So I came here for the first time for my daughters birthday cake because of the great google reviews. This was my first time ever buying a fondant cake.. I didnt know what to expect. I had high hopes, buuuuut then I came back to pick up the cake... First off... There were FLIES flying behind the glass where the cupcakes were. I didnt see one laaand on a cupcake, but still. Gross. It wasnt like that when I first met with the baker. When I first saw the cake I thought it was beautiful. Really it was. But it looked like it was done at the last min or like they f up the first one and quickly redid the cake. When we left... The simple fondant flowers were melting and sliding off. Sure it was hot, but I only lived 15 mins away from this place.. Even after getting it out of the sun, the fondant cracked and the fondant flowers looked wet. Actually a flower fell off and when I touched it it was wet. My guests thought the cake was beautiful & it tasted good, but TRUST ppl I looooooove sweets.. It was a two tier white cake with fresh strawberries and the taste was so weird. The strawberries werent big as I hoped.... I dont plan on coming here. Yesterday, I bought a cake from Le Sensual Bakery (second time I bought a fondant cake) when I picked it up they pulled it out from the fridge right in front of me. The fondant was smooth and it looked like a real football.. Looked like a cake from Cake Boss.

Im from Aurora and work as a nanny in Park Hill Denver. I absolutely love the little neighborhood shops as we dont have them in Aurora. Ive purchased from Cake Crumbs a few time and am sad to say they lost me and the family I work for as customers. Every time I would go in there to order a drink, I would use the regular coffee shop lingo. For example, one day I ordered a venti dirty chi. Which is a chi tea latte with a shot of espresso. When I ordered, the woman behind the counter just looked at me with this puzzled look on her face. I explained what my drink was and then she said, "what size is a venti?" After I told her, she went off to make it. It was like I wasnt even standing there when she said to the other woman behind the counter: "I dont f***ing work at Starbucks, take that sh** somewhere else". And then they both giggles about it! Pretty much every time I walk in there, I am treated like this, except for the times Im with my boss. (Weird, right?) While I would love to keep supporting neighborhood shops such as this, I will no longer support Cake Crumbs. Hopefully they can get better customer service and I might give them another try.

I cant say enough about the team at Cake Crumbs Bakery! They made the cakes for our wedding in July and not only were they completely gorgeous, they were moist, delicious, and hands-down the best cake Ive ever had! Every time we run into a guest from the wedding, they RAVE about how scrumptious the cakes were and how amazing they looked! They decorated them exactly as Id hoped they would, matching our vintage theme to a tee! I highly recommend them, they really care about the product they put out, their prices are very reasonable (especially in the absurdly priced world of weddings), and they are a local, family run small business with a lot of heart! I wish I could eat their cakes every day! THANKS!!!

Cupcakes are awesome...BUT I had an Elmo cake made for my daughters birthday and it was not at all what I had expected. The way the cake was decorated was not what the picture looked like that I had given them and 3D characters looked like playdoe my daughter and I could have made.. As for the taste well, It was dry and not flavorful at all.. I had guests at the party ask me what the flavor even was bc it has a strange distinct taste to one of the layers. I think cost wise it was about what I would have spent at another bakery but when you pay $3-4 per slice you expect it to be as good if not better than their cupcakes. Overall I was very disappointed and will not be returning:(

Our company had a visit from their truck recently. I ordered Chocolate, and several other friends ordered other flavors (i.e. Lemon, Red Velvet). We werent impressed for the price we paid. The cake was dry and crumbly, as though it were a box mix purchased from the grocery store. (Sour cream can always be added to moisten cake recipes.) I think you mostly pay for the frosting. For $3.50 per cupcake, they should be a larger muffin size, or something unique. The ones we bought are normal cupcake tin-sized. If they are going to be smaller, charge less, or make up for size with quality. $3.50 for one regular cupcake with some sprinkles and frosting is greedy.

I called Monday and was told they needed 48hr notice and they also state that on their website and brochures. I was in on a Tuesday morning to order two small cakes needed for pick up on Sat. I was told they were already booked and could only do simple cakes. Wish they could have saved me a trip. They are not accomodating there required notice. Sounds like they really need some help. I guess be prepared to order your cakes with a full weeks notice if not two. So trying out Mermaids hopefully they want my the business.

Cake Crumbs is a lovely boutique bakery in Denver. They make the most delicious and beautiful cakes/pastries. Their customer service is outstanding and they go above and beyond to make sure all of their customers are happy. We have a corporate account and purchase multiple cakes from them monthly and our clients/employees are absolutely delighted with this special treat. Thank you for putting beautiful smiles on the faces of our clients/employees on their birthdays. We couldnt be more pleased with Cake Crumbs!

I love sweets so Im not super hard to please. I bought a variety of cupcakes for a dinner party and a brownie. The cupcakes were OK - not really memorable but pretty typical. The brownie texture was good but not enough chocolate flavor. All of that would have been fine but I found the staff to be a little off-putting. No greeting or smiles...didnt seem to be very excited about being there. Id go back if I was in the area and had a hankering for something sweet but wouldnt go out of my way to visit.

We had an excellent vegan chocolate cake with a layer of fresh strawberries inside for our wedding in 2016. The layer of strawberries was rather thin, -1 star. Unfortunately the company has recently changed management (Spring 2017) and they no longer offer vegan options, so were not going to get our free 6" anniversary cake that was promised... bummer, -1 star. The decorations in the image I posted were done by Bouquet Boutique in Broomfield at 290 Nickel St, #400, just the cake came from Cake Crumbs.

I have been coming to Cake Crumbs for years and Im sad to say I will not be coming back. The last few times Ive come the customer service has been terrible with the exception of when I came last week (the young lady that helped me was very nice). But typically when I come the employees ignore me and when they finally look up and help me the have a bad attitude. Ive called and complained to the manager but things seem to still be the same so I will take my business elsewhere.
