Our family has purchased several items from AFO and have had a generally acceptable experience. However, we had to replace a dead refrigerator and this experience will cause us to go elsewhere for our appliance needs. We bought a Samsung side by side, took 4 days to get it delivered (we knew that up front but Lowes can do next day). We were told the installation guys would handle everything, I had to go into the crawl space to find the water shut off (we specifically asked if they would do this and were told yes). The install guys said we had to replace the copper water line with a flex line to install the fridge and that was an extra $32.00. Day 1 the fridge temp was so cold it froze everything. I called and was told to set it to the warmest temperature and wait 24 hours. 24 hours later no change, second call resulted in the tech calling me back and trying to schedule an appoint with me 4 days later. After explaining the situation he made it out the next day (Friday) and replaced the 2 parts he thought were to blame. I was told to give it another 24 hours and call if it was still an issue. 24 hours later it is still at 32 degrees when the thermostat is set to 46 degrees. A 3rd call to Brand Source (conveniently a separate company from AFO, but they do ALL the service work) tells me that its Saturday and nothing can be done until Monday. So we have a fridge full of frozen food and have had to discard almost $100 of food that cannot be used after it is frozen. Our salesman (Jeff) was more than happy to take the $1000 when we bought it, but amazingly cannot do a thing to help us since "once the sales is complete Brand Source handles all service issues". My father in law owns rental properties and has used AFO, he has used them for his home, and we use them for our home. Looks like someone else will be getting all that business in the future.

I bought an Appliance Factory voucher through Groupon that could be applied towards a Sealy Posturepedic mattress. I went to this location, picked out one that was on sale, and asked the Sales rep if I could use the voucher. He said yes after reviewing all the voucher T&Cs; however, he couldn’t figure out how to apply the $200 voucher credit in the system and so he contacted his Manager over the phone. Apparently, the Manager gave him a hard time about trying to accept the voucher, saying it would ONLY APPLY TO FULL-PRICE items!!! That was NOWHERE listed in the T&Cs. So I told the Sales rep, who was very nice and reasonable, that I wanted to talk to the Manager and ask him where that’s stated in the T&Cs. He called the Mgr again, and later came back and said that the Manager said the mattress I was trying to purchase was NOT a Sealy Posturepedic mattress… The funny thing is that there was a huge banner/sash right on the mattress that said “SEALY POSTUREPEDIC”, the price sheet said “SEALY POSTUREPEDIC”, and even the label STICHED to the mattress said “SEALY POSTUREPEDIC”!!! We took pictures of all this and wish I could upload them here so you could see how ridiculous their claim was. It was already 7 o’clock in the evening, and we had spent almost an hour with the back-and-forth with a store Manager that was clearly not being reasonable and didn’t want to talk directly to me as the customer, so I gave up trying. So if you ever plan on purchasing a Groupon voucher or any kind of certificate, be cautious that they may WRONGFULLY not let you use it on any discounted items.

Jamie Murphy is a superstar!!!! She is the reason to go to Appliance Factory Outlet on Bowles first, and not worry about going anywhere else. My wife and I bought a fridge and dishwasher from her. She knew her products and found the prefect combo for us. She is very friendly and not pushy at all. So the original purchase was made with extreme comfort on our part. It should be noted that the selection at the store was stellar! They had products for every need! Now to the reason why Jamie is a superstar. We had an issue with the dishwasher (not the stores fault), and needed to get it fixed. She took us through the process, and did so in a way that we understood. We got a repairman to the house who told us it needed to be replaced. After a few weeks of getting the run around, i went to the store looking for either help or a return. Jamie stepped up to the plate and kicked major butt for us. She called the manufacturer and repair shop, figured out why I was getting the run around, and has seemed to got the process of replacement kickstarted for us. I have full faith that she will get us through process, and do so in a timely manner. If it wasnt for her help, I have no doubt we would be stuck. If you have to buy an appliance or more, go to Jamie! She will make the process very pleasant, and will fight for her customers. Thanks Jamie!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is the installation/repair guys dont know the difference between hot & cold water. Had a brand new washer delivered that only got scalding hot water on every temperature/cycle. We suggested the idea that the hoses were backwards. The main repair guy came out, was here a total of 3 minutes, & said that the machine was broken without any investigation. He said the company would be in contact about delivering a new machine. Never heard & finally we had to contact them. Seemed like we had to pull teeth to get anything done. After a week, our original salesman ordered us a new machine. Same delivery/installation guys installed our new machine. What do you know...no cold water. Didnt bother calling them because I knew they wouldnt offer an immediate help & they obviously dont know what theyre doing. Had to drag my poor father out to help pull out the washer & check the hoses (its a very tight space). And what do you know...the hoses were backwards. My guess is the first machine was perfectly fine; just hooked up wrong. Long story short, this company has very poor communication, customer service & the installation guys clearly need to be re-trained.

We happened into the Used Appliances section on a whim and were delighted to find exactly the style of refrigerator that I had been looking for but was unwilling to spend the money on. Dan knocked the price down as it had been in his inventory for 6 months. While there, we were chatting about perhaps replacing our oven as well. Dan didnt have anything we were interested in instock at that time but he diagnosed the problem, located the part, and explained how to replace it. My husband is NOT a handy man so I was doubtful. However, this morning my husband successfully replaced the broken part and we have a working oven. The fridge will be delivered in a couple days. I cant wait! Dan was personable, and went beyond helpful with us. I will go see Dan when we are ready to replace our aging washer and dryer and for any future appliance purchases! The prices are great and Dan is the best!

We were just going to "look" and price things out. Jim Hamilton worked with us and was amazing. We needed a new double oven and downdraft cooktop. He took time to research products for us and provide comparisons. We were not ready to purchase that day, but Jim took time each week to check in on us and see how we were coming along in our decision. Once we decided what route we were going to do, we headed in. Jim is very professional while at the same time a lot of fun to work with. We enjoyed working with Jim so much that we ventured out in the snow on the evening of Thanksgiving to purchase a washer and drier that we could not pass up on for the amazing deal. We will be back later this week to work with Jim on buying a new dishwasher. Jim and the whole team at Appliance Factory Southwest Plaza are a lot of fun and very knowledgeable about their products.
