UPDATE ON OCT 06, 2016: Of course, nobody at the service department returned my calls or picked up the phone for a week after phoning in again. I can only assume its intentional and that they dont stand behind their work; just trying to push us off until 30 days are up. When I didnt hear back and couldnt get someone on the phone, I went ahead and took the car to a real mechanic at my own expense. What a sham. Reduced from 2 stars to 1 star. Steer clear of this place and find a dealer that (1) knows what theyre doing and (2) stands behind the quality of their cars; the "certified quality" sticker on the window and the 30 day warranty are useless. **************************** Honestly, Im not pleased. The car buying experience was not terrible, in fact, the financing part was a breeze, but the part Im frustrated with is the quality of their cars and the value of their "certified quality" they claim to back up. Since purchasing my car the brakes started squealing immediately. At first, I couldnt even get a hold of the service department. I called, left messages, nobody called back. Eventually, I had to call and talk to my salesperson to help me get a hold of someone. It took a week to get a hold of them. Then I was told the first appointment was going to be two weeks out. So, I booked the appointment, brought in the car, they resurfaced the rotors, and then the very next day the brakes started squealing again. So I called, got another appointment two weeks out, they worked on the brakes, replaced the rotors, cleaned out the rear drums, and again, the very next day, the brakes are squealing. At this point, the brakes are grinding. There is no way this is normal, and I cannot believe that over the two times theyve had the car to work on it they havent been able to identify the real problem. I called their Service Department to get the car taken in again (third time), but got a voicemail. Hopefully they call back this time. I want this to be a positive experience, but I just cant understand why I would need to miss work for a third time to look at the same problem for a car that was "certified" when I took it off the lot and when I try to get it fixed, I cannot even get a hold of the department thats supposed to do it. Doesnt seem like car quality, or inspection before purchase, is given much thought. I should have just gone to a real dealership and not experimented with what was advertised as the improved car buying experience.

I dont even know where to begin. I have had 4 cars from carmax and this experience has been horrible. The purchasing process was easy but a couple days after having the car, the breaks begin to squeak and the car shakes when Im coming to a stop. I understand that carmax has a 30 day warranty so if there are any problems with the car the service department will fix it for free. I was due to have my navigation system put in anyway that following Monday after purchasing the car so I called them and asked them if they could also check out my engine or break issue. I get there Monday morning and drop my car off at 8am..... the service department calls me at 3pm and tells me they cant install my navigation system because car toys didnt get the shipment. Not only did they not have the shipment..... but they waited till 3pm to tell me this?!?!?! They said they had sanded down something on my breaks and they should be fixed. I drive my car a couple days...still squeaky and STILL shakes when stopping. On top of all of this, i realized the oil hasnt been changed in more than 3 months. Arent cars supposed to have an oil change when you purchase them?? To cut this story short I have had MANY issues with this car and not ANY solutions. My navigation system they installed for $1099 does not accept calls properly, it glitches and my shaking car problem has not been resolved because the 3 TIMES I have taken my car to them they avoid the real issue most likely because they are being lazy or it will cost them too much. I want my car switched out at no charge to me because its a lemon! This experience has changed my whole view on the company i trusted for my car buying experience. I used to recommend carmax to everyone but now because of their service department and the rude car toys they go through, the lack of help I have received and the horrible car I am OUTRAGED

We had a great experience at the Carmax in Parker. Our salesman, Burt, stayed with us through the whole process. They dont hand you off to different people throughout the buying process, except to the nice lady who went through all the paper work with us, and still, Burt was right there with us. We found a car, financed, and drove it away in couple of hours. They gave us 5 days to return it, time to shop the loan if we wanted to, and 30 days to bring it back for anything that needed repairs. We did have a repair and took it in. They gave us a rental car with no cost to us, fixed the car and returned it washed and gassed up. Their online payment process was a breeze to set up. It was the most pleasant experience Ive ever had at a car lot. FYI: they do not haggle. The price listed on the car is the price you will pay. In a way, that takes a lot of pressure off, however, the car we bought was priced above blue book value, but was such a nice vehicle, we decided on it anyway. There are taxes and some fees that are added in. You can buy an extended warranty if you want to. We didnt have a trade-in, so I cant comment about that process. They give you a voucher to get the car smogged, but that money is in the list of things you pay for, so its not free. They showed us a vehicle report. The salesmen are paid a flat fee no matter what you buy, so they have no pressure to upsale you. They do get a little more money if you buy the warranty and the "gap" insurance, but we were not pressured in any way to accept those items. If this customer treatment continues, we will be lifelong patrons of this store.

Read the bad reviews and low star ratings. This is how it is. Those ratings are from actual people that care about what they drive and how they spend their hard-earned money. This dealership gives the meaning of stealership. Look at the car your purchasing closely. Even though they say they have a 150pt inspection or whatever, have it done by someone else. All 4 Tires were near bald and completely cracked. Went on a 5 minute test drive that got nowhere about 45mph. Really?? You expect me to buy a car with that little of a test drive?? Sales staff was horrible Im sorry but if your wanna sell something try and sell it. The car had cosmetic issues that were a deal breaker for me at the price point they wouldnt budge on, and they still insisted on insulting me with a lowball offer on my car I drove in that I didnt even want to trade in. Made me even more frustrated. Carmax is the definition of why I stay away from dealerships in the first place. These commercials about giving you the best cash and whatever are all BS. If you want to save some time dont bother with this place. They are in it to make as much money off of you with a sell and your trade in.The last 5 dealerships I went too in the past few years threw me the keys at me and said take your time, get it on the highway see you in a few hours. Autonation even said take it over night. These guys want to be in the car and direct you how to drive. No thanks. Piss poor dealership
