found a retread shop to trim the grossly out of round Discount Tires. Heavy weights and out of round means Discount Tire sold me "second quality" tire at first quality prices. I am a registered professional mechanical engineer and expert auto mechanic. I know what I am talking about. A class action lawsuit should be taken against Discount Tire.

Extremely sloppy and unskilled. I bought four new studded snow tires. One went flat the next day from a slow leak in the sidewall and rim. They called it a manufacturer defect (my moneys on shipping damage) and replaced the tire free of charge. But they obviously hadnt checked well enough for leaks before I rolled out of the store the first day. Then a different tire went flat. I took it to them and they said that it was because the tire had been installed on a wheel with some corrosion on it. They claim they cleaned the corrosion off and checked for leaks. All was well in their opinion, so they reinstalled the wheel and sent me on my way. However, when my car was finished, they forgot to let me know and so I sat and waited an extra 45 minutes just because theyre not on top of things. By this time I had had to visit them 3 times and had put in 9.5 hours driving back and forth and waiting. Then the same tire went flat again! By this time I had had it with them. I took it to their competitor who tried to fix it for free by putting a little Bead Sealer on it, taking me at my word that what Discount had said was accurate, that it was leaking from the bead. However, that also wasnt right. It went flat again. So I looked at the tire myself and within 10 minutes of looking for it, I found the obvious leak from the interior sidewall where it had been punctured. The nature of the damage made it fairly clear that the two tires that were bad had been damaged in shipping, apparently by being stacked with something sharp between the two bad tires, puncturing the exterior sidewall of the first and the interior sidewall of the second. So I then took it back to Discount (my fourth visit). During the process of getting it replaced they were gracious enough to show me their dunking process, which became obvious as the source of the trouble. The technician dunked the punctured tire to show me what should have been been happening to prevent this problem but demonstrated poor technique in water that was so dirty that it would have been incredible if anyone was able to find any leak in it. In any case, they replaced the tire and Ive been good to go since then. While the whole ordeal was disastrous in terms of the time invested, they did stand behind their product in that they never tried to charge me extra to replace the two tires in question. Their service was also very polite.
