After more than a year of bad experiences with this Safeway location in Idaho Springs Colorado, I will not be shopping at any Safeway or Vons again. The employees are poorly trained. The systems are not updated. The selection of real food items is really lousy for the only grocery store in town. Im tired of the bad attitudes and lack of accountability. King Soopers in Evergreen was able to deliver on all my shopping needs and expectations after I walked out on the clerk on Safeway empty handed. 2 hours of my day is wasted after too many bad experiences at safeway. Im going to share my experience with all my friends as well.

Friendly employees, never a problem. Lived in Idaho Springs for less than a year, so maybe we havent come across the supposed "bad apples" here. Weve never had a problem with them with anything....its a grocery store, not much else to say about it. Theyre always in stock on the items we need, meats, veggies, milk, bread. Seriously no issues with this location. I dont know how a grocery store is "outdated"??

The service is sloppy and poor from mostly lazy staff, and a few overworked, and underappreciated decent staff. Lots of issues whenever I go in with getting overcharged. Often they have understocked/empty shelves and I cannot get even the basic staples. The management has an uncaring "we are the only grocery store around" attitude, and are unapologetic for how they treat both their customers and employees.

We dropped in here on our way to 4x4 off-road trails off 103. We wanted some trail food. They had a good selection of pre-made sandwiches and such as well as hot food. I grabbed some chicken wings. The BBQ wings were good and the hot wings were good but the sauce was very mild. My buddy grabbed a protein package (Salami/Cheese/Carrots) as he is going low carb. Stopping here for trail food worked out well.

I live in IS and shop here all the time, but only because the next closest store is 20+ minutes away. It seems like at least half their items are outdated. They clearly do not rotate their stock and they seriously over purchase for a store this size. IF YOU SHOP HERE CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE ON EVERY PRODUCT AND DONT BE SURPRISED IF YOU COME ACROSS SOMETHING OUTDATED BY SEVERAL MONTHS.

Dear Amanda, I do not know what you do for a living besides criticizing the work of others who chances are, are working under duress because they are perpetually understaffed. If you want to address quality issues than take it to the cooperation, dont take it out on the employees, they are just trying to get by in an undervalued, understaffed and usually an underpaid workplace!

Its in the community I love and its always best to shop local. Not very happy that this store gets overlooked by corporate. Too many people are shopping in Evergreen, because this store is limited and outdated... However Erin the pharmacist is so courteous, knowledgeable and professional, I have stopped going to Walmart for my precriptions...

I grab some to single serve desserts over by there Cakes Bakery thingy and it said 5 for for five bucks and they charge me $4 a piece didnt realize it till I got home dammit
