I have worked at this Walmart before, I can tell you that the pay any one of the hourly associates receives is not enough to care. To get overworked and underpaid and treated poorly by customers because the bottom level employees cannot change a company policy is not worth it. There is a new store manager but things seem to have gotten worse. However, the last manager was rumored to be embezzling money from everyone, so the bar wasnt set very high. In regards to the lack of baskets and the bums, many of the shopping carts are stolen from the homeless, not to mention that there are often to few cart pushers scheduled throughout the day. The homeless are not run of by the so-called "security" guard, so they just hang out their to rummage through the trash and harass the associates and customers alike. Working here and experiencing things from the other side, 1434 is the worst Walmart in the Springs. This store carries enough of a bad reputation that one associate was let out of a speeding ticket after the officer found out which Walmart they worked at... on three different occasions! Things would be so different for the associates and customers both if the company was run like Sam Walton had run the company. Too bad the suits at corporate have their priorities only on cutting costs and larger profits. It will come to a point where Walmart is taken out by a competitor or they take themselves out. They tried to cover it up that the stores that closed out east were not for maintenance reasons but because all of the associates in the store unionized and Walmart cannot stand for their employees to have rights.

As a family of 7, Ive always counted on Walmart in keeping proper glasses on our faces. Lifes too busy in worrying about jumping to different places in obtaining a written prescription, then filling it, with the necessary glasses thats so vital in living safe & happy. After shuffling around 2 counties, keeping 4 children out of school, we crammed dentist appointments, well check-ups, and finally completing a friendly visit, Dr. Kara Fedder, OD. Im sorely disappointment at the lack of caring service, the Vision Department has. BOO!!! I will NOT return to your store. Cannot believe you would allow such nonsense. Your associate was very sour and lacking any caring judgement to the fragile state of feelings towards 3 broken frames!! Understand theres different insurance policies but to accept it on site & then deny it in your store is false security on it being convenient. Its shameful to turn away a family desperately trying to replace optical needs. Heartless!!!!

As I am typeing this I am at Walmart right on on 8th street, in Colorado Springs, and I have been waiting for someone to come help me in the jewelry department. Now down the way in the fitting room, 4 ladies that have the famous blue Walmart vest are talking about how everyone is this and that, and how there job is so hard and so on and each one of them have looked at me at least once, still no one has asked if I need assistance or not. Now I am a manager for business and I would not let and person stand at my counter for more than am min. I spend a great deal of money here but never like shopping in the morning or during the day, do to this fact. The time it took me to find the review site, and type all this, I have "I will get you someone" yet as I close this review no one has come to assist me. For the service I am receiving I dont even want to give even one star!

Was not satisfied at all with the care and service at this location. I was insulted by a staff member in the pick up department and when I told a manager they did nothing about it just pretty much called me a liar cause the employee of course denied insulting me. This on top of them screwing things up with the item I ordered and instead of staying at her station the employee went to the back to sit down while on the phone. She may have been trying to fix the problem but disappearing and then insulting a customer is not right. And at the end of going to the store twice and being insulted I got my item but still nothing was done about any of the situations to make me any less upset. I guess the annoyance and waste of my time and gasoline didnt matter to the management at all. And I will never again be going to this store.

I live like 5 minutes from the store, an unfortunately i lost my car a few months ago so i am forced to go to this location.Me and my my girlfriend walked here one night and accidentally left 2 bags there with a lot of expensive merchandise. I ran back to the store to get the bags, and they asked for the receipt and said to them how i left my stuff. So they checked in the reclaim and said they couldt find them. So I asked them to check the camera, once they watched the video the manager said we took it. However, we walk and would notice if we dropped a bag, because we put all the merchandise in our backpacks so its easier to carry. So not only did i run down there for nothing but im not to well off to actually buy all that stuff again, because of our car accident. So I lost $80 worth of merchandise.

Today my coworkers and I went to buy starbucks coffee drinks in those glass bottles......well the bottom of the glass bottle just exploded and fell out, leaving a huge mess obviously and I went to tell a worker about it and not just leave it there. The worker I asked to help was deaf and apparently I startled her ( i didnt mean to ) and she began to yell at me in a rude way, telling me shes deaf and she can only read lips and when I tried to explain the situatuon she began to roll her eyes at me... literally yelled at me thst she doesnt have a radio because shes deaf and would have to go get someone like it was a huge inconvenience. I was nothing but nice to her and she was the RUDEST employee Ive ever come across here...or most places for that matter.

Not a dang thing. I am a disabled veteran. Lost my lower right leg in the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon, Oct. 23, 1983. Actually got back to my vehicle after spending a couple hundred dollars in this place, only to discover some fly by night, part time security weenie had ticketed my vehicle for parking in a handicapped parking place illegally. Horsesh@t! My placard was in plain view, as was MY HANDICAP LICENSE PLATES!!!!! I went back in to the store to contact management and get this remedied immediately, before it went to our local PD. The self involved pantie waste couldnt be bothered. It got taken care of through the normal course of the system, but......Walmart is dead to me. AS IS WHATS LEFT OF MY LEG!!! Go bankrupt and die!!!!!

this walmart has to be the dirtiest one i have ever been in....they have cosmetic dept closed off so they can watch you over your shoulder while you shop. then you have to purchase before you leave the area. i have never stolen anything in my life. this was humiliating and uncomfortable to shop. you are assumed guilty of stealing and treat as if you are going to. cause you to have to pay separately for your purchases. not convenient very time comsuming. it is a clear attitude that the employees dont care about customers or the store itself. ashame. and i am a loyal mid age customer who spends alot if money monthly at walmart. i guess i will continue to drive the 8 miles to the other store.
