Nowadays it seems near everything that sells retail is made in fast food style with little in the way of quality, and pride of workmanship. One reason among many I patronize Scarpaletto is the fantastic quality of everything they sell, especially the shoes. Nearly every dress shoe I own is from Scarpaletto, and has been for over twenty years now. From the first shoes with the Scarpaletto name I bought when the store was located in the Tabor Center, (shoes I still wear mind you)- to today, many pairs later, the only better quality you’ll find than the shoes, is in the wonderful service you will receive. Scarpaletto’s owner, Phil Vivinetto is the very definition of class. He treats all his customers with warm hospitality, even a scruffy old Navy sailor like myself. Over the years, when I come home to Colorado, I visit Scarpaletto not just to buy top of the line shoes, I visit to see Phil. There are few retail stores you can visit where every customer is treated so well. I see that others who have reviewed Scarpaletto have cited high prices. In response to that I believe the old adage applies “You get what you pay for.” Even as a young sailor on a limited income, I bought shoes at Scarpaletto because I know how well they are made, and how long they will last with proper care. Every pair I have ever purchased can still be worn and they will seemingly never go out of fashion. In those days it was an exquisite delight to go from wearing a camouflage uniform to dressing in style. Now retired from the Navy, I am a professional, requiring that I dress as such, and I certainly have shoes to dress the part. My sincere thanks to Phil for the attentive service all these years. Thank you for always welcoming everyone who visits your store with such warmth. Thank you for making an old sailor feel and look like a million bucks. I am a customer for life.

Great shop on Larimer Square. This is the new version of the older Cherry Creek location. This shop closed in Cherry Creek and reopened bigger and much better on Downtown Denver. Now with a great unique selection of both mens and ladies footwear. This shop also carries leather coats, lovely handbags and jewelry. Owned locally the knowledge and customer service is outstanding. This shop is a great reason to shop locally !!!!

Went through several Denver shops looking for some new boots, but all the "normal" stores had a fairly boring selection. Stumbled into Scarpaletto and found a fantastic pair of boots from a small company called BedStu. If you want some unique and fun choices that you wont find at every other store, visit them!
