YOU NEED TO READ THIS! It is with great sadness that I write this review as I have shopped at this store for YEARS with my mom. I realize that I only had good experiences because I never returned anything in that time. Yesterday, I spent about $400 on two pairs of shoes and three shirts. I was asked if I wanted to wear one of the pairs of shoes out of the store (because they went so well with my outfit) and declined. Later that day at the St. Julien Hotel, I decided to swap out shoes because the ones that I purchased were so cute. With the new shoes on my feet, I walked from the St. Julien to Foolish Craigs. THAT IS ABOUT FIVE BLOCKS TOTAL. In that time, the shoes ripped the flesh off from the back of my heels. I have never had these sort of welted blisters in my life! When I saw the condition of my heels, I immediately switched back to my shoes and took the new shoes back to the store. I WAS TREATED THE MOST HORRIBLE WAY THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TREATED IN MY LIFE. The two people who worked there saw how bad my heels were and didnt care about them. Instead, they asserted that I ruined the shoes and should have known that I couldnt wear them in the heat. Ummm, what?!? Have you ever heard of such nonsense??? Why did the person ask me if I wanted to wear them out of the store if they couldnt be worn on sunny days??? What sandals are for cold days only??? Yes, they said that to me as my heels were completely ripped open from these shoes!!! I ONLY OWNED THE SHOES FOR ABOUT THREE HOURS AND HAD TO FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL FOR A REFUND. The blue haired lady treated me as if I had committed a crime. It was just awful. Then as I was leaving, I heard the other young lady talking horrible about me on the phone! She was saying that I brought in these "beat up shoes in bad condition." I only owned them for three freaking hours!!!! I only had them on as I walked the route from the St. Julien Hotel to Foolish Craigs on Pearl!!! That is all! And I was sincerely treated like I was disgusting, horrible, dirty and stupid. They actually hurt my heart with the way they treated me. I almost felt like crying. I feel so deceived by this store, I had to share this. It is not the way anyone should be treated!!!!! Oh and my heels still hurt really bad today, not that they care about me at all. Check out what the shoes did to my heel! I have the picture on Yelp and on their Facebook (if they dont take it down which they probably will) They saw this HUGE BLISTER AND DID NOT CARE!!!!! INSTEAD THEY FOUGHT ME FOR A REFUND AND ATTACKED MY CHARACTER. Ask yourself if you want to support these people? Seriously! There are much nicer people and shops to give your business!

Walked into the store wanting a pair of birkenstocks. I found the pair I liked along with the right size. The older lady working at the store suggested that I buy a bigger size. I have never owned birks before so I trusted her judgement. I walked out of the store wearing the shoes along with 2 other pairs of shoes I bought while I was there. I spent a total of $415 dollars. As I walked home I realized they were too big. I had an extra pair of flip flops in my car so I took them off and set them aside until I had time to return them later that week. When I went in to return them I had the receipt but not the box because the owner didnt give it to me when I bought the shoe. The older man working in the store was so rude to me. He told me he didnt think they were too big for me and since I didnt have the box and wore them out of the store he would not accept them back as a refund. I told him that the woman working at the store when I bought the shoes was the one who fitted me poorly and that they should honor their mistake and return policy and take it back. He was extremely mean and belligerent to me and said "I will not help you, you can leave". I will never go back to that store and neither will any of my friends or clients. I am disappointed in my local business.

Ive taken my girl boot shopping here multiple times and she loves the store. Im impartial on shoes (only female shoes/boots) but the service is always consistently good. Even when their busy, the employees have found a way to either assist us or remember our requests. The only thing is dislike is the size of the store. I gets congested pretty quick with the amount of people and displays but then again Im sure renting on Pearl is awfully expensive. As for the negative reviews, I personally have never experienced any negatives from the owner. She is your typical materialistic individual (she runs a womens boot/shoe store) but Ive never received any snarky or rude attitude from her. The owner gives her honest opinion on the boots so maybe that gives off a "catty" vibe that may not be received well by other female customers. Any way, the store is enjoyable and if your a boot fiend like my girl is, try the place out.

This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am so sorry for the beautiful boot and shoe companies that try to sell at Shoe Fly in Boulder, Colorado on Pearl St. An older saleswoman was extraordinarily disrespectful and condescending. There was a very young saleswoman with blue hair who was very adamant about not taking my boots back to exchange them for a bigger size. The boots were in perfect condition until the women took them in the back and branded the bottom of one of them with a circular marking. They said now they cant take them back because they are ruined. I left the store in tears. I spent so much money on these boots and all I needed was a half size bigger. It is so absolutely amazing to think there are really people like this in our world. Why did they do this? Why would two women ruin perfect boots at a small shoe store in Boulder?

Wow, I am shocked to see the below reviews, as I have had nothing but positive experiences at Shoe Fly. To begin with, very, very few stores in Boulder (or anywhere else for that matter) accept returns ... store credit is the norm. I respect the owners for sticking with that policy; you cant start making exceptions! I so appreciate the honest, forthright manner of the owners; they really take time to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. I 100% recommend shopping at this great local business!!

A friend of mine went in to Shoe Fly in Boulder, Colorado and asked for a 10 in a beautiful boot she fell in love with. The salesperson laughed in her face and said "I dont think we have a 10, but I will check if you really want me to." She felt so awful and completely disrespected. I cant believe a store like this exists in such a wonderful community as Boulder, especially on Pearl St. I am a supporter of local businesses and I do whatever I can to keep them open, but I will never shop at this store.
