First Impression so far. I had my car towed to Livingston VW Saturday December 12th, because it lost power and it was blowing white smoke from the exhaust. The car is currently under the factory warranty, I was told by Diane that I would not be able to get a loaner car until they assessed the issue. I was told that they wont get to look at the car until Tuesday, since I did got get a follow up today Tuesday by 1pm PT, decided to call and find out what was going on, Diane my assigned Advisor was busy at the time, I was told they would have her call me back. At 5:30pm since I never got a follow up, I called again, to find out Diane and the technicians were gone for the day. I spoke to the service manager Chris Owens who committed to calling me back tomorrow morning to give me an update and to let me know if there are any available loaner cars. I cant even rent a car at this time since its so late, I will have to figure something out. I hope my experience gets better so far it has not been a good experience. Update 12/16/2015 7:45am I just got a call back from the service manager Chris Owens as she committed, She apologized for what happened before and provided me with details on what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it and test it, if everything goes as plan the car should be done some time today. My experience has certainly improved which is why I decided to add 2 more stars to my rating, I will see if my experience continues to improve or not. Update 12/17/2015 I picked up my care at around 4pm yesterday and everything seems to be working correctly. they were very apologetic about what happened initially, I added another star because they were able to change my experience to a more positive one. Thanks you!

We bring our Passat here for service and warranty service. The guy that helped us was very dismissive of our items to be fixed but quick to charge us for brakes and roters. They had our car for a week and when we picked it up after playing phone tag to see if it was ready, a tire pressure sensor was still not fixed. Now we have to go back again. This is not the first time we have picked up our car and the service was not completed only to inconveniently have to come back. I called to file a complaint and was given to the service manager where I asked for a more formal complaint procedure. Ted the manager said they are an independent dealer so my complaint only goes as far as his desk. We are all lucky to have review websites now. Still waiting to find out if they want us to pay for new tire pressure sensors as they claim that if the tires are not taken off properly they sensors can break at $100 each plus $15 to take each tire off. This would not be covered under warranty. I cant wait to find out what this top secret method to take tires off is and why I was not made aware of it. I guess the next time I have a blowout or need new tires, I will call Ted to be there to personally oversee and manage it.

I was on my way home from LAX and broke down on the 101 - worse case scenario (not near home, after hours, stuck during traffic jam) - I was able to get my car towed to this dealership, but was not from the area so had to leave it while they researched the issue. While the mechanics did not locate the issue immediately, Sal (one of the service managers) called me periodically with updates to keep me informed. After spending a great deal of man hours (not charged for) to locate the issue, they patiently waited for my approval to move forward and fix the issue. I was not in a position to come back to the area soon, so they willing held my car in the locked lot until I could return. The fix was pricey, but fair for the work that had to be done and when I asked if there were any discounts available, Sal had already applied the online coupons to the final total (about $150 off). While I would not take my car here in any normal situation I was very lucky to have a friendly staff (Sal) that I could trust. I would recommend anyone with a Volkswagen to do business with them.

I had a bad experience with the VW in Van Nuys that involved me sitting around for hours and being ignored. My brother told me to try out this VW instead. Right away I looked up reviews and it was mixed bag. I wanted to get my replacement key so I took a chance. Sure enough, as soon as I got there I was greeted and directed to where I needed to be for the key. The parts employees came to me as soon as i got to the desk. I was so surprised on how responsive and very nice everyone there was, it held true for further follow up calls and my following visit. A big contrast to the one in Van Nuys. I couldnt be happier.

I tried to get a price from my local dealer Galpin VW and was unable to get a quote. All I could get was a promise to beat any price by $200. I simply want the price you will sell me the car, nope. Well Neil, I got the price immediately from Livingston VW. Thanks Mickey! I called one other dealer, they could not do the price quoted. Called Mickey back, told him I was driving there, had the car cleaned and gased ready to go. Did my paperwork with Eric and drove home in my new GTI! Sorry Neil, I did not call to have you honor the $200. Maybe when I come there for Service Ill pop in to say "Hi" or not!

Had this dealership perform a warranty repair on my car last year. A weather seal was left off one my headlights during the process. I didnt discover the problem until this past weekend when my headlight filled with water and the bulb shorted out. When I took it in to have them look at it I was told that they couldnt find water in the headlight now so its my problem and presented with a $300 estimate for repairs. Im a former mechanic by trade and its this kind of BS that makes people think we are all crooks. I wouldnt buy a keychain from livingston VW after this experience. Stay away, stay far away

I could not rave more about this dealership, the service was excellent and I felt no pressure to buy. The finance manager Danny Tran got me in the car I wanted and work with me to overcome my credit challenges. He even delivered the vehicle and bought lunch to put icing on the cake. I would recommend this dealership to everyone who doesnt want to be treated as a number but a person.

VW is the worst car to own. I purchase a 2010 VW Tiguan it needed a Engine Repair the 1st week off of the lot. Since then Ive had about 20 repairs to day. Starting in 2014 Ive had a water pump replace every 6mos. Speaking of water pumps my car is now back in the shop again for a water pump. Its been 6mos. So Please do not purchase a VW you will have nothing but problems.
