yay for shaved snow in the 303! i first tried shaved snow in houston and it was pretty amazing. wasnt sure if denver could compete with chinatown houston standards but i was surprised to find that snowlab was just as good if not better! we got the #1 (green tea + mochi + red bean) and #6 (strawberry + fresh strawberries + popping boba). the best part about snowlab shaved snow is the texture. it wasnt too melty/gummy/dry like some of the other places ive tried. the texture was substantial and the toppings went well with the respective snow flavors. i especially liked the green tea one. the strawberry was good too but a little too light-- kinda tasted more like you were eating regular ice/snow with a hint of strawberry essence. it could have been a tad more creamy or had a sweeter, more fruity flavor. because of how the shaved snow is served (in a cup, like yogurtland) there isnt as much room for toppings/drizzle compared to if it were served on a large plate. since the strawberry one wasnt as flavorful, it could have used more condensed milk. overall, i liked snowlab and would be back to try some more flavors! they definitely had some unique ones like black rice horchata (personally not a fan, but points for creativity!). they also have some interesting artwork and small selection of games (jenga!). worth checking out if youve never tried shaved snow! p.s. closed on wednesdays!

Been coming here since a few months after they opened and its always so good. They serve a kind of shaved ice that defies description. Its fluffier than youd expect but also dense? The lychee flavor is my go-to flavor, refreshing and a little floral, but I havent had anything bad yet. They have plenty of good toppings that youd expect to see in an ice cream shop but if youre a Japanophile like me theres plenty of exotic things (like aloe vera and mochi) and if youve never had fresh strawberries with sweetened condensed milk then you havent lived. Finally the staff here is really passionate about their product and it shows. They use fresh ingredients and change their flavors seasonally. Ask them a question and youll get lots of good info.

These Boas are my guilty pleasure. I order them for delivery probably once a month when I need some Friday night TLC. My favorite ones are the coca-cola braised pork and tender pork belly (on steamed buns). Very flavorful and satisfying. I also love their ginger lemonade with lychee pieces. The restaurant space itself is really tiny. I find that most people just order for takeout or get it delivered via Caviar. Super fast service.

The avocado ice cream is great! Especially with the shot of sweet evaporated milk they top it off. The end result is a balanced treat in sweetness and beauty to the taste buds. Also, a great place to hang with friends, play jenga and get lost in trying to describe the deliciousness of ones food to each other. On top of that they have very friendly owners =] and the decor is epic.

My boyfriend and I have been going here for a long time now and were never disappointed! They have a secret menu you can find on their Instagram. I love how light and fluffy the snow is. They give a good amount of additional sides! We typically get the big bowl to share. The service is great! I hope they keep opening up more locations and or a food cart! Yum!

Awesome experience! Huge portions of amazing tasting ice cream unlike anything else Ive ever had before. Wife and I went for our anniversary right before closing, and owner talked with us after closing hours. Super nice guy, and could not be happier with the service, dessert, and atmosphere that this business brings to Denver.

This place is an absolute delight! Very unique dessert option that is gluten and dairy free. My first thought when I saw the large portion sizes was that it would be too much. But the way they shave the ice leaves it light and airy... And delicious! I tried the coffee and wasnt disappointed. Parking can be a challenge.

Taiwanese style snow ice with many topping options and ice flavors to choose from - Taro, Green Tea, etc. Light, airy, soft texture but still creamy and flavorful. Fast, friendly service and good sized portions. Fun, old-school video game decor. Board games also available for your entertainment.

Definitely one of my favorite dessert stops in town, the shaved snow here is unlike any variety of shaved ice you had before; both in the flavors and their complexity, as well as the amazing texture. Everything is super delicious and the staff is super friendly and helpful.

Couldnt believe Denver has Asian style shaved ice! Very friendly staff, especially if youre new to shaved ice.. way better than Hawaiian (someone elses review described it as Hawaiian but they are wrong). Looking forward to seeing more labs near downtown soon!

I LOVED IT! Rather than shaved ice, it was shaved Macha Tea! Sweet red bean, Mochi pieces, and sweet condensed milk! I cant wait to have the other flavors! I had the small... Have a larger one. Its not heavy and you will want the biggest they have!

Not as good as Class 302 in Irvine CA, but its the best I can find near Denver. The avacado shaved ice is good! Wish they would allow us to put as much toppings as we want. Also wish they had fresh mango fruit chunks to put on as well.

My wife and I love this place. A good verity of flavors and combinations to choose from and good topings. If you dont want shaved ice they also have good tea and coffee options. The Thai iced coffee is worth trying at least once!

Very different - if you like Asian tea and boba flavors, you will love this. I like the "#1" - frozen green tea with mochi and actual red beans on top! Also the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owners are often serving.

Was looking for a lactose free dessert and had no idea what a gem Snowlab would be! Not always the most appealing presentation but dont be deceived! The flavors & texture are crazy good! Great size for the price too!

This place is AMAZEBALLS! If you havent tried Thai Shaved Ice, stop what you are doing and drive here now! They are open fairly late so its a great place for a sweet treat after a show, dinner or ball game downtown.

This is probably one of my favorite places to get a dessert or a sweet dish. The guys that own the place are super relaxed and always in a great mod. Theres tons of flavors to choose from and their big bowl is HUGE.

Ive been plenty many snow ice places in Orange county California. This isnt too bad, especially bring in Denver. I tried the avocado and their black sesame. It was ok, wish it had more of Rev ingredient.

Awesome place to hang out and play some of the board games available. If you want to try something delicious but different from ice cream, this is your place! Owner is really nice too!
