I bought a 2002 Dodge Dakota from Central Auto in January 2011. It was about the worst experience Ive ever had purchasing a vehicle, and I have purchsed quite a few I was so disappointed in my choice of dealers. The mechanics there are not compitant to work on the vehicles they take in. I agreed to buy the vehicle with the understanding that they repair a leaking seal and service the ABS, as the light was on. It took over two weeks to diagnose the problem and they finally ended up having to take it to another auto shop to get it fixed and made me feel like it was a complete hassle dealing with the issue. You can just imagine what I was thinking at the time. My salesman never returned my calls when I phoned to see if the vehicle was ready. I had to go to the owner of the business to get anything accomplished. It was my mistake to sign any papers with these people before the vehicle was finished and delivered to me in working order or I certainly would have opted out of the deal. The vehicle has since had numerous other major issues which arose shortly after thier 3000 mile warranty was up. Replaced the drive shaft, replaced head gasket and oil pan gasket, rear brakes started locking up due to improper adjustment of rear brake pads. Driver side window motor went out less than 3 months after purchase. The only thing that has saved me at all is the $2000 after market warranty that I had purchased along with the vehicle. So if youre planning on buying a vehicle from these people, I recommend taking it to someone who deals with that sort vehicle regularly for a thurough pre-purchase inspection before signing anything. Also, buy the aftermarket warranty for sure. Now that Im certain that I wont be having to deal with these people any further, I am posting this to warn you all. That was my experience and I wont be swayed into removing this negative review.

Purchased a truck from Central Autos. It needed some work and I was OK with that, I have enough experience to repair most issues. First of all, the truck was on the lot without a full exhaust system, which Central Autos fixed, but why would you even put a truck like that on a lot for sale? They were very helpful BEFORE I bought the truck. AFTER, the truck did not make it 500 miles (only vehicle to leave me stranded in my adult life), transmission started to go, then the engine bearings and also found a number of warning lights had been removed in the dash. I called John, the salesmen that sold me the truck a few times, he didnt respond until I finally caught him on the phone. I asked him if they had another truck on the lot (I felt this one had been severely abused) and I would take a loss on my current truck if they would take it in on trade. I never heard from John again despite leaving a few messages. I sent an email to their main address and received a call from someone responsible for customer service. They were also surprised that I did not receive a call back from the salesman, especially after I was willing to give them another chance. I never asked them to give me a refund, I knew I would take a loss on the truck, I really wanted to work this out and end up with a positive experience. So, the person on the line told me they would speak to the owner and see what they could do and get back to me. Well, never heard back from anyone. I think this epitomizes the reputation that used car dealers have. Very helpful and courteous until they sell the car, then they dont know you. I went to Family Trucks and Vans, good experience, good deal, good truck. I wont be returning to Central Autos ever.

I just test drove the 2010 white Ford explore that they have on The lot listed for under $13,988 and on car gurus its listed for just above 10 g ... Took it to my mechanic where I was told that there is its intermittent transmission problem .. The transmission is stuck in one gear when we took it on the freeway it stayed in one gear.. So what Im trying to say is its not going into its gears the explorer has a covered transmission so my mechanic couldnt look at it my mechanic also used to work at this place for years ago and told me that they will wipe the codes clean...which seems to be exactly what is going on there needs to be a new serpentine belt the power steering fluid needs to be changed the windshield wiper fluid is muddy dirty there is the intermittent transmission problem wont shift and stays in gear.. The compasses broke the windshield wiper on the back window is broke and the brake light is intermittent... So when we brought it back instead of speaking with Sean we spoke to a guy named Dave that was nothing but a complete dick and rude when I asked him if he would come down on the price at all ... He said no and that there was somebody else interested in coming in to look at it ... I would stay as far away from this place as you possibly can and less you want to get a car sold you that says there it doesnt have any problems and has all the problems...

We sure did not get what we paid for... paid blue book on a car and then found out a day later that it had nearly $5000 worth of issues. Went back asking for help or at least an apology and got nothing but "used cars can have mechanical issues" and we would be happy to let you use our mechanic to fix the issues. Is that the same mechanic that was supposed to do the in depth inspection on the vehicle before we bought so they could tell us everything they knew about the car as they claim to do on their website?! Sorry, but I wouldnt trust him to fix the issues that he missed and/or hid from us. Also, ours sales guy didnt even put the correct VIN on our paper work so we had to go back and get & sign all new paper work and again didnt even get so much as an apology just a new sales guy who wouldnt even look us in the eye.

We just bought 2 cars from central autos! They were amazing! Jered and MIke were exceptionally helpful and not pushy at all, infact, our loan was approved and we went out in our car for an hour discussing it, and they did not bug us once so ever. Patiently waited for us to come back inside and give them our decision! They have really good prices on most of there vehicles, both our cars were below kelly blue book value. They even filled up our tanks and put a brand new battery in Our cars are running beautifully and we couldnt be happier with them and also central auto. I would recommend this dealership to anyone, and I will definitely go back for all my car buying needs!!

Very unprofessional!! I went to look at 2- Lexus RX330s and they were both garbage. The inside of one of them was rusted. The other looked like it was salvage. One salesman came to greet us and started immediately telling us how great the condition the cars were... blah, blah, blah. Then his co-worker came out and started giving us the run-around. Few seconds later they were arguing with each other in front of us about who was going to stay with us. It was comical, but I am NEVER coming here again!!!
