This place is terrible for someone who has a theme for a party, which most people have and so going to a cake place that does not follow directions and knowingly puts out a product that is completely different really is not conducive to what you are paying them for! They were my worst nightmare, I went in and spoke with the owner/head baker and she confirmed the entire order telling me several times that this design would be simple for her etc. I go to pick up the cake and it is completely wrong, the colors are wrong and the owner knew they were, she didnt call and notify me or fix the error before I picked up by remaking it, no she left the cake as is in completely different colors and design and just left her poor cashier to apologize, notifying her that I would probably be unhappy and that she could call her if I was. Of course I was because I payed a lot of money for something that was bringing the theme all together and she did it completely wrong, so upon talking to her on the phone she admitted that she did the colors wrong and knew she did, I still dont know why she didnt just fix it instead of ruining my theme completely, when the theme is baby pink and white and you do the cake in hot pink and bright yellow that isnt going to work, I couldnt imagine if this was a wedding, she would have completely ruined it! She didnt care either, really just slightly apologized, I had no other option than to take the horribly designed cake (which was terrible craftmanship apart from the wrong colors, she used several different colors of ribbon and didnt make the entire bow in fondant she actually did half in ribbon that was a different color) because I had to have something to serve my guests, several asked how this tied in with the theme, and I had to explain the lady messed it up! She wouldnt refund the entire amount and took no ownership, having her front desk girl apologize and she couldnt believe it either. Dont go here, she will ruin your theme and waste your time and money!

Absolutely wonderful experience! From the cake testing to my big day everything was amazing! Not only was Raluca so sweet, but you can see that this is her passion and that she puts her heart in every creation she makes. She made an amazing cake for my nautical / beach themed wedding, including these amazing shell decorations that were hand made, complete with edible sand! It was perfect! I couldnt have asked for better! She has so many options to choose from when picking out flavors, and they are all delicious! I had three different flavors (1 for each tier) and all three were fantastic! Also, she delivered the cake to my venue which was up a winding road in the mountains, everything was on time and in perfect condition. If you are trying to find an amazing bakery for your wedding or whatever other occasion, I completely recommend The Romana Cake House! Yum!

Not good. Got a banana cream pie cake a week or so ago. Went to take the first bite and literally spat it out. It was disgusting. You could tell it had been sitting there for WAY too long. I noticed the piece I spit out had a huge dark brown piece in it, so I tore apart the rest of the cake and it was like that throughout. Literally repulsive. Cannot believe they allowed that to be sold. Also, when checking out, the cashier straight up ignored me cause she was too busy having a conversation about texting with another coworker. Like she barely spoke a word to except to tell me the amount and to have a nice day. I will definitely not be returning here.

We had Romana Cake House make our wedding cake, and it was absolutely spectacular! We had a two-tiered wedding cake, and then and additional sheet cake for our guests, and they were both beautiful. But the beauty wasnt the best part. The cake itself was absolutely divine! We had our top tier be white cake with lemon mousse and a raspberry preserve. Our bottom tier was devils food with orange mousse. Both of them were so light - perfect for our July 11th 95 degree wedding. It was the absolute best cake that we have ever had. Raluca is truly a master of her art, and my husband and I would 100% recommend Romana Cake House for your wedding cake needs!!

A year ago, my husband and I married each other, and since we are so attached to our local community, we wanted to use our local businesses in Longmont. Romanas Cake house made our amazingly delicious wedding cake -- Lemon cake, bavarian cream filling and butter-cream frosting. Neither he nor I are into decoration -- we are ALL about flavor/texture! Romanas delivered that and more! Our guests to this day still exclaim about how amazingly delicious our cake was. We have since recommended Romanas Cake House to various clients and friends. Dont take my word for it, go on in there for some scrumptious treats -- you wont be disappointed!

I ordered a custom cake for my husbands birthday. The price was so reasonable in comparison to other companies I checked out online. The design was of a champagne bottle in an ice bucket - something they hadnt done before. They did such a great job with it! The cake turned out so much better than expected. The "ice" was clear, which isnt easy to do, according to several baking websites. You could tell they spent a lot of time trying to make everything look realistic. We didnt want to eat it! The cake was absolutely delicious, too! It made for a great birthday. : )

Romana Cake Houses celebration cakes are amazing. Website images dont do justice to the variety of flavors and amazing designs. If a birthday, wedding or other celebration cake is not what you need, it is a delicious challenge to decide which of the mouth watering individual desert portions or pastries to take home or to enjoy with a great cup of coffee for a warm in-house experience. Everyone who visits Romanas receives a personal welcome, friendly and professional service. Romanas is unique and Longmont is fortunate to have this truly European style bakery!

I have ordered cakes from here for years. Pretty much every year for my fathers birthday. He is from Germany, so he truly appreciates this style of cake. I havent tried every flavor they have to offer, we seem to be stuck on black forest and the coffee flavor, but they are always so tasty. We love that the cakes arent super sugary sweet, and we love the whipped cream outside. Its so light. Perfect compliment to the cake. Am ordering another cake today in fact, for my fathers 80th. Cant wait!

I say all the time to everyone I talk with when I mention Romana Cake House that this place reminds me of the European bakeries you can find all over Chicago where I grew up. Chicago = Great food. Longmont? Not so much. Luckily, Romanas has changed that. The superior quality and attention to detail in the products this place offers is so above what is expected in Longmont it makes me sigh in relief. Its so nice to find a small business willing to be more than average, but exceptional.

Im not sure why this place gets such good reviews. I got a slice of the much touted chocolate turtle cake. It was not worth the calories! The cake was dense and moist, but sadly flavorless. The frosting had acquired that yucky refrigerator taste, it was too sweet, and had the consistency of whipped lard or Crisco ala cheap supermarket cakes. Ive had far better confections at Whole a Foods from their specialty suppliers. I will not go there again.
