Amazing cake, amazing service, and overall wonderful experience. Lorena worked with me and husband as we discussed various ideas on cakes, designs, and needs for the amount of guests we had. When you meet with Lorena, you feel like youre talking with a friend. Its not overly formal, and it was very easy to communicate with her about ideas. Lorena offered several wonderful suggestions that we put to use, and Im so grateful. One of them was asking us to have pieces of the cake put aside for us to enjoy after - brilliant! We were so busy that as bride and groom, we were not able to have cake with everyone else. Putting pieces aside for us was the perfect idea! We contracted for a wedding cake (such a unique design that was fun to work with her on), grooms cake (which was done perfect to the logo), and 60 cupcakes. It was a lot of cake, and Sweet Pea handled it without a glitch!!! If you want great flavor and someone who will work with your ideas, use Sweet Pea! I say with certainty that we will be using her every time we have a special cake!

MY CAKE WAS SURREAL!!!! When I had my tasting with Lorena I was not sure of the kind of cake that I wanted. She offered her professional opinion on schematics, but left the choice ultimately up to me. By the end of our meeting I was worried because the samples that she gave me were AMAZING and her service was AMAZING so I was sure that the price was going to be out of my budget (the magic wedding word)… Her prices were AMAZING! Once the day of my wedding I walked into my reception site and immediately my eyes were drawn to my cake. It was absolutely surreal. I could not have asked for more. It was as if a dream of my cake that I never knew existed was realized. My husband (I love saying that!) is not a into-detail-kind-of-guy, and he even stopped and just stared at it. I can’t rave on enough about how beautiful and great tasting my cake was. (I recommend the Bailey’s!!!) Lorena- Thank you for a beautiful piece of art! I felt bad cutting into it because it was so remarkable! All of my recommendations go to you!

We absolutely loved our wedding cake from Lorena! We started the experience with a wonderful tasting of the variety of cakes she offers. This was not a "taste 2 cakes" kind of tasting. We got to try everything before we ever committed to anything. My husband does not even like cake, and he loved Lorenas cakes. She has a wide variety of both cakes and frosting as well as designs and shapes. She even does personalized cakes. For our wedding she did a beautiful traditional cake for us as well as a Tour de France inspired jersey for my cycling loving husband. We even managed to keep it a secret from him, which made it all that much more fun. We also had so much cake for such a wonderful price. She is extremely reasonable and works with you on size and how many people the cakes will feed. I will definitely be using Lorena again! She was phenomenal!

Lorena at sweet pea cake company is a pleasure to work with! She recently made the wedding cake for my brother and his new bride. We had attended a cake tasting with several cakes and frostings, the decision was hard to make with so many great combinations to chose from. The wedding was not held in Colorado Springs, so the cake had to be picked up and taken to the church. Lorena was more than happy to meet me at 8 am to pick up the cake so it could be transported. The cake travel amazing, not a movement one did the cake make and I traveled over an hour with it in the back of my SUV. The wedding cake turned out beautiful and tasted amazing. Thank you for doing a great job on my brother and sister-in-laws wedding cake! We will definately recommend the Sweet Pea Cake Company!!

When I first met Lorena, I knew that I was going to be happy with the service. With my experience, I recognized that before Lorena even considers doing a cake for an event, she offers a consultation. During this session, the client is given the opportunity to get to know about her, and the work that she does. For the Equal Pay Day Rally that AAUW student club at UCCS planned, Lorena made 300 cupcakes. The decorated cupcakes were consistent with our theme and the work was quality. I would recommend anyone who is having an event to order from Lorena because she really does cater to the needs of her clients. Lorena really worked with me until we found a cake that was perfect for my parents 40th Anniversary. She was always patient and kind. When I called all the other cake companies in the Springs area to get quotes and basically got ignored or not even a call back because: 1. I wasnt a bride... and 2. I had tons of ideas and questions, Lorena was the one who gave first-class customer service. I wasnt a bride but I threw a party for my parents that was worthy of wedding status. Thankfully Lorena helped me “put the icing on the cake " with a beautiful Anniversary cake for my parents formal party. I will definitely be coming back to her for all my special occasions.

Lorena did my daughters wedding September 15, 2012. She was so helpful and so kind and very honest. The cake my daughter picked was a big challenge and Lorena scored a 10 not only in my book but everyone at the wedding was in shock at how beautiful the cake was. By far the BEST tasting cake I have ever had!!! I wish I had another daughter that was getting married because I would call Lorena again! I ordered a Sesame Street cake from Sweet Pea for my daughters 2nd birthday, and everything about my experience was awesome. She was able to accommodate the date I gave her, she designed it *exactly* the way I envisioned (I am a very picky person!), and she even worked with me to find a convenient pickup time (despite other orders/commitments that day). She was great to work with and the TASTE is incredible too (not just amazing looking. Literally all of it.). I wish my daughter had 10 birthdays a year - and Im looking forward to any celebration we have in the future so I can order here again!

Had our baby shower this past Sunday and I called sweet pea cake a week before and Lorena got back with me and took the extra time to make sure I got the cake and cupcakes I wanted. When I showed to pick up my cake I was blown away with how beautiful and perfect my cake and cupcakes were. At the shower we got multiple compliments on the cupcakes and even more on the cake. Even the next day our co-workers and friends were still talking about the cake. We would like to just thank Lorena for all her time, hard work and the love she puts in it to make the perfect cake.
